How do I create a rescue email after I've already created an Apple ID/Account.

I dont remember my security questions answer, and I understand the whole process of having a Rescue Email but I see that I made the mistake of not making one when I first made this account. I would like to know right now, step by step, how to make a rescue email with a already created account. I don't want a link unless it specifally says how to with an already made account, because I've been through so many threads that have been very unhelpful so far. Please help!

If you don't have already have rescue email address then you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset - you won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then try Apple ID Account Security
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

Note that the rescue email address is not on the "Name, ID and Email Address" page -- you need to click on "Password and Security" on the left side. Even after you do that, it may or may not be available. Did you follow, exactly, the instructions on the HT2534 page that you posted from when creating the account ? I've just tried those instructions and got the 'none' option on a new account

If not, and if you don't want to enter credit card details (you should be able to remove them after entering them) then you will need to create a new account, using the instructions on the HT2534 page when creating it. If you want to use the same email address then you will need to replace it on that account first e.g. via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

There is no way to create a rescue email address without correctly answering two of the questions. You need to ask Apple to reset them; ways of doing so include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

Once you have created a rescue address, you cannot delete it, nor can you change it to the same address as used by your ID. There are numerous providers you can get additional email addresses from, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Google etc etc.
