How do I cycle a number of bars?

Hi,
When editing a midi track, I would like to cycle a few bars when I work with the editing. This could be for example bar 12 to 14. I don't want to cycle the whole region or section.
I could not figure out this one. Help anyone?
/Tony

You can sync your calendars with Google Calendar - you will need a Google login but it's free: Google will not sync ToDos. There is information in their Help on how to do this.
Otherwise you might do better to wait a couple of months for iCloud to roll out - this will provide syncing of iCal Calendars and you may find it preferable to Google.
Incidentally syncing over the internet is never going to be literally instantaneous, but the delay is usually fairly slight.

  • How do I limit the number of rows retrieved at a time using RefCursor?

I have a PL/SQL package in use, that returns a REF CURSOR. This is currently being used in a Forms 6i application. Now I want to develop an ASP.NET web application that displays exactly the same information as my Forms 6i module. In fact those two applications will be used concurrently for a while.
I looked at the sample code provided on otn.oracle.com and decided to use the OracleDataAdapter.Fill()-method to fill a dataset and bind that dataset to a pageable GridView. Now I wonder, whether this method retrieves ALL records of the query at once and how I can limit the number of rows fetched? The Select statement retrieves up to 10000 rows at a time. Most of the time, a user is only interested in the first 20-30 rows. Forms 6i fetches more rows as the user scrolls down, how can I implement the same behavior in ODP.NET?
    - Markus

Excuse me, but the reply does not quite answer my question. Maybe I did not explain my concerns clear enough:
I understand the use of the two properties (RowSize and FetchSize) to reduce the amount of round trips needed to transfer the data - not the number of rows fetched in total. This would still lead to a situation where all rows are transferred, when I am using the OracleDataAdapter.Fill()-Method. Is this correct or did I misunderstand the function of this method?
I quote the otherwise really helpful article you send me:
Of course, there is a cost if the fetch size is arbitrarily large. More client-side memory and processor cycles will be needed to store and manage a larger amount of data. The goal is to find a high-performing balance between the number of round trips and the amount of data retrieved per trip.
My RowSize is for sure a bit larger than the one in the given example. The query will probably be used by up to 100 users at a time, so I would like to limit the resource-costs not only on the network by the number of round trips, but also on the web-server which is storing all these records in it's memory per user-request.

8330 Call Forwarding...How do I set the number of rings before calls are forwarded? Right now it instantly forwards my calls but I don't want that. I want to change it so that let's say that if after 5 rings I don't answer the call is forwarded. I've looked everywhere for an answer but have had no luck. Any help would be appreciated. I am with Virgin Mobile if this makes a difference.

Well, call forwarding is a feature provided by your carrier -- it is not a function of the device. However it works for your carrier is how it works. Actually, from what I understand about call forwarding, it normally is an all-or-nothing circumstance...calls forward to the number you've asked them to be forwarded to, keeping you in a DND status. Regardless, though, if your carrier tells you how it works on their system, there's nothing that the device can do to override that. Unless there is some kind of 3rd party app that would do it, bypassing (somehow) the carrier network CF feature...but I've never heard of such a thing.

  • Dynamically creating number of bars in a histogram

    Post Author: oradba101
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    Greetings,
A user would like to be able to selct thw number of bars to display in a histogram chart,  The y-axis consistd of incremntal numbers that can vary based upon the criteria a user selects.
I was thinking along these lines:
    1.  Create a paramete in which the user can select a number from 3 -13 (number of bars they want to see)
    2.  Pass the parameter to a running total object and have it do -  (max(y-axis) - min(yaxis)) / parameter.
I hope I explained this well enough and yhanks in advance for your help

I suppose the first question would be; how would you do this manually in the CR designer? The try to mimic the same steps at runtime. You do not mention version of CR (I suspect it is the .NET 2005 bundle?). Your description implies that you essentially want to build the table at runtime. E.g.; report creation APIs which are not available in the .NET 2005 bundle. Stand-alone versions of CR include RAS APIs and you can use those to build the report or parts of the report such as a table at runtime.

  • How often do you use the List bar to Navigate

    Hi Ppl,
I'm trying to build a custom sequence editor. In the Sequence Editor while the executions are run the sequence file view tab is open. So most of the time I use the tab's to navigate between sequence view and execution view. However in the full featured UI the sequence view is not visible while executing. So we have to navigate using the list bar.
I wanted to know will it be better to implement the way sequence editor displays the sequence view while executing. I can use a combo box to navigate to various sequence files and executions within the respective views. How often you guys use the list bar to navigate ?
    Thanks

Of course I have no idea what "isn't so great" means. Relative to what?
Is it worse than the current user search?
Is it better that the current user search but not as improved as the new forum search?
    Is it just different?
Are the user search results better, but the interface is harder to use?
One thing could be improved. There should be a way to sort partial matches by the number of posts so inactive members don't  clutter the first dozen pages of the search result. For example, if I search for "Dennis", I want him on top of that huge list. (many, many pages!)
If I search for "Dennis K" I still want partial matches, but currently there is no result if I do that. (Why does "Dennis" return many matches while "Dennis K" returns nothing (!!?), and "Dennis Knutson" again works????)
To answer your questions as best I can, the new user search is just different. The way that it presents information is different (you can check out Lithium's community to see what I mean). When I do a search, the user I expect to show up first does not necessarily show up first - in that way, it's about the same as your Dennis example. I think the current search works better for me because as an Admin I get the ability to search more fields.
On the plus side, you get the option to sort the user results by Login name (alphabetically), rank, posts, or registration date, all which could help you with finding Dennis.
So to summarize, I think the actual results will be similar with some added sort functionality. The user interface is very different, in more of a grid view as opposed to a list.   I don't know that I would classify it as better or worse.  That's a great wishy-washy answer, right?
    Thanks,

  • How to delete a delivery number/note

    Hi All
How to delete a delivery number/note
    Thanks for the help
    Rajendra Prasad

    Hello,
Start with checking the document flow. If the invoice has already been generated to that specific delivery you need to cancel the invoice before you delete the outbound delivery.
Step 1: T Code VF11 helps you to cancel billing document.
Step 2: Then use T Code VL09 and reverse the goods movement by entering the values in the fields. Once you reverse the documents then you can delete the outbound delivery in VL02N under menu bar Outbound Delivery u2013 Delete.
Step 3: If PGI has not done you can cancel the outbound delivery by editing the picking quantity to zero. If Warehouse Management installed then you can cancel all the transfer orders before you delete the outbound delivery.
If invoice has not created and PGI done then proceed with
    step 2.
If  PGI has not done and Picking completed then proceed with step 3.
    Regards,

  • Number of Bars Limit - Can it be turned off?

Having made the jump from Sonar, I am not used to the limiting of the number of bars in a project. I know how to increase it, but is there a way to have it off as a default.
Secondly, what purpose does limiting the number of bars serve? I don't get it.

If the length of the Project is defined (as per the Arrangmenet End Marker or the End Bar number in the Transport), the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the Arrangement begins to make sense and it's a lot easier to navigate. Also, you define the length of Freeze files by this. And the length that looped Regions run. I'm sure there's more, even.
Why is it a problem ?

  • Printer is asking for a proxy port, how do i find that number

my printer is asking for a proxy port number ,how do I find that number?

    Hey tomdenise,
If your network is not on a proxy, you do not need to enter a proxy. Here are the steps you need to go through to resolve this issue.
    1. Find your printer's IP address by printing a network configuration page.
    2. Type you IP address into the address bar of your web browser.
    3. Click on the network tab at the top of the page.
    4. Look at the left hand side and click IPv4 under wireless.
    5. Change the IP settings to Manual.
    6. Enter the printer's IP address, your subnet mask, and your routers IP address or default gateway in the spaces.
    7. Set the Prefered DNS to 8.8.8.8.
    8. Set the Alternate DNS to 8.8.4.4.
    9. Click apply.(You may need to refresh the page if it says processing for longer than a min and click apply again.)
    10. Now try to enable Web Services.
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
If I have resolved your issue, feel free to provide Kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided.

  • How can I find unknown number between specific numbers?

How can I find unknown number between specific numbers? For example I want to find the start with value from following question... How can I do that? If you run this oracle query SELECT DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('SEQUENCE','SEQUENCE_NAME') FROM DUAL to find out my sequence DDL you will see the similar given values that assigned to sequence DDL, and if I can find the result here I will apply same technique to my  C# code to find start with value of sequence in oracle. Thanks –
    Given Values
    Min number=20
    Max Number=500
    increment number=10
start with=?  needs to be find.
how many times it increments= 5
where the cycle stopped now= 205
    Conditions;
    1. Start with number has to be either 20 or 500 or between 20-500...
    2. It always increment 5 times. For example, If the start with number is 75 than numbers goes like First cycle=(75,85,95,105,115) Second cycle=(125,135,145,155,165)...Third cycle (175,185,195,205) and it stops on 205.
Question is If start with number not known. is there any way to find it?

Your question has already been answered in your other thread. As I said in your other thread:
The START WITH value part of the DDL for a sequence is NOT stored in the data dictionary. See the SYS.SEQ$ table for the attributes stored in the dictionary.
What part of that are you having trouble understanding?
There IS NO START WITH to find - it does NOT exist!

  • How do I lengthen the number of measures I can record on the GarageBand app for iPad?

I have the GarageBand app for my iPad mini.  When I go to record, it only lets me record 8 measures and then stops.  How do I lengthen the number of measures I can record so I can record one track of an entire song?

By default song sections are eight bars long.  To record a longer song, you need to extend your song with additional sections.
    See this Help page:   http://help.apple.com/garageband/ipad/2.0/index.html#chs3c3ef5dc
Either record your song in sections of eight measures, or extent a region across several sections:
Change the length of a section
Open the song section controls and tap the section you want to change.
Tap the up or down arrow next to Manual to lengthen or shorten the section incrementally by bars. You can swipe vertically to change it in larger values.
If you want the section to match the length of your next recording (to the nearest bar), turn on Automatic before you record. This is especially useful when recording improvisations or longer parts. The Automatic option is available only for the last (rightmost) section in a song.
Tap anywhere in Tracks view to close the song section controls.
When you shorten a section, any regions extending past the end of the section are shortened. When you lengthen a section, all regions that extend from the beginning to the end of the section now loop to the new end of the section. A section can be any number of bars, and the overall song can be up to 320 bars long.
