How do I create a path so scans to a Windows server come to my iMac.

I'm the only Mac user in a PC office. Scanned docs for me now go into a folder on the server which I have to access from a PC and then move contents to my DropBox. Is there a way to configure the scanners so my scanned docs come into a folder on my Mac or, at least, into a Dropbox folder?

The answer depends on the scanner being used. If it supports Apple's version of SMB protocol, then you could send the documents to a shared folder on the Mac. If it does not support Apple's SMB protocol, then you could install a 3rd party utility like SMBUp on the Mac which will permit the authentication to the Mac and allow you to scan to a nominated shared folder.
Or, if the scanner supports the FTP protocol, then you can enable this protocol on the Mac and create an address book entry in the scanner to connect to the desired folder on your Mac.
If you don't know the answer to the above then reply with the brand and model of scanner being used so that I can check its specifications.

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
Did you follow the instructions on that page exactly when creating the account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) ? e.g. if doing it on your phone and you are currently logged into an account then log out of it, find a free app in the app store app, tap on its free price button, tap 'install app', and then tap on 'create new apple id' on the popup that you get. I tried those instructions on my phone a few days ago in response to another thread and I got the 'none' option on the payments screen.

I have installed JDK: 1.7.0.
I have succesfully installed web logic version wls1035_generic.jar.
I have also installed the FMW version 11.1.1.2.0 using all four disks(Install and donot configure.)
I have also installed patch version 11.1.1.3.0.
But When I am trying to run config.bat then It Stops at Creating Domain at 0%,nothing happens, process is sleeping:
It creates domain of size 9.23 mb and after a long time of approx 900 min It displays "DOMAIN CREATION FAILS".
I have also checked the path ..It doesnt contains any special characters.
Any ideas???

As per ur suggestion , I have successfully installed FMW 11g in Windows server without Domain Fail.
1). Installed JDK 1.6u29
2). Installed WebLogic 10.3.3
3). Installed FMW 11.1.1.2
4). Installed FMW 11.1.1.3 Patch
Now According to the Business need ,I want to install FMW 11.1.1.2 in Linux 32 Environment. Can U please guide me the versions of Java, Weblogic, FMW and its patch so that I can Install it in Linux 32 bit without Domain Fail.

I work with scans and regular pdf docs which require text boxes to be placed and then text added. Some of the text is repetitive like Name and Address etc but some maybe unique like price and quantity. You will need the Professional version of Acrobat because this version provides the Acrobat Forms Tool and LiveCycle Designer program either of which can create form fields. You choice of product will depend upon what you want to accomplish and how well either product will meet that need. Both products can connect to SQL data bases and both can import data from properly formatted files.
You might want to OCR the scans and add tags to the elements of the OCRed document so you could use the "automatic field recognition" feature of version 8. Not perfect,but it could save work.

Applications written for average users like Photoshop, Word, i.e. GUI based applications provide a 'Save' dialog box which while allow selecting second drives or any drive. The dialob box initially shown might be in the simple mode but you just need to click on the triangle to show the full set of options. You should then see the different drive names amongst other options.
If your referring to an application your writing yourself then you need to build a pathname. This can be in one of two styles depending on the programming system your using. This could be a POSIX style path or a Mac style path.

How do I create a path based on the arc of a crescent?

I've created a crecsent by using the pathfinder and two circles. I also used the blend tool to create a line of evenly spaced, much smaller cirles. I want to create a path to use as a spline to align the series of small spheres evenly along a path that follows the inside arc of the crescent perfectly. I need to create a single path that follows the inside curve of the arc at a distance of, say, 0.1 inches all the way along so I can use that as a replacement spline. Unless there is a simpler method.

Another workaround that came to me last night was to create two circles on top of each other. Then I offset one and put H and V guides through it's center. I used the pathfinder on them to create the crescent. Then I made a small circle which I placed a certain distance from the top edge of what used to be the offset circle. Then I rotated a copy around the point which is the center of what used to be the offset circle. Then Crl+D until the arc is complete.
I prefer your method though because it leaves more editing options if I want to go back and change blend options on the arc of circles and also because my workaround only works if the inside arc was created with a perfect circle and not an oval.

How do I create a bootable USB Drive to install Windows 7 on a MBP Retina

I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a MBP Retina.(I'm running Mountain Lion) I followed BootCamp's directions to create a bootable copy of Windows on a USB Flash Drive. When I go to install, Boot Camp creates the partition, but I get a Windows black screen that says that "there is no bootable drive - hit any key". I have to force shut down, because hitting any key does nothing. I tried the Bootcamp directions at least 3 times, but have been unable to get the USB Drive to start up the Install program. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ricoh Aficio MP C2051 Scan to Folder - Windows Server 2012 Error: Authentication with the destination has failed check settings

I have recently upgraded a clients servers to Windows Server 2012 & since doing so have lost the ability to scan to folder.
Both servers are domain controllers and previously on a 2008 domain controller I would have had to make the following change to allow scan to folder:

However I have applied this to the Windows 2012 server but am still unable to scan, possibly due to added layers of security in server 2012. The error on the scanner is Authentication with the destination has failed check settings.
I have also tried the following at the server:
Policies -> Security Policies
Change Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level to: Send LM & NTLM - Use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated.
Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) clients and uncheck the require 128 bit.
Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) servers and uncheck the require 128 bit
I have created a user account on the server for the ricoh and set this in the settiings of the Ricoh and verified everything is correct.
Are there any other things I have missed?

Physical Path in File Adapter for Windows Server

Hi There,
I am trying to read a file from a directory on a windows server and write it to the same server in a different directory.
In the file adapter I gave the value for physical path as below:
"\\10.xx.34.xxx\Share\input".
However I am getting below message in the debug:
"Value specified for input Physical/Logical Directory is not a directory or is not readable."
Hence my question is what should be the value in the physical path for windows server.

Actually they are not on the same file system.
I have successfully used FTP Adapter to connect to a UNIX server.
However is it possible to use FTP Adapter for Windows Server. If so how should be the corresponding JNDI defined.
I am getting below error when I use FTP Adapter for Windows Server:
Unable to send file to server. [Caused by: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.]
; nested exception is:
ORABPEL-11429
Error sending file to FTP Server.
Unable to send file to server. [Caused by: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.]
Please ensure 1. Specified remote output Dir has write permission 2. Output filename has not exceeded the max chararters allowed by the OS and 3. Remote File System has enough space.

I have Windows Server for file server and share folder, I have created some shred folders for our departments, based on their request I put specific names belong to department into share folders those users only has access for the share folder, for some unknown
reason some one has deleted all the data inside share folder in the file server, my question is how can I monitor or know who is deleted the information inside share folder because I have more than one user it has access on the share folder, is there any way

Auditing access of shared folder will show you : who deleted shared folder data.
You can follow below steps :
Open Group Policy Editor by typing gpedit.msc to Start menu's search field or Run dialog window and hit Enter.
Go to Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies Audit Policy, double click to open Audit Object Access.

How to remove the older entries of backup sets in windows server

Hi guyz,
we are using windows server backup feature.. and we are backing up files and folders to remote shared location.
the problem that we are facing is that, we run this backup every day using a script to new folder (folder name=datemonthyear) , and after each 30 days we start deleting the oldest entry from the shared location
so its similar to the retention days feature of the dpm.
but the problem is that even though we delete the actual backed up folder from the shared location, its entry is still there and we can see that when we type Get-WBBackupSet
can any one tell me how to delete this entry whenever we delete the folder...
plz help me guyz.

We can use "wbadmin delete systemstatebackup" command line to delete old versions. If the backup storage location is full, Windows Server Backup automatically deletes the oldest backup version and only the latest backup will be available.
