How do I convert to CMYK in Elements 9?

I have an image that I would like to convert from RGB colors to CYMK. Can you provide me the steps to do so?

Elements doesn't support CMYK, unfortunately. Adobe wants you to shell out for Photoshop if you need CMYK, so that's disabled in PSE.

  • How do you convert to cmyk in aperture 3 for printing business cards?

I'm wanting to make my own business cards and post cards online.  The printing companies want cmyk files.  How do I convert my photo files and pages files to cmyk?  I do not use Photoshop, only Aperture 3.5.1.
Please keep it simple.  I'm an old dinosaur and could be your next tank of gas!
    Thanks

You will need some External Photo editor, and you can get to to invoke from with Aperture.  For the price and function, I can recommend GraphicConverter.  Check it out in the Mac App Store for $39.95.
Aperture will create a new master to send to GC, and in GC you click on Picture/Mode and choose CMYK.  Then simply click Save, and it will now be saved in the Aperture Library as CMYK.
Aperture can archive the CMYK, but not convert it.

  • How can I convert a char to element? urgent !!!

I have a String put into an charArray. now I want to convert this char to an Element-Type. Whats the right way ???
    thanks a lot for help

private String htmlTagFilter(String htf)There is absolutely no way to get 'attributes' starting with the above method declaration. String doesn't have that information and nothing you do to it will get it.
Now maybe the value of the string has text which describes an attribute. But if that is the case then you are going to have to go looking for it. That means parsing the string to find pieces and then extract it.
getAttributes()-Method from class javax.swing.text. There is no such class. I would guess you are referring to javax.swing.text.Element and its method getAttributes().
However that method returns an AttributeSet which is an interface. So to create your own AttributeSet you are going to have to know in great detail what exactly goes into that before you can parse a string and create it.
I will go out on a limb here and suggest that you don't really want to parse that String. You are trying to achieve an objective and got off on this tangent. And if you explain how you got the string and what you want to do with it, maybe some one could explain how to do what you want.

  • How can I convert my AVCHD footage to an easier high definition format to edit?

AVCHD UpShift, from NewBlue, convert AVCHD (hi-def MP4) to more standard HD-mpeg (hi-def MPEG .m2t), a format that is both more universally editable and which demands significantly less system resources.
    http://www.newbluefx.com/avchd-upshift.html
    The product sells for $49.95.
Another solution that will convert your AVCHD to formats more easily edited on a PC with no loss quality.
    http://www.shedworx.com/voltaichd
Note, of course, with any conversion, your output files will be much larger, so allow for that extra hard drive space.
    It sells for $34.99.
More information on the why's and how's of converting video for Premiere Elements can be found in my article "Converting Video for Premiere Elements", free from Muvipix.com.

A free converter that will convert AVCHD to Premiere Elements compatible hi-def MPEG2 is the Free AVCHD Converter, available from:
    http://www.koyotesoft.com
According tp Paul Scrivener, you should up the bit rate to 25000kb/s and convert, and it will export 1920x1080 MPEG2.
One downside is that, when you install it, it automatically downloads a search tool to your browser toolbar -- but it can easily be removed using Add/Remove Programs.
For easy editing of AVCHD and even conversion to standard DV-AVI, a great buy is Corel VideoStudio Pro X2. This editor/converter sells for $59.99.

i am on windows 8 platform, i used adobe elements to work on my image - the output is in dng format, how do i convert this to jpg format?

When you make a DNG that's like making another raw file, so you will need to convert the DNG file just like your original raw. Don't use the Save button in the raw converter. That's just a link to the DNG converter. Normally you would click Open instead and then save in the editor as a jpg or other image format of your choice.

  • How can I convert Pdf from RGB to CMYK, keeping font color 100% K while working in Illustrator?

How can I convert Pdf from RGB to CMYK, keeping font color 100% K while working in Illustrator?
When I try to open the document in Illustrator and I convert to CMYK the black font converts to rich black, but to set up for Offset printintg I need the text to be only in Black (100%K).
The original source of the document is a Microsoft Word file, I have converted the Word file to Pdf in order to setup for OFfset Printing.
    Thanks

I have tried that way, but the downside is that the fonts are set in gray not in a 100%K, also I have to deal with other fonts that are composites and meant to stay Full Color. I could select text by text and convert to gray but, its a 64 page document and I wouldn't want to make a expensive mistake.

  • How do I convert a 1-D array of cluster of 5 elements into a 2-D array of numbers? (history data from a chart)

    Hello,
in my vi I have a chart with 5 Plots displaying measurement data.
The user should be able to save all the history data from the chart at anytime. (e.g. the user watches the chart and some event happens, then he presses a "save"-button)
I know, that I can read out the history data with a property node. That is not the problem. The problem is, how do I handle the data? The type of the history data is a 1-D array of cluster of 5 elements.
I have to convert that data somehow into a 2 D-array of numbers or strings, so that I can easily save it in a text-file.
How do I convert a 1-D array of cluster of 5 elements into a 2-D array of numbers?
    I use LabVIEW 7.1

    Gerd,
thank you for the quick response and the easy solution.
Look what I did in the meantime. I solved the problem too, but muuuch more complicate :-)
And I have converted the numbers to strings, so that I can easily write them into a spreasheet file.

  • How do i convert a RAW photo to JPEG in elements 12??? Thanks for any help!

How can i convert a RAW photo to JPEG using Elements 12??

In general, you open and edit the RAW photo in Adobe Camera RAW, and then either
click on Done and then in the Organizer, FIle->Export->As New File and select JPG
click on Open and then in the Editor do a File->Save As and select JPG
You would NOT want to convert an un-edited RAW to a JPG in general, as you would lose all the benefits of RAW (superior image quality) and while retaining all of the disadvantages of RAW (larger file size, extra steps needed, specialized software needed)

  • How to batch convert RGB images to CMYK

    Hello,
Can anyone explain in a step-by-step way how to batch-convert many RGB images to CMYK?
    Thanks in advance

If you do want to use Photoshop for the bact conversion there are a few ways, including Batch and Image Procesor under the File>Automate or File>Scripts of PS.
However, my preference is to use Russell Brown's script: Image Processsor Pro, via Bridge:
    http://www.russellbrown.com/scripts.html
As similar one is Picture Processor:
    http://www.scriptsrus.talktalk.net/
Both allow you to do multiple conversions simultaneously, to different sizes and file types, and running actions before or after the conversions.

  • Pantone 2196 C how to convert to CMYK it is not in CS6

Pantone 2196 C how to convert to CMYK it is not in CS6

Pantone 2196 C is one of the 336 new Pantone solid colours that were introduced in 2012.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5361284
The Lab values for  this colour are 39 -18 -52. If you're using the appropriate CMYK profile for your printing conditions, you could make a new Process Colour swatch using those Lab values, and it will automatically convert to CMYK.

  • How do I convert my Raw Filws taken from my new Nikon d750 camera using Photoshop Elements 11??

How do I convert my Raw Filws taken from my new Nikon d750 camera using Photoshop Elements 11??How do I convert my

The D750 isn't yet supported. It may be a few weeks before Adobe provides an update for the latest versions of Photoshop/Elements. Maybe October/November.
They usually provide a pre-release version a few weeks beforehand (any day now, hopefully), but AFAIK they don't usually work on Photoshop Elements.

Given that you have Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 12 on the same computer....
    1. Know the name of the Elements Organizer 11 catalog (See Elements Organizer 11 File Menu/Manage Catalogs/Catalog Manager).
    Close out of there.
    2. Open the Elements Organizer 12, accessed from Premiere Elements 12.
    3. In the Elements Organizer 12, go to File Menu/Manage Catalogs/Catalog Manager and click on the Convert button in the Catalog Manager dialog.
    4. In the Convert Catalog dialog that appears, look for the name of your Elements Organizer 11 catalog, select it, and then hit the Convert command at the bottom of that Convert Catalog dialog.
    5. From that point onward, follow the messages that you get from the program. (If you have any problems, I will go into deeper details.)
When all is done, you will have your Elements Organizer 11 catalog opened in Elements Organizer 12 where it will remain in use until you switch to another catalog there. Your Elements Organizer 11 will remain as it was in Elements Organizer 11. Moving forward, what you do in the converted catalog in Elements Organizer 12 will not affect the Elements Organizer 11 and vice versa.
Please let us know if you are OK with the above and if it worked for you.
    Thank you.

If you are editing a single psd file in the editor, simply choose 'save as' and specify the jpg format in the save dialog.
If you want to batch convert many psd to jpg in the editor, use the 'File/process multiple files' command.
If you are in the organizer, use the export function and select the jpg format in the export dialog.

  • How do I convert my pc version of Photoshop Elements 5.0 into a mac version??

I am original purchaser and owner of Photoshop elements 5.0, how can I convert it to a mac computer from my old pc?? Thanks

You will need to buy elements 9 or 10, then install that in windows and make a full backup, then restore to the mac version, if you use organizer. If not, you will just need to get a newer version of PSE. PSE 6 through 10 works in lion. For mountain lion, I would go for 9 or 10.
EDIT The boxed versions of PSE 9 and 10 come with the media to install on both platforms. The downloads don't, but you could install in windows as a trial and that would give you time to get your backup done and transferred.
