How do i deauthorize a computer from my itunes? when i put my user name and password it says not valid

I am trying to deauorize a computer from my itunes however when i enter my username and password it says its invalid.

It sounds like you may have some media purchased under another Apple ID. I would recommend finding the account name of the media that will not transfer and authorize the computer for that account. To find the account name, see the section labeled Authorize using the correct account name in the article below. Alternatively, you can either Right-Click and Get Info on the selected media for Windows or Control-Click and Get Info for Mac. The Apple ID that was used to purchase the media will be on the Summary tab.

Begin by opening the iTunes program and going to the iTunes Store via the iTunes Store button in the top right.
Once you're at the iTunes Store, click on the Sign In button at the top left corner (if you're not signed in) or on your account name in the same location (if you're already signed in).
This will bring you to your iTunes account. In the top box, you'll see a section labelled Computer Authorizations towards the bottom. Next to it is a button that reads Deauthorize All. Click it.
A window will pop up asking you to confirm that this is what you want to do. Continue.
In just a few seconds, all 5 computers on your account will be deauthorized.
Now, re-authorize just the computers that you still use and you'll be all set.

Those are great suggestions and got me looking in places I had not considered before. Unfortunately, the problem remains. The System Preferences did not have the shut down option activated and there are no parental controls active on the computer.
Any other suggestions are welcome.

Sorry if this posted twice I am NEW. I thought I could just go back to what I typed and add to it. Mom had a computer it died they are putting in the old drive on the new computer as a slave. What are the steps I need to do to transfer ALL the bookmarks, user names and passwords onto the new computer. We will have 3 desktops do we have to do the same steps on each desktop? Deauthorize Audible Account... always appears as a menu selection, even if you deauthorized Audible or never even had an account.
Audible is a different account from iTunes and does not require the same username / password.
