How do i create a button which will show new content on same page?

Hello,
I hope someone can help.
I have an image; it's a circle with different parts and different colors for each part. I inserted an image in this post.
I want to be able to make a button out of each part (will do this with Photoshop), BUT i want to have a text shown on the right from the wheel if you click on a particle of the circle. So i don't want it to go to a new page, but i want to have a textframe to pop-up when you click. And when you click on a different part of the circle a new text will occur (and the old one won't show).
Hope i made my question clear, english is not my motherlanguage so i'm sorry if my sentences are a bit weird.

Hello,
You can achieve this using a blank compostion widget ot a tooltip widget.
You would need to use "no fill" for the trigger containers so that they are transparent and then place them onto each portion of the image.
Now when user clicks on that portion of the image, the trigger above it gets clicked and in a target container you can have the text displayed.
The only issue here would be that the trigger containers would be of square/rectangular shape so you might not be able place them peroperly to cover all the sections of the image.

In Adobe Acrobat 8, I was able to create a button that would show the menu bar using Link Properties. In version 9.0, the option I used is missing.

I currently run OS X 10.10.1
Now i have been trying to work on this for a while now and what i want to do should be simple but its apparently not.
Here is an example of what i want to happen.
I will have 2 tabs: Contact | Sales
Now Contacts will have the list of names and various information about a customer, While Sales will have one drop-down box for each Cell Row that will show the names of the person in tab contacts
for what i am wanting to do i cant use the data format pop-up menu because the list is edited everyday several times a day.
Now how do i do this, Excel can do this so how can numbers do it?

Button to Load New Content on Same Page

I'm not new but I don't design enough websites in a year to keep up with all the new technology & I'm afraid I've missed some of the basics along the way.
I design my sites with DIVs within Dreamweaver CS5 & I want to have a button within a DIV that when clicked will change out the entire content of another DIV, including pictures & text, etc...
Basically I want to load a new page within a DIV on the same page.
Very similar to what I used to do with frames back in the old days.
I'm guessing there's a simple solution but I don't even know where to start with this.
Any suggestions or help here will be greatly appreciated.

I hope you don't plan to build your entire site around this model. If you do, your home page is going to take forever to load. And people on dial-ups and mobile devices won't appreciate all that excess bandwidth.
A well-conceived web site should have separate pages to deal with each topic. Also, search engines will treat you better if your site has pages with unique <titles> on them. To make a consistent looking site (with same menu, header & footer on all pages), consider using DW Templates or Server-Side Includes.

How do I create radio buttons which hide certain fields when selected?

I have a set of two radio buttons, "Yes" and "No"
When the "Yes" radio button is selected, I would like the "Bank Name", "Branch Number", "Institution Number" and the "Account Number" field to all be blocked from entering content into them.
When the "No" button is selected, I would like for all of these fields to be available to be written in.
I can do this currently with check boxes, but the problem with those is that both boxes can be checked at the same time, which is problematic.
How can I make it so that the radio buttons control whether or not the fields can be written in!

Yes, I have done this. The buttons are mutually exclusive. The are in the group "Vendor EFT" - one is named "Yes", one is named "No".

How do i create a button that will always play my flv, not just once?

I'm currently using captivate 5.5 and need to use a button to load my flv. That button works fine and when the flv finishes it returns me back to the slide with the button on, the problem is the button no longer works when you press it again if you want to see the flv again...help! My flv is set up to not be visible as I want it to be hidden until the button is pressed as it cover my entire slide when it loads. I set it to run for the duration of the clip so it's great when it returns me to my slide but then the button won't make it visible again when you press it. I tried setting the button to enable after show hoping it would reset the button but that doesn't work...as you can see I only know the basics of Captivate!

The issue may be due to the fact that once you've clicked the button its Success criteria has been used. This can be reset by re-entering the slide where the button is located.
So in order to have your video play multiple times, you may need to use a different strategy than your current one. You could try placing the video on a different slide to your button. Set the button click to jump to that slide, and once the video has finished playing, set the OnSlideExit action to jump back to the slide with the button. That way your button gets reset each time ready for another click to launch the video slide.

I am using financial reporting studio for reports.
I have a planning appliaction. And i used Zones as the Entity Dimension.
Now I am trying to create a report for users to see my entity dimension hierarchy.
Something like Zones
East
West
North
South
I am able to generate the report but the hierarchy of the Zones does not show up..
Can anybody advice if there is a option in Financial Reporting to make the hierarchy structure more visible by adding proper indentation between the parent and the child?..
And yes i have used a prompt for the Entity in the report....

Please try using Tooltip Composition Widget to achieve that..
You need to customize the trigger as the button and you can use the target to insert desired text box or images.
you can find this in Widgets library panel > composition

Just a bit more info. E-mail can be used, but has potential problems -- often related to the client machine that you have no control over. Use the data submissions (either FDF or XML) rather than the full PDF so you do not have to deal with Reader Rights and the related license issues. The FDF and XML data files are easily imported into the original form so that you see what the client sees. With those aspects in mind, just go ahead and try one. Be aware that you can add form fields using the form tools in the Advanced Editing tools, OR use the forms menu that will take you to Designer. You might want to try both to see the pros and cons. Be sure to keep such a test simple so you are not wasting time on your final form just for testing. I typically create a 1 page form that has all of the possible fields for such a test.

Hi, I am trying to make a rpg style character select interface. What i am trying to do is very similar to the picture below. How do you create a button like the stats, gear, and supplies that will each show a different image or text depending on which character you choose. If noone have played this marvel facebook game before, if you choose for instance Ironman, then the buttons on the right change to stats, bio, and gear. Each character will show a different bio when the bio button is clicked. Do i create a different screen for each character with the same button layout in the same place? While you could create a different screen for each, a better way to do this is via some form of database. The buttons cause functions to be executed and the functions utilize data resources based on the selections that are established.
So if you pick a particular character, a variable is a assigned a value that indicates that. That variable is then utilized to extract the data associated with the character and to build the screen elements related to the options for that character.
