How do I create folders in my bookmarks?

I have a bunch of recipes in my bookmark menu. I want to consolidate them into one folder in the menu but can't find how to do set up a new, empty folder.

Click on "Bookmarks" at the top of Firefox screen.
Click on "Show all bookmarks"
Treat the display in the same way as you use any folder display ie right click on any folder to get a menu where you can create a new folder.

First off, how is your email configured in Mail? It sounds like POP (if you just have one folder) versus IMAP. Is that correct? Are you familiar with how to determine that information? Secondly, who is your email provider? Do you know if they offer IMAP access?
POP will download only the content of your Inbox to your Mail application, you'd then be required to create local folders and manage your email (organize it). IMAP, if you like to work with folders would be the preferred solution here. This way the folders that you see on the web will "sync" with the folders in your Mail application.
Not all free email providers offer IMAP, GMail is the only one to my knowledge, at least of the popular ones. Most ISP emails or work/corporate email providers offer IMAP but you'd need to get the appropriate server settings.

I can't think of anything more idiotic than invoking the memory of Jobs here. Are you truly unaware that the iPad and iOS is pretty much exactly the way he wanted it to be, just like about everything else Apple?
As to your claim of "previous email applications", certainly none in iOS ever did that, and the only folders you can create and manipulate in POP accounts are those local to only that single machine or platform, not particularly helpful or desirable in today's environments.

Bummer - seems like wasted effort - to move all the photo's to a computer, delete then from the IPOD/IPHONE, organize them, and then move back to IPOD/IPHONE. Oh well, is what it is.

Tap and hold down on an app con until it begins to "wiggle", then drag one app icon on top of another app icon to create the folder. Move as many apps as you like into that folder. When you are done, tap the home button and the apps will stop wiggling.
You can also name the folder whatever you want to in the white text field that will pop up when the folder is created.

At the Mail.app menu bar, go to Mailbox and select New Mailbox.

You can create as many mailboxes as you like to file or organize messages you want to keep.
You can create a mailbox that's stored on your computer, one that's stored within a specific account, or a mailbox in an existing mailbox. A mailbox inside another mailbox is called a "subfolder."

Firefox can export your bookmarks as a web page when you exit the browser, and you can set a specific location for that, so in theory you could have a shortcut to a reasonably up-to-date version of the file. Folder organisation is done in Finder, not from within Pages, although you can create a new folder from within the Save dialog box in most programs.
