How do I crop a Preview document using Mountain Lion
Bring up the Edit toolbar and choose the crop tool. Choose the area to crop. Then comd-k or "Crop" from the "Tools" menu.
EDIT: As baltwo says if it's a document crop won't work.

Click your Apple menu icon top left corner of your screen.
From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
If Mountain Lion is installed, it will say: v10.8
If not, launch the App Store. From the App Store menu bar click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads
FYI .. for downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store, a high speed (broadband) internet connection is strongly recommended by Apple as noted here > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you need to reinstall OS X or repair the the startup disk Mountain Lion Recovery, that requires broadband access to the internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the internet form Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation. -

How to open link in new window using Mountain Lion
When I upgraded to Mountain Lion, opening a link closes the window I'm in when it opens the new one. Example, I'm in email, click on a link, and then have to reopen email. The back button doesn't work. Where is the setting to change this so my current window remains open? I use Safari.
The option to open in a new tab or new window is in Safari > Preferences > Tabs > Open pages in tabs instead of windows: Never, Automatically, or always.

my notifications doesnt update after i upgraded my iOS to Mountain Lion. Can someone help me on how to synchronize or update my notifications?My guess is it is working and you just don't have anything to be notified about.
To convince yourself, try adding an appointment to your calendar for later today or early tomorrow (within 24 hours). You should see it in your notifications.
Do not try sending yourself an email, as those are detected as not worthy of a notification. -

When i open a PDF document Acrobat Viewer will not give me the same FAX options as when i open a regular document.
What is a "fax dialog"?
This dialog, or something closely resembling it, is what you should see:
Clicking Print sends the fax.
It is possible Acrobat is interfering with something, in which case you should get rid of it, unless you know of a reason to require it. -
How to rename user on Macbook pro using Mountain Lion
I renamed the name in "Users and Groups" under system preferences to my name (Bryan) , but somehow the user is still named after the previous owner (David). It won't let me rename it even after I type in the administrator password and click the unlock thing on the bottom left. See pictures.
"David" is still the user name, and it won't let me rename it. Where it says "David" I thought it should say Bryan?!Basically, somehow when I login to "Bryan" it takes me to "David". It's REALLY annoying me. If I could rename "David" to Bryan, and move all my stuff in there I would be happy, but I can't rename it. "David" has all my programs for some reason, and "Bryan" has all my files.
As you can see, I'm logged into Bryan. However, I'm actually with all of "David"'s files. "David doesn't whos up in users and groups as you can see. -

The installer for Logic Pro 8 has a bug which keeps it from operating in Lion or Mt. Lion. Use the program Pacifist to install it.

If you scroll the list to the bottom, there might be a count. I haven't figured out why you sometimes get a count and other times you don't.

If you're asking about compatibility, that would be something you would need to ask of the app developers, though most apps compatible with Mountain Lion should be compatible with Mavericks. You can also consult the tables here:

Can't re-install using original discs
