How do i deactivate a photoshop key in windows.old?

I've been pulling my hair out over this one and can't find any answers after many google searches.
I'm running windows vista, and got some weird virus the other day that wouldn't let me open any programs or see anything on my desktop and my only real option was to run the system restore disc.
Well, i did, and it worked, but i couldn't deactivate my photoshop key before doing this. Now photoshop is in Windows.old and obviously won't open, so i can't deactivate the key. How do i deactivate it when its stuck in windows.old? there has to be a way...

I was actually a bit confused by the support section and which number to call or which option within support i should choose. I spent about a half an hour trying to find an email address i could send my question to, but couldn't find one.
So i guess what my question now is, where would i find the right number for the type of support i need? Which area within support should i go to?

One way could be to reinstall it on the third computer and then deactivate it and uninstall it.

For Elements you can simply install the application and then set up the Elements Editor for external editing in the LR Library prefs. I’m assuming you won’t be using Oranizer as well as LR. That can lead to confusion and broken links unless you are very disciplined.
If you do intend to use Organizer the method is backup and restore, starting with an Organizer backup on the old PC.

I had setup Firefox Sync on my old Windows 7 install and I have the Sync Key given during the set up. I had to clean install (format C drive) my Windows.
Is there any way I can use the old Sync Key to get all my bookmarks and stuff back?

The problem has resolved itself...
...despite spending several pointless hours trying to delete the existing BootCamp drivers without success, I finally restarted Windows yet again - and this time I was easily able to delete the existing drivers.
I then restarted my Mac, installed the latest drivers without issue and it all works just fine.
Windows, eh?!

How do you remap the Fn key on windows for gaming?

As many of you know on the macbook pro the bottom row of keys is in this order: [fn][control][alt][command] instead of the more logical [control][fn][alt][command]. This can be a huge problem in gaming which requires the use of the control key. Most remapping programs I have tried (in Windows 7) do not recognise the fn key neither do the games themselves when you try to change the keyboard setup. Is there any solution to this problem? You will be helping mac gamers everywhere!

How do i fix my photoshop cs2 for windows 7?

I got a new comp thats is running windows 7 and installed my photoshop cs2 software and at first everything seemed fine until i noticed some differences in the performance. When i try to draw witht he brush tool it is way to slow, for example i draw a line and i pick up the mouse but the photoshop is still drawing the line that should have been done in one mouse stroke. This is very annoying and it makes it difficult to draw and create things. Also the registration form pops up every single time i open photoshop and even though i keep registering or click do not register that window just keeps showing up. My computer has 8GB of ram and 1 TB of hard drive so its not a memory issue. If anyone knows any solution please help.

You are not running as administrator, I think, which may be required and the only way to properly work and register. Also check for compatibility mode settings, UAC and DEP, all of which may require to be adjusted for a legacy app like PS CS2 to run properly. Also turn off Aero and switch to a conventional visual theme. The brush issue may be related to that or is a more generic problem with your graphics card and mouse config, but since you didn't provide any info on that, it will be hard for anyone to advise.

How do I enable the Mac keys in windows XP?

I recently bought a new Mac keyboard with a num pad. Before that I was using a normal mac keyboard. I cannot remember if I changed the drivers or any settings before, but my old mac keyboard could lower and increase volumes using the assigned buttons, as with the increase and lower brightness buttons. Holding down the "fn" key would make it the F11, F12 buttons and so on.
However, when I use my new Mac keyboard, when i press the increase volume button, it's registered as F12, same for the other buttons. Holding down the "fn" key makes no difference. I've tried changing the keyboard preference in the bootcamp control panel, but this only affects my old keyboard, and makes no difference to my new keyboard.
I'm using Windows XP on an iMac.

I did that in VB, but need to do it in Java.

I'm not sure if there is any freely available API for reading the registry. I'm really not very knowledgeable with any of the MS Windows operating sytems. I would imgaine the registry keys are compiled- that you can not access them via some plain text file, correct? Is there a DOS command for displaying the results of a particular registry query? This solution would be a hack, but if such a command exists, you could run it via the RunTime class and then parse the output. I would suggest using a search engine, if you have not all ready tried. I am sure that some API exists for reading the registry, but it might be a commerical package.... .... If you find an answer post it. I believe this question has arisen before, but I'm not sure if an answer was posted.

You can't deactivate without running the program. Your options are:
Fit your hard drive to another computer, disconnect all other drives, and run it in Safe mode (because all the drivers will be wrong). You might be able to open Photoshop to deactivate it (depending on what the screen resolution is in Safe Mode.
Phone customer support. Explain your problem, and ask them to reset Activations.
