How do i create an ipod/iphone version of my videos in the new itunes?
In the new version of iTunes, there is no "advanced" drop-down menu, where i can click "create ipod/iphone version" to convert the selected video into a format compatibe with my 4th gen. ipod touch. The videos are already in a mp4 format, but won't sync > itunes just says they're not compatible my ipod. I have also noticed that all the videos added to my library after the update, are being copied to "Home Videos" and the usual file location.
Select the video. Then:
File menu -> Create New Version -> Create iPod or iPhone Version

HELPiTunes as you see it in the application window uses a series of files and folders contained in the iTunes folder. Some people make the mistake of only backing up their media in which case all you have is a bunch of media files without the iTunes structure. In that case you have to build a new library yourself.
What exactly do you mean "not recognized"? The phone does not show up on the computer at all, or it does but it says it will wipe the phone? The wipe the phone stuff is again because it cannot find the original library to which it was synced. You need to transfer the entire iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup you made of it.

I loaded the new iTunes (11.0.0.163) on my computer and also just purchased a new iPhone 5. Prior to loading the NEW iTunes, I was able to sync with my new iPhone 5. After I loaded the new iTunes, I now get an error message: 0xE8000084. What's up?

My iPhone 4 isn't recognized by the new iTunes
My phone worked just fine with the old iTunes, until I updated. I absolutely hate the new iTunes. It's unorganized and hard to work with. Also, now whenever I plug my iPhone 4 into my computer it charges and is recognized by iPhoto, but won't show up in iTunes. I've already gone through the troubleshooting steps Apple supplied, none of which helped. I've also looked at other questions like this but most of them were for Windows, and I'm on a Mac. Any advice? And is there a way to uninstall the new iTunes and just go back to the original? It was so much nicer.

Ok so I found the solution, sadly i had to reformat my laptop to figure out the issue. Anyways, if you have a passcode (PIN) to unlock your iphone then make sure before you plug in your phone to the computer that you have already unlock your phone. Give that a try and see how you go.

I have just bought a new mac book, and I want to start from scratch by syncing the content of my iPhone, but each time I try it wants to delete everything on the iPhone and replace by what's on the new iTunes library, i.e. nothing! can I do the reverse, i.e. importing all my iphone's stuff on the new computer?
You need to copy some files and your iTunes folder to the new computer. Do you have a backup of your old computer (or still have the old computer?) Was the old computer a Mac or PC?

I got a ipod classic 7 th generation. I put songs on it ( and it shows on my mac that the songs are on the ipod (Songs from cd's) when I disconnect my ipod the songs are not showing on the ipod (but they on it) except one song that I purchased on itunes (this songs shows on the ipod) I got the new itunes and OS X Lion 10.8.5 on my Mac. I had to reset my computer because of a virus i had. When i re installed itunes my music was gone. I went to plug in my Iphone 5 and know my phone does not recognize the computer. I also have hit the trust button on my iphone but have to continue trusting the computer each time it gets plugged in. Still the phone wont connect to itunes at all to view what is on the phone. How do i fix this connection problem?

How do I transfer my ipod songs taken from CD's to a new iTunes library?
My laptop needed to be restored back to store purchase and m y iTune's library was erased. When I downloaded the iTunes and synced my ipod, it only added the purchased iTunes songs to my iTunes library. How do I sync the songs on my ipod that were transferred there from CD's?

How do I find total number of songs in my library in the new iTunes 11?
Last version of iTunes showed the total number of songs within the library on the bottom of the screen. Now that's disappeared and I don't know where to find that piece of info.

"Add Folder to Library" is still in the file menu, but you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the file menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot: -
How do I create a simple launcher VI that will end when the new VI is started?
I've just recently upgraded to Labview 7 and I'm writing a complex set of programs that are related, but do not need to be running simultaneously. I would like to write a simple launcher program that will load the appropriate VI and close itself after doing so. I understand how to call a subVI and have its front panel open upon execution, but I'd rather keep the VI's seperate.
