How do I create a verticle scroll window in a table??

I'm stuck... again. I need to make this table window be able
to scroll so I can add text and not have in overflow into repeated
windows.

sry for the lateness of my reply.
I would simply make a button that when clicked, displays a layer containing your disclaimer text. The discliamer text would be inside a Movie Clip (MC) for ease of controlling.
the MC then contains a text field which has a scrollable field. as the user scrolls through you can then display a "close" button to close out the disclaimer MC.

How do I create more than one "window"?

Hi.
I just started with JavaFX and know about the basics (at least I thought so).
But: How do I create an application with more than one "window"?
One stage has one scene with several components like buttons - ok... I already have a stage with a scene with buttons and actions - Now I want to click one of these buttons and then get to another stage (or scene or whatever) where I see some other textfield and buttons.
How do I realize this with JavaFX? I did not find anyone example in the web? What am I missing? Do you not create this flow with JavaFX?
Please can someone explain this to me (and if possible post a link where I can some code where this is implemented)?

#1 I don't know what a "shell window" is. There are shells (programs that accept terminal input and run scripts), and there are windows (usually drawn by an Xclient (like xterm), or a toolkit client (dtterm, gnome-terminal).
The two are very different. You may just want to run xterm or something and assume that it will also launch a shell.
#2 You'll need to explain that one better. system() is the normal way to launch external commands. If you don't want to use it, you'll need to explain why it's not useful here.

But when I activate it, I get a waring and therefore can not create this index. But if I select radio button "non-uniqe index", it works.
However I have to reate a unqiue index.

HI Wang
You can create your index via SE11, enter the table name, click change, choose Go To, Indexes. Here create your index with the key fields that you want. To use the index, your select statement WHERE clause, you must have the key fields of the index in the order that they appear in the index. The "optimizer" will choose the index depending on your fields of the WHERE clause.
One thing to remember is that when you create indexes for tables, the update or insert of these tables may have a slower response then before, I for one have never seen a big problem as of yet.

How do we create a CURSOR that consists of two TABLESA cursor does not consist of data. A cursor is not a result set that is created in the memory of the database server and populated with "+results+".
A cursor is source code (SQL or anonymous PL/SQL block) that has been compiled into an executable program. The execution plan (see the EXPLAIN PLAN SQL command) describes the structure of this program and how it will be executed.
When you fetch data from a cursor, you are receiving the output of this executable program known as a cursor.
So as the other respondents explained in this thread, you need to create SQL source code that joins tables. Then you send this SQL to the server, where it is parsed and compiled into a cursor in the database's Shared Pool (together with all other SQLs that the database received - all SQLs are compiled as cursors).
Once this is done, you can open the cursor (execute the cursor program) and fetch data from it.

How do I Create a Tabular Form for an Intersection Table

Situation
There are three tables involved (PROJECT, STAFF, TASK)
PROJECT(PROJECT_ID, PROJECT_NAME)
STAFF(STAFF_ID, STAFF_NAME)
TASK(PROJECT_ID, STAFF_ID, HOURS)
There is a many to many relationship between PROJECT and STAFF. The intersection table is TASK.
Issue
I would like to create a tabular form for the TASK table. I would like to be able to click on a button (Add Row) to add a row to the existing tabular form. The row will have a LOV for the PROJECT_ID (showing PROJECT_NAME) and one for the STAFF_ID (showing STAFF_NAME) and a free form text field for the hours.
I've tried a bunch of different ways but am unable to acheive this functionality. I must be doing something wrong. This sort of thing is trivial.
Any guidance/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Adding a new surrogate key column to an existing table is not that big a deal.
alter table t add (pk int primary key);
create a before-insert row-level trigger to populate the key;Other than that, you are out of luck w.r.t the wizards. Yes, you can define a 2nd PK column in the wizard, but then the 2 PK columns becomes read-only (but you want to update them).
You can write your own tabular form using htmldb_item APIs and your own after submit processes to process the updates. See the manual Tabular Form Howto in the documentation.

How can I create a 5 minute window?

What I am trying to do is make a 5 minute window of events that happened last in my application. For some reason, I cannot get the "5 minutes" to be just that. Here is what I want to do:
I want to have events from the event structure written to a file (easy - done). After a specified amount of time ( 5 minutes ), the writing that was happening into this file "fileA.txt" ends. After this ends, a new file is created and the process of writing data to that file continues into this file "fileB.txt". Here's the tricky part: Again now, after 5 minutes, I want to replace the entire contents of "fileA.txt" with new data in this new 5 minute window. This process continues until the VI stops arbitrarily.
The goal with this is after a certain base amount of time that the VI has run, I always have AT LEAST the last 5 minutes of data that occured in the application. Worst case scenario I have only "fileA.txt" in its entirity, best case scenario being I have "fileA.txt" and for example 3 minutes and 30 seconds of "fileB.txt".
I would greatly appreciate any insite into how to finish this. The reoccuring problem for me is that I am constantly getting the Error 1, GPI ....... when the VI tries to write to text file.
I need to do this so I can troubleshoot another VI that keeps shutting down for some reason.

The common way of disabling controls is to ... disable them.
You're mixing different attempts at solutions and throws code, use 1 event-structure.
I've attached a skeleton, there's no real error handling, but it should get you started.
You can easily add a Disable-event if time is more than 5 seconds.

How do I create a new document window with JS

I would like to create a new window for an open document modify the duplicate document, export and close leaving the original document in it's original state. Is there a way to do this with Jave script?
If I were to do this manually I would go to the Window menu and select > New Window. Then I could make the changes I want, export and close without changing the open file.
How to sript this?

What I really want to do is save a copy : File > Save a Copy and then open the copy.
The reason I don't like the saveAs() is that your original document is no longer open, so you then have to reopen it. You lose the ability to undo.
I want to be able to run an export script that modifies the document and exports to photoshop but I want to do this without disrupting my work on the original document. The original document would ideally be left open and unchanged so that I can continue working on it or use the Undo function as needed.
Is there a way to Save a Copy with script?

How to batch create SSO accounts from Windows or a PL/SQL script

We have just converted our 6i Forms and Reports to 10g (10.1.2.0.2), and run them against a 9i database. In order to be able to securely run reports we set up and configured SSO for a few accounts via the Oracle Identity Management Provisioning Console. We do not have PORTAL – nor do we want it. However, now we need to create about 500 SSO accounts at once. We would prefer to be able to create these accounts in a batch method – eg run something from Windows command line or run a PL/SQL script. We have the DBMS_LDAP package successfully installed in that 9i database. Currently our list of 500 users is simply in a table in the 9i db.
Spent several hours looking through both this site and Metalink, but so far no luck – especially because we don’t have or want PORTAL. If anyone can help, would appreciate it very much.
