How do I customize the toolbars to show in english?

My firefox toolbar is shown in spanish, what I have to do to change its view to english?

What do you mean with "Firefox toolbar" -- do you mean the entire UI of Firefox, including menus, or do you just mean the default list of bookmarks that came with Firefox? It sounds like you have installed the Spanish version of Firefox at some point, either in the past or recently.
If this is a fresh install, I would advice you to reinstall Firefox and be sure to pick the English version from www.mozilla.org/firefox. You will also need to create a new profile, since your bookmarks and other settings will be kept even if you reinstall, so they will otherwise remain in Spanish. See here for info about how to create a new profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles?s=profile&r=0&e=sph&as=s

  • How can I customize the toolbar to show undo button??

Is there a DW equivilent to the "standard toolbar" in CFB2, because I am looking for a way to put the most basic editing commands of Undo/Redo/Copy/Paste and do not see a way to add these to a visible toolbar.  All I see is I have to click the Edit menu, then select the command I want.  I will be really disappointed if I cannot include basic commands like this on a toolbar.  Please don't tell me about keyboard shortcuts, I know they are there but I like to have the visual buttons up on my toolbar, too.  Save All and Word Wrap would be another command I current have on a DW toolbar but can't see how to customize this in CFB2.  Am I missing something?

I have news for you, some good, some bad, and some where you can still help your cause.
First, I'll note that I raised this issue for you at RIAcon this weekend, when Hemant (Engineering Director for CF and CFB) spoke on CFB2. He agreed that adding more buttons for folks who prefer that could be helpful.
I have to admit, though, that I couldn't remember which key it was, and thought it was a bold. Someone pointed out that there was indeed a button bar for such HTML things (though behind a tab you have to notice and open). I think that may have then deflected Hemant's concern for this.
So I have added him here as a CC (don't know if he's a member of this forum. BTW, Hemant, if you're not, then any reply won't get to the group, but if you add me in manually ([email protected]), I'll forward your reply if I don't see it appear in the forum.)
And as I noted, DCwebGuy--why don't people use first names in these forums? -- you could and should at least raise this as a feature request. There may well be other who are with you. The bugbase does support voting, and you could reply to this note with your bug id to give it more pub.
Moving on (and not to be snarky but instead speaking sincerely) while you say you're a hard-core coder, I'd think there must be "designer-like" features of DW that you like (way beyond this one button click issue) enough to lead you to prefer to stay there and not leverage the many features in CFB that are NOT in DW. If that's not so, then perhaps you didn't see enough of what CFB could do for you.
I'll say this: some features (like some elements of the fantastic code assist) only work if you go the extra steps of enabling a server connection and things like that. If you don't do that, you won't see and appreciate these unique new features that DW does NOT have. Have you at least seen demos or read the guides to fully appreciate what you're forgoing? It's not "just another editor".
But again, DW certainly does some things that CFB does not (and may never), so it really different strokes for different folks.
Finally, if it really were just about keyboard shortcuts vs mouse clicks, I'll suggest that, at least with undo, ctrl-z is used in nearly every app out there, so it's not like it's a burden to learn and use it. That's a terrible way to end, as I'm sure it sounds snarky. Again, I don't mean it. I'm just saying what I'm sure some reading this would think, so if you're moved to respond feel free to do so for their sake--but please take a breath first if this got your blood pressure up. And please don't shoot the messenger.

  • How do you customize the toolbar in Windows XP?

How do you customize the toolbar in Windows XP? When I right click on the menu bar the "Customize..." option is there but it does absolutely nothing.
Which brings me to the rhetorical question as to why it was necessary to shuffle everything around, was it broken? Did it not work? Since 2006 I've moved my mouse pointer almost instinctively to the left side of the screen, now all of a sudden I have to go right, is there a point?
This is like supermarkets that as soon as you have figured out where everything is, they shuffle everything around and now you are stuck in mystery shopping. At least they have economic reasons. Meanwhile Firefox seems disposed to make itself look more like Chrome, but hey if I wanted Chrome I'd get it.

Nope... Thanks, but Safe Mode does not do the trick. Oh sure you can move the buttons around and rearrange things to your liking, unfortunately it does not stay that way once you get out of Safe Mode.
I guess if you use an XP machine you are doomed to use FF's interpretation of what it should look like, which is ass backwards from what it has been for the past FIVE YEARS!!! Why not? It seems XP users are now the Freddo's of computing.
Someone should go to you developer's homes move everything around, forks in the basement, beds in the bathroom, TV up in the attic with the mice, dining table outside on the porch, see how you like it.

  • How can I customize the toolbar when using the attribute browser

In CVI 2012, the toolbar changes depending on the environment, e.g. it is different for the source window and the UI editor. The toolbar can be customized using the menu Options / Toolbar...
Unfortunately, when using the attribute browser of the UI editor, another toolbar is displayed, i.e. not the UI editor toolbar.... I would have assumed that the attribute browser belongs to the UI editor, obviously it doesn't... So how can I customize the toolbar when using the attribute browser?
    Solved!

    Luis,
It's nice to have you back
Thank you for the clarification, so I'll elaborate a bit more: In the regular workspace toolbar, I have a disk symbol to save the file. This symbol is gone in the attribute browser...
So I have three different toolbars, for source code (workspace), UI editor, and the UI editor displayed but the attribute browser clicked on (selected)...
    Thanks

  • How do I customize the toolbar in my address book in Leopard? Is it gone?

My old Ibook with tiger crashed and I upgraded to a macbook pro with leopard. It appears that I can't customize the toolbar on the address book? I used to have actions (send email, configure, etc) on the address book in my old tiger system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Skip

    Hi Skip
Yes, Apple removed the "Actions" icon from Address Book in Leopard. You have to use the "Send email" option that appears when you click on "Work" or "Home" next to the email address on a contact page. Similarly "iChat". I'm not sure about "Configure", but you can use the Edit button at the botttom of the window to change a contact's details.

  • How do I customize the toolbar if I've removed the "view" tab from the toolbar?

I was trying to customize my toolbar while working in excel and accidentally removed all of the tabs along the top toolbar (File, Edit, View, etc).  I can't figure out how to put them back as all of the help threads begin with "go to the View tab".

    Hi, ryanfromtorrance.
I think I'm understanding what you did.
You will need to start in the Excel menu bar at the very top of your screen.  The one with the  in the far left corner.  Find the View menu there. It should be three over from the  icon.
Click View > Customize Toolbars and Menus...
When the Customize Toolbars and Menus window opens, click the Toolbars and Menus tab, then make sure the checkbox next to Standard is checked.
That should return the display of your toolbar when you close that customize window.
    I hope this is helpful.

  • How do I customize the toolbars to put the Navigation and Menu toolbars on the SAME line? I want to maximize browser window space on my laptop.

I want to keep my browser tools very minimalistic so as to maximize the browser window space on my small laptop screen. I only need the navigation and menu toolbars, plus a Google search window. I'd like to put them all on the same line on the toolbar. Right now the navigation toolbar defaults to sit below the menu bar.
Is there any way to combine them on one line? Thanks.

  • Previous page had this: Common Questions What happened to the Status Bar? t you start with telling us What is the Add-on Bar? How do I use bookmarks? What are App Tabs? How do I customize the toolbars?

Don't assume people automatically know all your technical terms! Before you talk about, e.g., "status bar", it would be really helpful to show or tell us WHERE IT IS.
Since you made basic things like "history" and "bookmarks" harder to find, I'm back to using "CTRL H" for history -- is there a keystroke method to get to the bookmarks?

How do I customize the CNN and Wall street journal apps on my iPhone 6 to only show news about business and technology, and not shootings or murders?

First, we are not Apple, we are other users like you trying assist with hardware problems.  We cannot help with warranty issues.
Unfortunately, Apple cannot and will not help you unless your iPhone is returned to the US (in person, not by international mail).  The warranty is not international.  This topic has been discussed on this forum since before the 5s was released.  Please tell all of your friends not to buy an iPhone in another country unless they are willing to forego warranty and service from Apple.

  • When I try to customize the toolbar in Safari, it does it temporarily, but if I quit Safari and reopen it, it goes right back to the old toolbar.  Any ideas?

When I customize the toolbar in Safari, it only shows the changes temporarily.  If I quit Safari and reopen it, the toolbar reverts back to how it was before.  Any ideas?

Check System Preferences. Look at the bottom of the pane. Do you see Evernote?
I just installed it so I could find it.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. Now open the lIbrary folder then the Internet Plug-Ins folder.
Move the Evernote.plugin to the Trash. Restart your Mac. Try Safari.

  • How Do I Customize the Key Combination to Cycle Through Windows in Reverse in all Applications?

How do I customize the key combination to cycle through windows in reverse in all applications?  I want to be able to change the global setting for Command+~ (Cmd+Shft+`) to something more desireable.  I could NOT find a way to do this in Systems Preference -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts since there is not a menu selection "Cycle Through Windows in Reverse".  I then went and looked in the plists DBs of Finders resources hoping to find a setting I could override.  I was quite supprised, as well as some of the MAC gurus in the office, that there was not an easier way to override cycling through windows in reverse on a MacBook - the most user friendly and accessibility aware computer on the market:)
Here is my MAC software info.
    System Version:  Mac OS X 10.6.7 (10J869)
    Kernel Version:  Darwin 10.7.0

I don't know of any way to have a separate commandkey combo for the reverse cycle function.
From the Help pages for OS X 10.6.7 ("Using global keyboard shortcuts") -
NOTE: You can create keyboard shortcuts only for exisiting menu commands.
Since the 'reverse' cycle command is not an existing menu item, creating a separate key combo for it doesn't seem possible. Apparently the 'reverse' cycle command is a fixed one, internally defined as a mod of the normal cycle command invoked by adding Shift to its key combo.
There may be a way to achieve what you want via a two-step process: write an AppleScript that will invoke the 'reverse' key-combo set, then link the activation of the AppleScript to a key combo of your choosing. Not sure if this is even possible, though - usually AppleScript activation via keyboard would be set up via an FKey.
I can understand wanting to share the RSI risk evenly between both hands, or even to unload the left hand if that is desirable. However, apparently a two-key combo can't be done for the reverse cycle function. Is a three-key combo not possible? ...meaning a two-key combo on the right (Command plus something) for normal cycling, adding Shift for reversing?
One caution about changing keyboard command combos - it's very easy to accidentally set up a conflict with a another existing commandkey set. FWIW, most, if not all, of the mnemonic and easily-reached letters are already used. In this vein, the Keyboard Shortcuts page of the Keyboard prefs pane shows such conflicts via a yellow caution triangle next to the conflictors.

  • Is there a way to customize the toolbar/ruler in TextEdit? i.e. add buttons

I've become so annoyed by various aspects and quirks of MicrosoftWord that I'm trying to wean myself off it and migrate over to TextEdit as a simpler, faster and more stable day-to-day default word processing program.
In TextEdit's "Rich Text" mode, with the ruler/toolbar showing, there are only a few standard drop-down menus and buttons: Styles, Paragraph-align, Spacing and Lists. Is there a way to add new buttons or drop-down menus to this default selection? One of the few nice things about MSWord is that one could customize the toolbar. I'd expecially like to add simpler font-formatting buttons like "Strikethru" and font-sizes to TextEdit. I realize these things can be accessed via the "Fonts" floating window (command-T), but that's a whole extra keystroke and having to reach across the screen.
I presume there isn't a way to add these custom formatting buttons, but I just wanted to make sure.

You might like to try Bean, as a neat and simple WP - I'm a fan.

  • When ever I customize the toolbar the open new tab sign that is the + sign near the lastly opened tab in the tab bar disappears and it remains so even after restarting Firefox.

When ever I customize the toolbar, the open new tab sign that is the + sign near the lastly opened tab in the tab bar disappears and it remains so even after restarting Firefox. This happens only after updating to the new version 4.0.1 it never happened in the older versions 3.x.xx- checked it thrice. Thought it could be a bug and i didn't know where to report also don't have time and patience to search for the appropriate page so i'm reporting here for improving my favorite browser.

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar.<br />
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions.<br />
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible to the left of it.<br />
