How do I convert itune music to transfer to cell phone music player.

I have a Samsung Rugby phone that I want to install music to from itunes.  I once found online a step by step instruction to change the file so that the Samsung phone could read the file but now I can't find it on the internet.  Can someone tell me the steps to take to make the Mac music work on a basic cell phone with a music player.  I've done it before but just don't remember how I did it. Thanks, Rick

Basically it is equivalent to transferring songs from an iPod to another iPod- impossible?
Is my only option to transfer songs I purchased on the iPad to my Itune library on the PC and then connect my iPod as usual? Or is there any other more convenient way?

How can I get iTunes to locate and play all my music files?

I have this problem too. I am researching now. Here is what I know so far. If you right click a song then get ifo the it will say Protected AAC or purchased AAC. Protected wont play on sonos, purchased will play on sonos. It seems that all my protected were purchased 2005 to 2009 or so. I am trying to find out if apply will convert these for a small dfee or if I use the itunes cloud these tunes will convert for me. downloading and reloading is not an option for me. Pretty much a money grab by apple either way. I am sure Steve is smiling.

How can I convert Itunes video albums tracks to ipod tracks?

3pg is an odd format... That or I just never seen it before. :P
iTunes just ***** at converting videos. So far all videos I tried converting with iTunes have resulted in the same error you got.
You're better-off using 3rd party apps, and then copying to iTunes, and then copying to the iPod.
Unfortunately I don't know of any conversion programs for Windows.
If you by chance have a mac, this program works great: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/flv2itunes.html
The mac version of Handbrake below works great, hopefully the Windows version does, too:

When converting with handbrake, make sure to use the iPod preset for the out-put video.
    Hope this helps a little.

Try highlighting the tracks in iTunes, right-clicking and Getting Info, then marking them as Part of a compilation.
If that doesn't take care of it, read Apple's document (where the pic came from) -> Why aren't songs with the same album art grouped together?

  • How Do I Download Pictures From My Samsung M320 Cell Phone

Does anyone know how to get the pictures from the Samsung M320 cell phone into iTunes? I tried a USB cable but the computer doesn't seem to want to connect to the camera and do anything with it. I tried Bluetooth and while I seemed to be able to connect it to my iMac I couldn't really seem to do anything with it. I called the store I bought it from and they seemed to think the only way was to use the send picture feature which as far as I can tell I have to pay for and can only send one photo at a time. The phone does not seem to have any remoovable card or anything that the pictures are on.
    Any advice?

That and an actual "data cable" compatible with this phone did the trick. Previously I had a "USB charging cable" from WalMart which is apparently only good for charging not for data. With Datapilot I am able to download the pictures to my hard drive. It can also work with phonebooks and calendars to some extent but I don't need to do that yet and so can't speak as to that capability.
    Cheers!

Yes. Two iDevices can share the same iTunes Library as long as both are configured to use the same Apple ID.

  • How are businesses handling the "APPLE LOCK" on company cell phones when an employee leaves and their phone is unusable because the euipment was set up on the employee's personal Apple Account with their ID and password?

How are businesses handling the "APPLE LOCK" on company cell phones when an employee leaves and their phone is unusable because the euipment was set up on the employee's personal Apple Account with their ID and password?  When an employee leaves a business and the company has purchased the equipment, the company should have the rights to reissue the equipment and Apple should provide an alternative to unlock the equipment from the employee's personal APPLE account and password so the company (that purchased the equipment) can reissue the line and equipment to another employee.

If you can prove ownership to Apple, they may be able to help you.
The best way of handing things would be strong policies requiring that the equipment be turned in in a usable state. i.e. not activation locked. Failing this, the employee should be charged the cost of the replacement phone. Held from their final paycheck if required.

How would I upload a photo to my motorola cell phone?

I am trying to upload a profile photo to www.Logos.com.  I did it before with iPhoto 9, but now that I have iPhoto 11, there doesn't seem to be any place on the Share menu item to allow me to just upload -- I have to depend on Logos to do the work.
I can access the iPhoto Library from my Home settings.   This brings up all the photos, from which I choose one by highlighting it, and respond on the profile page website "Upload"     All I get is a spinning ball and there is no action on my modem that anything is happening.    I've never tried to access the iPhoto Library from iMovie.    I have had no need to, at least I don't think I have a need.

I have an Icloud account, can I set up Itunes on my Samsung S4 cell phone?

On your S4 you can set up your iCloud email account with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864, and sync your iCloud contacts and calendars using SmoothSync for Cloud Contacts and SmoothSync for Cloud Calendars, but that's all.  You can't access iTunes.

  • My hard drive crashed and had to be replaced.  How do I petition iTunes to allow me to redownload my music?

How do I petition iTunes to allow me to re-download all of my purchased music?

First off, if you have a portable device such as an iPod/iPhone/iPad with media on it that at one point and time you purchased from the iTunes Store, you can transfer that back to your computer at any time.
If you absolutely have no copies on a device or backed-up, then Apple is (as I hope you're aware) not obligated to let you re-download any of your purchases. Someone claimed that Apple let them redownload either a song or a handful of songs that they lost when they used the contact apple form here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html?form=music&topic=Music%20Purcha ses&subtopic=Lost%20or%20Missing%20Items. However, I do not know if this is even true or not. I guess if you want to give it a shot you can try that but remember they are not obligated to do this for you.
I hate to be a bummer, but there is a good chance Apple will say we are sorry, but there is nothing we can do, and will advise you to in the future (and this is something I more than echo) is always have your music purchases backed up. Invest in an external hard drive and since you have a Mac, use Time Machine! It's absolutely perfect for backing up your iTunes library and once you plug it in you can forget about it as it updates automatically. It may be a 80-100 dollar investment now but as you may see it is well worth the purchase. So morale of story: back-up back-up back-up!!

  • How do I convert Itunes purchases to my ZEN MicroPhoto??

Okay, I had an Ipod mini and I went through three of them in the warranty time. I was sorely dissappointed with it, but I got a Creative Labs ZEN microphoto for Christmas and I love it. The only problem is that I have all this music that I downloaded from Itunes and I would love to be able to listen to it on my ZEN. I would still like to keep downloading from Itunes because it's the easiest and most legal downloading site that I have found. I know there are converters online, but I can't ever tell if it's legal or it will work. Does Apple have anything (hopefully free) that converts Itunes for my new ZEN???

Are you saying that iTunes downloads are only compatible with iPod's? That in order to play an iTunes download on anything but an iPod involves either illegal conversion or first burning it to a CD? I, too, just received a Zen Vision M and nowhere in the download, signup or anything else process did I see any mention of the fact that iTunes is not compatible with other software/hardward. Yes, the CD conversion trick works but for the aggrevation and lost time it's cheaper to drive to the store and buy the real thing.

  • How can I get iTunes to refresh its database of the music on my PC?

This is what I want to do:
1.Delete a lot of tracks in various folders on my hard drive
2.Then get iTunes to run through its database and compare to my hard drive and remove any references to tracks it can no longer find.
How do I do this? I can't find a way of getting iTunes to order the tracks by folder location, nor does there seem to be a refresh method.
If you want to know why I want to do this:
I had a bunch of music on my PC when I installed iTunes. So iTunes added all the music it could find to its database but basically without any info, like Artist/Album etc etc.
Now, I don't mind importing my CD's again so that iTunes can organise it properly with all the info and track order info, but how do I get iTunes to forget about the stuff that was originally imported? Bearing in mind that I don't want to forget about everything, and also there doesn't seem to be a way of ordering the music by location. If there was, I could just ordrer it that way and then select the tracks I want to delete.
    Thanks in advance...

After a couple of days, I'm noticing that the repeat(ing) offenders have more than 10 episodes, and seem to keep repeating them every time I sync.
They only show once in my phone and in the iTunes Podcasts, but through iTunes and looking at what's in my phone is when I see the repeats.
Even after I've marked a podcast as played, and deleted it from within my phone, as well as telling iTunes to delete the played episodes, it still shows multiples of the played episodes.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it either. They aren't the newest ones either.

  • How Do I Convert iTunes Songs to .wav files

Is there any way to convert iTunes downloaded music to .wav format so they can be used in Adobe Photoshop?

If your purchases are the new DRM free files from EMI, simply change your import preferences to mp3, then right click on the song you wish to convert, then click on "convert to".
If the purchase is not one of the new files, you can burn your purchase to an audio CD, that audio CD can be used like any CD you might purchase at your local store.
