How do I correct the Event time stamp in iPhoto?

When I updated my iMac to Lion, the Events in iPhoto are no longer sequenced by time correclty. The incorrectly sequenced Events have the wrong time / data stamp. How do I edit the Event time/date stamp to correct the problem?

Hi LarryHN,
The version of iPhoto is 8.1.2. I found your workaround on other strings, and tried it, to no avail. This issue has happened to three of my Event folders -- all from the same three-week trip. I had each day separated into different events and named consecutively. At some point, I uploaded all those photos to photobucket, and I believe the three troublesome Events perhaps were corrupted in some way after that upload? Regardless, I can't seem to fix it. All of the photos have the correct date (for example, in one Event, all photos are dated 12/25/11). However the date range on the Event is 12/31/09-1/7/12. So, those three Events keep getting sorted out of sequence.
I opened one of the Events, highlighted one photo and selected Create Event. That new photo became a new Event. I re-named it, and dragged all the photos from the old Event into the new Event. ...Unfortunately, the new Event still has the weird Date Range on it?
Any ideas?

  • How do you remove the date/time stamp from a photo before printing?

    I have one group of photos in an event that have the date and time stamp on them.  I don't know how to remove the date/time stamp before printing.

    If you have your camera set to imprint the date/time on the photo you can not "remove it - it is a part of the photo - depending on the surounding photo you might be able to retouch it out

  • How do you vary the Date/Time stamp format in File Adapters

    In the receiver channel of the File Adapter where you specify the 'File Name Scheme', you do have the option of specifying a 'File Construction Mode' of 'Add Time Stamp'.  How can you specify a different Date/Time stamp format ( eg MM/DD/YY vs YYYYMMDD vs MMDDYY, etc. ) without changing the Date/Time stamp for the entire SAP system?  Also, can you control where the Date/Time stamp appears in the filename?

    Hi,
    There are many threads discussing the same issue. Go thro the following:
    Dynamic file name (Date) in Receiver File Adapter
    Receiver File Adapter - TimeStamp
    Bhavesh's reply in above thread:
    You can use Adapter Specific Identifiers and then change the file name in the mapping. Append the tiem stamp in the format that you want and so on.
    Just use this code in an UDF,
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String SourceFileName = conf.get(key);
    java.text.SimpleDateFormat dateformat = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat( "yyyyMMdd" );
    dateformat.format( new java.util.Date() );
    String newfilename=SourceFileName+dateformat;
    // change to new file name
    conf.put(key, newfilename);
    return "";

  • In Calendar, Month view, how do I show the event time (as it used to)?

    I have always used to Calendar in the Month view to see the events and the starting times. After upgrading to Mavericks, the start times in the Month view no linger show. How can I restore that feature.

    Another screw-up
    The original Calendar was really easy to use, a real gem of an app.
    The "New" version is "slimmed down" so that data entry is not as easy as it was, becuse the original template has lost many of its spaces.
    Further, the display, once an entry has been made, is sparse, to say the least (pun not intended).
    There is an old, wise, saing, "If it is not broken, don't fix it"
    The old Calandar was not broken, why meddle with it ?
    Just to give the impression of an "Upgrade" ?

  • How can I see the commit time stamp for a transaction?

    I’m looking to see if there is any way to tell, through a select, when a transaction was committed?
     I know you can get the transaction id by selecting the
    sys.dm_tran_current_transaction within a trigger and saving it to the table your writing to. But once you have that can you later use that transaction ID to see when the transaction as a whole was committed. This
    would be similar to the way change tracking uses the sys.dm_tran_commit_table, and the $sys_change_xdes_id field on the table being tracked, but you could do it through a select without being logged into a DAC connection. My question pertains to SQL Server
    versions 2005 and greater, but if this can only be done in a specific version please let me know.
    This would pertain to a read committed isolation level if that makes a diffrence.
     Thank you

    you should never (ab)use a designated backup-setup for 'ordinairy' storage tasks.
    plus, the wireless connection to TC is too slow for iMovie.

  • How can I get the elapse time for execution of a Query for a session

    Hi ,
    How can I get the elapse time for execution of a Query for a session?
    Example - I have a report based on the procedure ,when the user execute that it takes say 3 min. to return rows.
    Is there any possible way to capture this session info. for this particular execution of query along with it's execution elapse time?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
    You can use the dbms_utility.get_time tool (gives binary_integer type value).
    1/ Initialize you time and date of beginning :
    v_beginTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
    2/ Run you procedure...
    3/ Get end-time with :
    v_endTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
    4/ Thus, calculate elapsed time by difference :
    v_elapsTime := v_endTime - v_beginTime ;
    This will give you time elapsed in of 100th of seconds...
    Then you can format you result to give correct print time.
    Hope it will help you.

  • How can I get the Date & Time to appear on my final project in iMovie11?

    I am using iMovie 11 and have imported video from a Canon Vixia-HF21 camera. The EXIF data is imported along with the video but when I produce the final product, the date and time do not appear.  How can I get the Date  & Time data to appear on the final product?

    There is a date and time Title you can use. If I recall correctly, it displays date plus hours and minutes, but not seconds.

  • Adding the date/time stamp to videos already created

    We have someone using Elemets 8
    They need to add in the date/time stamp to video's that are already created.
    The camcorder we have does record this information but doesn't allow that information to be put onto the screen its a Canon HD HF200
    We were told by Adobe support we can do this but they wanted $39 plus $39 an hour.
    Anyone out there able to tell me how we can get this done for free?

    You may try something like this.
    create or replace and compile java source named filehandler as
    import java.lang.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.sql.Timestamp;
    public class FileHandler
      private static int SUCCESS = 1;
      private static  int FAILURE = 0;
    public static Timestamp lastModified (String path) {
        File myFile = new File (path);
        return new Timestamp(myFile.lastModified());
      }Then the wrapper
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION lastModified (p_path  IN  VARCHAR2) RETURN DATE
    AS LANGUAGE JAVA
    NAME 'FileHandler.lastModified (java.lang.String) return java.sql.Timestamp';PS: Not tested.

  • Upgrading to Photos When Event dates do not fall in the Event time period

    I would like to upgrade my IPhoto library to Photos.  My Library is organized by Events, and not all photos in a given event is for the same time frame. Example January 2015 Event may contain some pictures from the beginning of February if the event went over to the next month.
    Do I have to make all my Events pictures have the same dates as the Event time period?  (beach edit)
    I noticed that Photos App puts everything in date sequence, so how do I maintain the pictures I want in a certain event?
    I would like to organize my library first before upgrading to Photos
    Thanks for your Help
    Mel

    Mel, when you migrate your iPhoto Library to Photos, all your events will be mapped to albums. For each event you currently have, you will find an album in the folder "iPhoto Events" with all photos from that event.
    Don't change the dates of your photos, that will just destroy information. Keep creating new albums for set of photos you would previously add to one event.
    You may also want to add keywords to photos you want to group in one album. Then you can use smart albums based on keywords.
    Photos does not yet support batch changing of titles or captions. Also, you cannot add places in photos.
    Before you migrate your library, you may want o do all batch edits for titles and captions, and ensure, that all your photos have places assigned.
