How do I create links between two pdfs using FrameMaker 9, while both files remain open?

In FrameMaker 9 is there a way to create cross reference to a particular page on another doc (without closing the current/source doc)?
I tried using "openpage filename:pagenumber" option, the link takes me to page 1 of the referenced doc not to the specified page, and as it is a hyper link when page 1 of the referenced doc gets displayed the souce doc closes.
When a link is clicked in the source doc, it is required that the source doc remians open.
This is an urgent requirement, can anyone please reply soon?

How to get the 'link' between two tables

i need to find out HOW two tables are related.
sample tables:
SHIPS ( HULL_ID [PK] , VESSEL_NAME, GROSS_TONNAGE )
EQUIPMENT ( E_ID [PK] , HULL_ID [FK frm SHIPS], DESC )
PARTS ( PART_ID [PK] , E_ID [PK, FK frm EQUIPMENT], MANUFACTURER_ID)
--> SHIPS and PARTS are some how related thro' EQUIPMENT.
i need to get this relationship:
Ships --> Equipment (E_ID) --> PARTS
currently, i can get the direct parent and child tables of a given table using:

this wud be very expensive. my appln is in Java and i will need to call these functions - that makes it more complex. is there any simpler way out?
and my main problem is to find out WHAT attributes line two tables. this wudnt be a big deal if it were just simple parent-child tables. but, how do i find out the attributes that link PARTS and SHIPS table?
any ideas? -please help.

This tables can be used once we come to know whether its a customer or vendor line item but in our case we using the GL account as reference have to knock off the entries.How we come to know that aginst the GL whether its a customer or vendor line item.. Then it should route to this table.
Suggest me if any options are there.

My mom and I want to share my itunes. I have an Ipod shuffle and she have an Ipod nano. My mom just got her first Ipod. I'v had mine years before her. So I already have my itunes account and everything. I know how to share the music and create playlist and libraries. The only problem I have is that the itunes and computer don't recognise my mom's ipod. If they don't recognise my mom's ipod she can't download music. So how do I get the itunes and computer to recoginses my mom's ipod and my ipod on the same account?

You can may be do the easy way out then,
1) Open the Sales Order for which you have created the Procurement Document.
2) Go to the 'Form Settings' of the Sales Order and 'Table Format'.
3) In the list, select the Procurement Doc field and make it visible.
You will be able to see the Procurement Document for the Sales Order raised without using the query.
Check if this is what you are looking for and the same helps.

View Link between two query views

Hi is it possible to create a view link between two views having the where clause bind variables.
How you set the bind variables at the run time for the View objects. It is giving hard time for me to use the Master view in the XmlData bean to generate the Xml document.
I am able to set the Master views bind variables, but for view link destination view
where clause bind variables are not able to set ( link object link condition bind variables are binded run time but the views where chause bind variables of destination view are unable to setand bind)

Linking between two workspaces

Good afternoon all,
I was wondering if there was anyway for me to link between two workspaces on the same schema.
What I currently have set up is two workspaces (1 and 2). I have done a lot of work on 1 and built a Single Sign On application to manage my applications. Workspace 2 was created for a separate team, but I would like some sort of authentication. I was wondering if there was anyway for me to leverage my existing app in Workspace 1 to authenticate for applications in Workspace 2.
My guess is that it's not possible, but I figured I might as well ask around to see if there is some weird hack around it.

Link Between two worksheets in Discoverer

I'm trying to create a link between two worksheets without success.
What I have is a 'General Ledger' worksheet which lists the journal source for a particular account code that is selected by the user via a parameter. Say the journal source is Accounts Payable invoices, what I want to do is have another worksheet which is 'Accounts Payable' and on that worksheet I want to be able to list all the invoices that make up the journal total on the 'General Ledger' worksheet.
I have tried to create a link using a sub query condition but when I run the report, the first part 'General Ledger' works fine but when I click on the 'Accounts Payable', I get a "Invalid Number" error message.
I am going to need to create these type of links for various reports.
I would be very grateful if anyone can please advise on how to create the link.

I think you're on the right track with the subquery. So, the wrong number error must be related to the format of the columsn you use for the subquery.
Alternatively, if the account number you've created the parameter for in sheet 1, you can use the same parameter again for sheet 2 (then check "only one value for all sheets" for that parameter). But this obviously only works if that account number is in the second sheet too...

I have created database link between two database schema (From DBSchema2 i have created database link for DBSchema1). From DBSchema2, i have quried one table (This table is present in DBSchema1). But it throws an error says that Table or View does not exist. Anyone pls tell the detailed way to create database link between schema??

I said achieve not archive. Anyways so you are trying to archive the data. Can you just detail your requirement ? What exactly do you want ?
Only few tables will be moved to Archive Schema and other foriegn key tables will have a reference to the Live Schema. So how i can create the link between the Archive Schme to Live schema?
There is no question of creating database links between 2 schems. It is pure stupidity. If you want to access any object from another schema grant proper privileges and create a synonym for the object. Database links are not meant for this purpose.

Change or delete the docflow link between two existing documents

Hi All,
Is there any FM or soulution to change the doc flow link between two documents .
For ex .. i have document A and document B , and created a doc flow link from A to B , Now i have to change the succeeding document to C
I have tried to modify the doc link ,but its not working using crm_order_maintain.I thought of deleting the link between A and B and then create a new link Between A and C , but deletion of link bewteen A and B is also not working.
I have checked with FMs CRM_DOC_FLOW_DELETE_CHECK_EC and CRM_DOC_FLOW_DELETE_EC, followed by CRM_ORDER_SAVE AND COMMIT . i could not find any exception from this FMs , but still the doc link is not deleted.
Pls share if you have any suggestions.
