How do I customise the interface?

Hi
I'm curious to know IF there is a possibility to change the colour of the 'boxes' that you have on Photoshop CS6?
For example, when you click 'NEW' and the box opens to select paper size, or, for example the FONT CHOICE scroll...all these type boxes are very pale grey on my photoshop cs6 with tiny, slightly darker font. I have managed to change the interface itself to dark grey, which has been wonderful for my eyesight, but the boxes remain light.
I have vision issues, which have me seeing better when its light text on dark background, and I'm finding this hard on my eyes. Thankyou heaps if anyone can help, please?
Ali

Hi
You are limited in setting up the Interface for the Applications, You can not specify in to depth
the Colors that are used in the Interface, however you can adept the Workspace to your liking.
Here are some overviews on how to set up the Workspace for your preferation.

    Hi,
I have accomplished through the creation of a Menu in oracle Forms. After setting up your menu options, go to the "Visible In Horizontal Menu Toobar" property and set to YES. Then change the "Icon Filename" property to whatever your icon file is.
    Good luck!

  • When I call an external program from Labview, how can I embed the interface into the front panel?

I'm running Labiew 6i for Linux. I'm using a system exec.vi to call an external program to do image manipulation (since there is no IMAQ for linux). How can I embed the user interface of the external program into the front panel of Labview?

As far as I know, the only way to embed other GUIs in LabView is an ActiveX in a container.
As long as you are using Linux, try to place (moving them on the desktop ) the two windows linked (like those 3 of WinAmp).

  • How can I change the INTERFACE SIZE in PHOTOSHOP CS6?

Hi! I was just wondering how can I decrease the sizes of the interface in Photoshop? (e.g. the tool bar). My screen resolution is 1366 x 768, and most of the tools in Photoshop is occupying a bigger space in my screen. I feel that I can paint better if they are smaller. Do you have any idea how can I decrease the size of this interface?

I would collapse and expand the toolbar windows by using the double arrow icon?
Doing this will almost give you your full screen?
Or you can hit 'Tab' and it hides your tools when you don't need them?

  • How do you customize the interface?

My question: how can I adjust the user interface to bring back just a little of the 3-d effect? Are there files that can be copied back from Mavericks, for instance?
I'm having difficulty using the Yosemite interface just like I do with Windows: there isn't enough information to tell me what's clickable. This "flat" trend takes away the visual affordances that I rely on. I am not the sort who memorizes "where to click" or what all the icon graphics are meant to mean, especially in software that I don't use often. I've almost completely given up using iPads because of interface flatness — it's just easier to go back to pencil-and-paper now that I often can't tell what's interactable and what's just decoration! Apple used to engineer all this so very well, and for me it's sad to see that they're now pursuing trendy looks ahead of functional design.
Note that this is not a question about taste. It's purely about user interface usability. But if you can answer this, it might help the people who have taste-based issues about Yosemite as well.
I won't have much choice about which version of OS X I use either. I'll keep Mavericks on my home computer, but my work computer has to be kept in sync with the institutional norms so Yosemite looks inevitable there.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am looking for the 3-d contouring that makes clickable things look clickable, as opposed to increasing the contrastiness of it all. I actually find it distractingly jumpy even with contrast low — though there is a chance that I may end up simply getting used to it with time.

  • How do I change the interface color for the dark version?

  • How do you customise the finder "save as" dialog box?

    Hi
I get a lot of email with attachments that I need to work on - word documents and powerpoint slides mainly.
I am still running Snow Leopard and I think Finder is very frustrating. Has it been improved in this aspect in Mountain Lion?
Firstly, if I look at the email and click the "save" box next to the attachment, it immediately puts the attachment in the download folder. I dont want that. I want to be given a dialog box giving me options where to save the file in my heirachy of folders that I have set up by client and project. Sending it to the download folder is a naff default, but I cannot find a way to change this default?
Secondly, if i scroll down to the bottom of the email to see the attached file, and then right click to "save as", I get a dialog that is devoid of all the customisation options I have chosen for the standard finder view. For examply, I cannot get the "path" to be displayed as part of the "save as" dialog box.
This is all pretty fundamental stuff, and Windows have been able to offer much better customisation and default setting in Windows Explorer for years. WHy is OSX so far behind in this aspect?
    Is Lion better?
Do I have to fork out an additional $35 for each of my 3 macs to buy "Default Folder" just to get something that should be basic workflow management within the OSX
    Am I missing something?

    Thanks Jeffry
Yes I am using the expanded save dialog.
Thanks for pointing out how to change the default save location away from the downloads folder.
What I really want, though, is for when I press the "save" button next to an attachment in the email, then I want to be given the choice of where to save it, and easy ways of navigating to my recent folders, favourite folders etc. Each file I save will need to go to a folder dependent upon which client it is, so just saving then all by default into "Documents" for example, means that after saving them, I then need to go and move them to the correct location.
How to I get to have a choice if where to save whenever I press the SAVE button

  • How to tell when the interface is down and was last active.

Is there a function within Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 (2.0.0.0.294) that will display the last time that an interface was active? Our end switch hardware is as follows C2960s-48fps and C3750-48PS-S.
See below for command and command output from the console of one of our switches.
    C2960s-48fps#show int gi1/0/6 | include Last | proto
GigabitEthernet1/0/6 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect)
Last input never, output 1w6d, output hang never
Above is an example of one interface but can this be accomplished for all interfaces on the said switch?
    Thanks
Message was edited by: Bobby Sasser The following is the response that Cisco TAC sent. Not happy with this answer! Unfortunately , Prime doesn’t collect those precise information. So apparently you won’t be able to poll that information from the device.

You have not posted to code for Stopper, so it's impossible to reason about that
    1. How can I tell when thread is finished?
    Use Thread.Join() or Thread.isAlive()
    2. How do I kill this thread once it is finished?
You can't and you don't. Just let the method the thread is running exit normally. Sometimes that means putting in a boolean variable to control a loop, and then exiting when the boolean is false.
Another thought - you could set the thread as a Daemon thread - when you don't have any non-daemon threads running, java will exit.

  • How can I see the interface in Japanese, French, German, Spanish, or Simplified Chinese?

In order to see pages in these languages, you can click the Region links at the top of page (where it lists a country name and says “Change”), choose your region and language from the pop-up menu. Click on "Remember this choice" under the menu.

    @ adobe-admin (J.C.?):
Thanks for fixing the "backslash" error. Accuracy is important, and doubly so when presented as an F.A.Q.
The sad thing is how prevalent the usage of "backslash" is when a plain old slash is meant (generally, the "forward" attribute is assumed and unneeded), and by people who should know better. It's a direct result of people knowing just barely enough about the Windows file path naming protocols, and then applying the only terminology they're familiar with incorrectly to URLs.
I went about 10 rounds—TWICE!—with a labyrinthian succession of people at the Discovery & History cable TV networks because they were saying "backslash" in voice overs whenever their commercials promoted their websites. It took some doing, but I finally got in touch with somebody who was savvy enough to recognize that it was a rookie mistake made by a clueless marketing copywriter. The voice over person just read the copy they were given, oblivious to the difference. It amazes me that it wasn't caught by somebody early in the recording/production process and rectified.
They then had it correct for about a year, until new commercials started popping up with the same error. Unfortunately, the person I had talked to previously no longer worked for the History channel and I had to go through the process of finding someone who understood all over again.
Yeah, you can call me a nitpicker with nothing better to do.
But I've earned that dang badge, and I wear it proudly!

  • How can I customise the fields shown in the main Thunderbird address book window?

When I click the odd-looking icon (a book with an arrow?) at the top of the vertical slider, I get a list of only 13 fields. I can display, hide and rearrange these fields. But I cannot see how to access any of the other fields in the address book, which I would prefer to see in the main window.
(I know the fields are there because, yes, I can see these fields for individual entries. Also they appear in an exported csv file.)

Quit Address Book then delete ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook-v22.abcddb - it will be rebuilt from data in the ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/Metadata folder.

  • How can I keep the interface/pasteboard for InDesign CC from resetting?

At work we just got Creative Cloud, and I don't like how the pasteboard in ID is automatically dark grey. I figured out where to uncheck "Match Pasteboard to Theme Color" which makes it go back to white, but when I shut down and restart ID, it goes right back to having that checked so it is grey again. Is there anyway to make my selection permanent? I dont understand why it checks itself back to that every time. It would be nice to not have to reset this every day.

I found this one from FvdGeest:
make a script with this line
    app.generalPreferences.uiBrightnessPreference=1.0;
    Colours vary from 0.0 tot 1.0, Dark UI = 0.0, light grey = 1.0.  0.33 = medium dark and 0.67 medium light.
For the pasteboard use this script:
    app.generalPreferences.pasteboardColorPreference=0;
    save it as a    .jsx
Make sure you put them in the

  • How can we change the language of a Workspace Interface?

    Hi team,
A German colleague of mine has told me he sees his workspace interface on beehiveonline.oracle.com in German.
I was wondering if this was to do with his browser or if he had to modify any profile settings somewhere (to English). I know we can change the preffered language and country here: https://stbeehive.oracle.com/bcentral/action?page=myaccount but it reads that this is only for "system-generated Voice Mail prompts" so not sure this has to do with Workspaces.
    Does anyone know?
    Many thanks
    Julien

    Julien,
The system normally picks up the settings from the browser and presents the page in the local language if found - we have 16 translations if I recall correctly. Default is English. This allows the user to get started without having to go into the bcentral pages and customise the interface - they may not understand the default language and therefore be stuck.
