I am having a problem with my element 9 and premier elements 9 so I tried the trial version of 11 and ran into the ame problem. I want to ypgrade to the 11 version, but want to deactivate my 9 versions.

Normally, to deactivate any Adobe product you just need to click the Deactivate option found under the Help option of the main menu bar at the top of the application window.

Photoshop Elements never stores the photos just links to them. They will be in the same location on your disk that they always were.
If you are looking for photos on photoshop.com, Adobe shut this down last year. Compatible photos will have been transferred to a Revel account for you with the same ID and password - https://www.adoberevel.com/signin. Note though that PSE10 does not integrate with Revel like it did with photoshop.com.

I don't know what instructions you may have followed, but as long as you "signed out" , then you will be fine.

Have photo shop elements and can't seem to find where I can get my serial number so I might download the program. I'm beginning to think I,m dumb, I follow the instructions but the only number I have is the redemption code. Can anyone help with a simple solution that I can follow. Thanks in advance. Hello John, thanks for reply but it doesent help. It is instructions on how get my serial number but does not show me where this page is so I might imput my redemption code. I've used those instrucrions 50 times or so but never get to the acctual imput screen Should I return this product. I've played with the adobe site everyday since 9/23/14. This will be my last try. I would love to have the name and e-mail of someone I might complane to.

My hard drive crashed! I cannot install my Photo Shop Elements into my new hard drive. The License key is designed for one download to one computer. How do I download not only my Elements 7, but as well all my tutorials/training videos.These are original videos not copies(I Paid For) in 2009 for college.

Why does photo shop elements 12 sometimes say edit in process and locks my photo when an edit is no longer in process? I exited the image from the edit workplace and it's still saying edit in process in my organizer. How can I unlock this photo?

Are you sure? If you still see a thumbnail in the photo bin, it's still open, even if it's not visible in the workspace. You need to click the close button to close an image.

I bought a new V500 epson scanner from Staples about a week ago. When I tried to install photo shop elements 6 the install got down to 38 seconds left and froze up. I turned the computer off and then on again. I found that the photo shop was not completely installed and it won't allow me to uninstall either. Iwould like to install and then reinstall. You have corrupted the system registry
You need to manually delete the program folder, and then buy a registry repair program

You also need software to make a full hard drive backup to an external USB drive
Hardware crashes or virus infections happen, so you should buy software to make a full backup of your hard drive to an external USB hard drive... plus making step-by-step backups during a new install or major program addition makes it easy to go back a step if something doesn't work
This backup and then restore is, of course, only to the same computer with a new drive (or the same drive as long as you don't mind writing over everything) since doing a restore to a new computer won't work due to Windows and many programs having activation information that is keyed to your hardware (which is why Windows will force you to RE-Activate if you change very much hardware)

Image runs off of a bootable CD via Linux (the Zip you download includes a program to make the bootable CD) and it reads EVERYTHING on the drive, even the hidden registration information, so everything is restored when needed... and you may restore the image to a brand new drive in case of a crash, and not have to re-install anything
Please note that I own no part of Image, and I don't get a referral fee (that is just a plain web link) but I use the program and it has saved me a LOT of trouble when I had a hard drive die... and I was able to restore everything and not have to re-install or re-activate a single program, from Windows on up

Does anyone know how to install adobe photoshop elements version 1.0.1 into win 7 home edition when I try to install it asks for internet explorer 4.0 or greater to install photo shop elements.

You can get the Classroom in a Book from http://www.adobepress.com (a susidy of Pearson). This will take you through pretty much everything, from start to finish.
If you are looking to edit movies though, you will need Premiere Elements (the sister program to Photoshop Elements, which is used for editing images).

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.
