How do I create password presets in Acrobat X?

I did it in 9 but with the drastic changes made in X, I am still having a hard time finding everything. In 9, I created a preset that would automatically put a password and watermark onto my PDF. How do I do this in X?

The menu item still exist, but is not displayed, but the items on the menu should still be available to JS. You can use the 'exeMenuItem' to run the item to run the hidden item.
You will see the missing executable menu items if you use JS to crate a list of menu items. This will show the menu items that have not been moved to the Tool Well.

On a 32-bit system, there is a workaround. I do not think it is possible to get AA7 to work on a 64-bit system (no one has reported success and only 1 has suggested success with AA8). You may be able to print to a PS file and then open that in Distiller. I suspect that is the only way and you will have to find a decent PS printer driver to do it. I suspect the printer driver (and associated AcroTray) will not work in a 64-bit Win8 -- Acrobat and Distiller may.

How do I Create Dialogs in the Acrobat SDK?

I need to pop up a registration dialog the first time a user launches Acrobat after my Plug-In is installed. The user will need to enter some user information that I will store in a prefernces file. I do not have much experience with the SDK or VC++, so detailed answers would help me the most.
It looks like the Adobe Dialog Manager (ADM) may be the answer, but I can not find a download for the SDK.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at the wxPlugin example and got it working, but I don't seam to be able to port the code to my plugin. I get a lot of link error that I am trying to work through.

Hi,
I don't know if Reader supports the onversion but you can easily check that : open an Excel file with Reader and check the result.
With Acrobat Pro when you open a document using Acrobat then it's automatically converted. If this functionality is supported with Reader you will have the same behavior.
Once it's supported you just have to open your document using Acrobat.exe (or Reader.Exe)
My mistake I understood the opposite. To check that Acrobat Reader support the conversion you just have to check in the Reader interface.

hey iv aways wanted to know how you can create passwords for documents made in a word processing aplication such as microsft word or pages
so that you need a password to veiw the document
i don't know whether its possible or not but would apreciate some guidence

As has already been noted, your account has a password. If this isn't secure enough for you, you can look for applications that permit document passwording. Mac Office permits document level passwords. So does FileMaker Pro. Or, you could create a passworded disk image and save your private documents there - that's what I do.

Welcome to the community.
Unfortunately, you cannot do that. The first hurdle that you are going to face, is that mobile devices, by virtue of being prone to loss, will always require that a password is entered before a purchase of any kind is made.
If your concern about the password, is related to your privacy in regard to your mail, contacts and calendar information rather than their acces to make purchases, then the best solution would be for you to use another Apple ID for iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.

Yes, I do have multiple devices and it appeared to me that every time I tried to sync or log onto iTunes, the password was incorrect. Consequently, I was and am constantly changing it. Wouldn't it be nice if Apple would simply say that you only need one Apple ID and one password regardless of the number of Apple devices you intend to sync via iTunes.
Barring the above, how about a way to merge all of the Apple IDs and passwords into one.

There are two type of PDF forms: AcroForms that can be created with Acrobat, and XFA forms (static and dynamic) that can be created with LiveCycle Designer. Since the kind you want (dynamic XFA) cannot be created with Acrobat, you'll have to use LiveCycle Designer. Said another way, AcroForms do not support fields that automatically expand based on content. If you are referring the Master Password that can be set in System Preferences>Security>FileVault, then see this thread:
