Lots of ways; Use the Place command to place a file in another. Open two files and drag one to the other's window tab, drag an image from bridge onto an open file. Open an image, press ctrl/cmd-A to select all, the ctrl/com-C to copy the image, the ctrl/cmd-V to paste it into another image.

You could copy and paste pages from one document to another in Pages '09, but Apple removed this from Pages 5.
Best you can do is copy the content.

How do you 'overlay' one graph onto another in Numbers?

I'm working on a survey and I want to show that the composition of my sample is representative of national trends in terms of gender, occupation, religious affiliation, etc. And I want to represent this graphically by, e.g., displaying the proportion of males and females in the UK population in a bar chart (49% and 51%), and then overlaying onto that the proportion of males and females in my survey (which is more like 40% and 60%), so that the two sets of figures are on top of one another and the reader can judge from that how representative my group is.
How do I do that in Numbers?

The problem with just dragging one on top of the other is that they still act as 2 different graphs. It's also difficult to make the one underneath visible.
A stacked column graph doesn't work either because that puts one column on top of the other. I want them laying on top of one another so that it's easier to compare their relative size. The best near solution I've found so far is to simply use a standard column graph, but with two series (one with the population data, one with my sample data). That puts the two columns for each category (male and female) side-by-side so you can compare easily, but it's not quite what I want.

Use two Finder windows. You can easily drag from one to the other.
However, that may cause permissions problems: the user account you drag the files to may not have permission to change or delete them.
If so, see the blue box in Transferring files from one User Account to another.

How do I burn one cd onto another

We have just just bought an iMac so it is a steap learning curve. Yesterday I tried to burn a CD from a CD. Normally a very easy process. I used the utility program in help and burnt a image but when I tried to burn it to another CD it kept saying the there was not enough space on the cd. There was plenty of space on the cd so I am not sure why it was doing it.
Is there some easy cd buring software for Macs? I have to burn lectures for correspondence students every week so it is important to have straight forward easy software. Have done a search of the bulliten boards but there have not been any straight forward answers.

A simple Paste does not work for you?
It should place the clipboard content as a new Layer which you can then move around.
If there is any chance that the elements need to be scaled, rotated etc. I would prefer to place them as Smart Objects (File > Place …) and do the masking that is specific to the images themselves in those.

How to copy one request to another new request?
I have a released workbench request in which it has around 1200 Objects (including data elements, domains, programs and many more), now i need to copy all these objects into a new request.
I can do this by SE03 (Include Objects in a Transport Request ) transaction, but it is a lengthy process.
Is there any way to copy directly in one go.
Plz help...

The thing is like this....
i have a released request in which we have more than 1200 objects, in that i dont need 10 objects.
so when i create it as copy of transport request, i just deleted those 10 objects and saved.
Now, if i transport the new request how many objects will go? 1200 or 1190?
in the new request i am getting the old request under Comment: Object List Included.
is it necessary to transport the old request?
i need to transport only 1190 objects.

How to copy one schema into another

I need to copy one schema into another. That means, all the tables, views, constraints, etc, and all the data as well.
I have a dmp file of source-schema (created daily with expdp by our backup schedule).
Can I use impdp to import this dmp file into dest-schema? I'm thinking about something like this:
The dmp file was created with:
expdp source-schema/pwd DIRECTORY=dmpdir DUMPFILE=myproject.dmp
Create the copy on dest-schema with:
impdp dest-schema/pwd DIRECTORY=dmpdir DUMPFILE=myproject.dmp
(dest-schema is an existing schema on the same machine. I'll drop all the tables before executing the command. Is there anything else I should do first?)
If this approach is not feasible, kindly suggest me an alternative.

Thank you both. Dean, I've made a note of your proposed command. May use it next time.
In the end I used the following command and it worked for me. I added TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=REPLACE since the destination was not empty.
First I ran these command logged in as SYS
GRANT Import Full Database TO dest-schema;
GRANT Create Any Directory TO dest-schema;
GRANT Unlimited Tablespace TO dest-schema;
impdp
dest-schema/pwd
DIRECTORY=dmpdir
DUMPFILE=myproject.dmp
REMAP_SCHEMA=source-schema:dest-schema
TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=REPLACE
LOGFILE=implog.log
There were some errors though. The import process complained about constraints referencing non-existent primary keys.
It turns out that the source schema has some constraints that are marked with status DISABLED. These constraints either:
- are not part of the DUMP file
or
- are in the DUMP file but skipped during import
Don't know if this is a bug or by design behavior.

I suggest to watch online tutorial videos. Check Adobe TV for a first start.
About your question: Open both images in PS, then switch to the one you want to add, press Ctrl+A (selects everything), press Ctrl+C (copy everything in the layer), assuming your image only has one layer, then this is OK. Then switch to the other image and press Ctrl+V to paste. PS will create a new layer and paste the image 1:1.
Alternatively, open only the target image and place the other image per drag 'n drop in the target image, which will let PS make it a smart object (not 1:1, but can be resized).
Then do whatever you want with the layer of the added image.
