I need to create a scrolling banner on my index page. I tried looking thru all the options in dreamweaver with no luck. If someone can help me I would appreciate it.

Dreameaver can't create something like that out of the box, you need to use some type of script for the 'scrolling' to work.

You can create a scroll motion where the image will fade out on scrolling, you need to use the Opacity tab under Scroll Effects Panel.
If you particularly need the image to be blur out, then you need to edit that image in any image editing program and make one copy of that image as blurred, then place both images (actual and blurred) on that page and use scroll motion or fade option to replace images.

How do I create a scrolling slideshow in iMovie?

So I know how to make a basic slideshow in iMovie, but I'd like to create a "scrolling/sliding" slideshow (see link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXit8kxCCTg). That video uses videos, however, I'm using still pictures. The pictures can all just be side by side too, they don't have to stack like one on top of the other (I'll edit all my photos before hand to make them the same height). I'm using iMovie '11. I'll probably have 150-300 pictures all together. I'd also love to add a timeline to the bottom of the pictures to scroll with the pictures...should I just add that in to each individual picture before hand, and then put it all into iMovie, or can I do it all in iMovie? Also, towards the end of that youtube video, it all starts scrolling backwards....is there a way to do this???
Basically, I'd like to create a scrolling picture timeline with continuous text scrolling across the bottom that I can also play in reverse. Is this even possible in iMovie? I agree with John that you could do this in Final Cut Pro X and Motion, but there is probably a plugin that you can purchase that would do the hard work in Motion for you.
I think it might be technically possible to do this in Motion and export out in a file that iMovie can import, but in the video example, there is a lot more going on such as multicam syncing that would require Final Cut Pro X. Motion's strength is not to use it as a video editor. It is best used as a way to create a special effect that you can then use in a FCPX project. (just my opinion)

How do I create dynamic scrolling text in Flash CS5?

Hi everyone,
I am a complete newbie to Flash. I'm tyring to build a scrolling text box that automatically scrolls. On mouse over, I want the scrolling to stop so users can click on an item in the text box. All of the items will be tied to external hyperlinks. I want to populate the text box with an external file. I've done some searches on Adobe, but haven't found anything that takes me through the whole process.
I have the complete Adobe Master Collection. So if this is easier in Flash Catalyst, let me know. I know how to buid a manual scroll box in Flash Catalyst. Could I export this to and add the auto-scrolling?
Remember, I'm a complete newbie.

How can I create new specific Purchasing flexfield in header

In Oracle purchasing, I created new flexfield named " Due_date", type is "date" , I can insert or update this segment without any problem, but" I want when I insert new date in flexfield "Due_date"
equal or greater than system_date acceptable date, and if I insert in seem flexfield "Due_date" value date less than system date application is not acceptable.
How can I create flexfield is not accepatble new date less then system date, only can acceptable date equal or greater than system_date ?

How do I create a scrolling text banner?

I need to create a Flash banner. Fairly straight-forward in terms of looks - a long list of services that scrolls from right to left and then loops continuously.
I'm using Flash MX 2004. So far I've created the text - it comes on from the right and leaves on the left. The problem I've got however is how to make this a continuous, seamless loop. When it goes off on the left I can't figure out how to make it come back on from the right.
Any suggestions?

Hello: I haven't used Dreamweaver for awhile, but just
purchased the Education version of Dreamweaver 8 and need some
advice. What I would like your help with is how to create a
variable length webpage pane (vertical scroll bars only) that would
contain a 3 column table. The number of rows loaded into the table
would change each month.
I've been able to create and load a 3 column table in DW8,
but since the page length varies according to the number of entries
loaded in the table, I loose sight of column headings and other
page data. What I would like to do is populate a list box that
would allow users to scroll thru just a few table rows at a time
thereby keeping the column headings and other data displayed on the
page.
Can you point me to some code to accomplish this or to the
name of the feature(s) I need in the documentation?

I know that I can insert a HTML scrolling textbox but the standard scrollbar is very outdated looking and not very designer friendly when I'm having to link each item to a page or slide.
Another scrolling menu option is a popup menu that scrolls like the attached screen shot.

In my opinion depending on what content you have for your menu you may be best off using the tooltip widget where you can make the drop menu as large or small as you need.
You can take a look at the way Muse Grid did it this widget ... I think it would work quite well for almost any situation.

Scrolling Marquee created in Flash 5.5 Pro not working in CP5.5

Hi all.
I've created a scrolling marquee .swf within Flash 5.5 Pro which has the dimensions of 30x205.
This works perfectly both testing the scene in Flash as well as when you view the .swf on it's own.
However, when I import the .swf into Captivate 5.5 and run the project, the scrolling text starts perfectly but then doesn't stop, i.e. it is not bounded by the original size of the Flash project so I end up with the message sscrolling right across the screen till all the text is visible, when it disappears.
I'm not sure if this is a Flash problem where I have missed something or done something wrong, or a Captivate problem.
I'm really VERY new to Flash so I'm guessing it is something I haven't done.
I understand that you can force Flash projects to be bounded to an area of the screen by using AS3, but I have no coding experience and am stuck.
Can anyone help?
I'm happy to share the relevant files if anyone wants to see what I've done.

Col, it's just one of the quirks in the way that Flash works. Even though youv'e set your Flash document size to be only 30 pixels by 205 pixels, if you have the text starting off stage and scrolling onto the stage, then the REAL stage area (including the scrap area around the stage) MUST be larger than 30x205 right?
So what happens is that unless you mask the stage area to hide the bits you don't want to see, if you place that SWF into another SWF that has a larger stage area, then the scrolling text will be visible even before it gets to what you thought to be the visible stage area.
So you need to get your head around the concept of Masking in Flash to pull off what you want to do here. With masking, you're actually looking through a window the same size as the mask to see the scrolling text. Then even when you bring it into a larger SWF like the Captivate movie, all you're going to see is the area covered by the mask.
I tried to get to your FLA file but couldn't find it in Acrobat.com for some reason. Message said the file could not be found.

Go to the layout editor.
Take the Stacked canvas tool in the toolbox
draw a stacked canvas on the content canvas (the stacked can could be larger than the content one)
edit you item properties to display on the content canvas
adjust the window to the same width and weight properties than the content canvas.
The simplest way it to use the datablock wizard to create the data block, then indicate to show items not on the content canvas but the stacked canvas.
