How do I cut and paste a picture from the Internet to PowerPoint on a Mac?

HHow do I cut and paste a picture from the Internet to PowerPoint on a Mac?

Kind of depends on where the picture is. Usually you can just select it and if you can move it you can drop it onto the desktop.
You should always check usage rights when you use a picture off the Internet. If it's for a school project or personal then there should be no problem.
Pictures that require a royalty fee are usually marked.

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • How do you copy and paste a photo from the internet without a mouse?

Does anyone know how to copy and paste a photo from the internet without a mouse?  I would appreciate a response asap.  Thanks.

    Pointing, clicking, and getting around
When you move your mouse or finger on a trackpad, you control a pointer (also known as a cursor) that moves across your screen. The pointer allows you to select and interact with the various items on your screen, including selecting files, clicking buttons, dragging sliders, and so on. Sometimes the pointer may look like a hand, a crosshair, an I-beam, or another icon, depending on what you're doing and the application you're using.
For example, if you're using Safari to view this webpage and move the pointer across it, notice that it turns into an I-beam when you move it over text or a text field. When you see this, you can usually interact with the text or field below it. When you move the pointer over a button or link, the pointer turns into a hand, letting you know that you can click on the item.
Depending on what you're doing and what application you're using, your pointer (far left) may change appearances
Clicking your mouse button or trackpad button once allows you to select the item that your pointer is on. In other words, if your pointer is on a file's icon, clicking once will select it. If the pointer is on a button or link, clicking once will activate it. If your pointer is on a text field, clicking once highlights the field and allows you to start typing text in it.
If you want to open a file, folder, or application, click your mouse button or trackpad twice. This is known as double-clicking. In general, you'll need to double-click items if you want to open them from a Finder window or the desktop. The exception to this is opening stuff from the Dock—just click once on an icon in the Dock to open it.

  • How do I copy and paste an image form the internet to Keynote. I have done this successfully in the past by selecting copy and then paste by using the right click function and now am unable to do so. I am thinking it is an outdate OS problem...not sure.

How do I copy and paste an image from the internet to Keynote. I have done so successfully in the paste by using the copy and paste right click functions but am unable to do so now. That was about a year ago that I attempted that I was able to do this. Thank you for your help.

    Some images are copy-protected.
If all else fails, you can make a screen shot of the image:
With the image visible in your browser, press CMD-Shift-4 and your cursor will change to crosshairs.
Position the cross hairs at one of the corners of what you want to copy and drag to the opposite corner, then release the mouse. An copy of the image will be saved to your desktop.
You can now edit and use this image.
    Be sure to respect copyrights.

  • How to cut and paste a picture into a shape in Illustrator CS4

In illustrator CS4 I am trying to cut and paste a picture into a shape. In freehand the shortcut was so easy. I know there is one in Illustrator but cant remember what it is, can anyone tell me?

    K8,
What Steve said, with the addition that you may get rid of the outlying parts, by:
    1) With the mask selected, in the Transparency palette dropdown select anything but Normal,
    2) Object>Flatten Transparency, no need to change options,
unless you have withheld information and really want to distort the picture to fit the shape, in which case you should select both shape and picture and Object>Envelope Distort>Make with Top Object.
The procedure 1) - 2) is destructive in case of vector artwork but makes no difference with raster images, and it makes it easier to avoid accidental/unwanted selection outside the  Clipping Mask.

How do I cut and past on my MACBOOK PRO?

You can use the hotkeys, as Steve said. It sort of sounds as if you can't right click though.
If you're using the touchpad, go into system preferences>trackpad, enable "secondary click, tap with 2 fingers". Then, when you click/tap the touchpad with 2 fingers instead of one, it'll right click, giving you the option to copy/paste whatever you highlighted.

How do I cut and paste files from Mac to External Hard disk? I was copying them and later moving the files from Mac to trash and then emptying the trash. This is so lengthy and time wasting process that Apple

Press and hold command as you're dragging and dropping: that will move the file, in stead of copying it.
Two other things that might be handy:
    * option-drag will force a copy, even if the file is on the same volume
    * command-option-drag will make an alias to the file/folder.

If you're talking about cut and paste as you would do with files and folder on a Windows box you do it in a round about way.
Either Copy ⌘C, (Yes copy not cut), and then move, ⌘⌥V (a variation on paste ⌘V).
    If you're a mouser.
Right click the File and choose Copy from.....
The right click the folder you want to move it to but hold down the option key and Paste item.....
...will change to Move item here.

    Highlight the item.
    Finder>Edit>Copy
Place the item where you want to
    Finder>Edit>Paste
There is 3rd party software that makes cut & paste easier with just 1 or 2 steps.
Q2 how do I correct a spelling error when it has a red line under it?
You can find the correct spelling in the Apple dictionary.  Just add the correct spelling & delete the error.

  • With PS 7  create new  Place two objects on the new file  then you may cut copy and paste Cs2  create new  place two object on the new file Cut is not available how does one cut and paste in new file

    With PS 7

Place two objects on the new file

    Cs2

If your using File>Place then photoshop cs2 creates what's known as Smart Objects, which photoshop 7 didn't have.
In photoshop cs2 you can rasterize the smart objects and that should make the Cut function available.
Select both placed layers, right click on the area to the right of the tumbnail and select Rasterize Layers.
If in photoshop cs2 you to Help>Photoshop Help and look under Layers>Smart Objects, that should give you a good overview of what smart objects are.
