   Open a file in Acrobat XI.
    Choose Tools > Content Editing > Export File to Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation.

If you have purchased subscription for "Acrobat.com" online service, then all you need is to sign up at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/convertpdf" using your Adobe ID credentials.
Then, click on 'Select files to convert' button (as shown in screenshot below) and choose the PPT file to convert into PDF.

Legend text turns black when converting a .ppt to .pdf

I have a picture of an Excel graph pasted into Powerpoint as an Enhance Metafile. When I convert the .ppt to .pdf, the legend text in the graph turns into a black filled box. Can you tell me how to avoid this? Thanks!

This isn't the proper forum for that. This is for the free Reader application which does not convert files to PDF.
Depending on what you actually use to convert to PDF, you may need a Microsoft forum or the Adobe Acrobat forum.

When you convert from PowerPoint to PDF via Adobe PDF Pack, it will convert each slide in the deck to a page in the PDF file. Unfortunately, there is no way to change that.

The application Acrobat provides no language translation capability.
If you localize the language for OS, MS Office applications, Acrobat, etc to the desired language try again.
Alternative: transfer a copy of content into a web based translation service (Bing or Google provides a free service).
Transfer the output into a word processing program that is localized to the appropriate language.
Do cleanup.
