How do i copy contacts from my iphone to my mac book
how do i make my iphone my default for the source of all my info to be transfered to my macbook and other sources.
such as copying to my macbook. I don't want itunes to use my macbook as most recent. I want itunes to use my iphone as most recent.
If you activated the iPhone 5s from a backup of the 3GS, they should have come over from there. Otherwise, you will have to sync them from the supported application on the computer (Outlook, Address Book) or from iCloud or other cloud service.

You just go to the menu where it shows your iphone when it is syncing it and scroll down until you see the option to back it up to your computer and that should do it, or it at least works for me.

I copied the entire iTunes folder when I switched PC's, all of the application went without a problem.
1) Consolidate library to a network location (I:\iTunes\ <I:\ for iTunes>)
2) Copy the entire iTunes folder from the old PC to the new
3) Map the netowrk drive (or use an external drive)
4) Start iTunes
