I want to send an email several days after I compose it.

  • How to delay delivery of an email

    Just switched from a PC...used outlook for years...How can I delay delivery of an email with MAIL....used to do with Outlook...unable to find the answer anywhere

    As far as I know, Mail does not have this feature; the closest thing to it would be to save your email in the Drafts folder and create a note for yourself with the day/time you want to send it. A Drafts folder will be created automatically as soon as you choose to save the message as a draft. Once ready, simply open the email in the Drafts folder and select Send in the message menu.

  • How can I delay delivery of an outgoing e-mail?

    Please bare with me if this is very elementary, but I am new to OS X.  I want to set up e-mails but specify a future date for their delivery.  I know how to do it with Outlook on a PC, but have found no option for such with OS X.  Does it have anything to do with using IMAP instead of POP?  Is there a better mail client to use with OS X than the default Mail?
    Thanks!

    Lots of questions...
    There is no way (that I am aware of) to delay sending E-mail from the Mail application.
    IMAP/POP is not a factor, as far as I know.

  • On time delievry Vs delayed delivery in MM-PUR

    Hi,
    In Purchasing module(MM)...
    I am looking for a report that will give how many times the supplier was able to deliver items on or before the delivery date
    as in PO and how many times delayed delivery was done.
    I have all details regarding shipment/delivery in a generic datasource.
    How to get this done??
    Thanks

    Probable Solution :
    Create a With Holding tax code as Retention ( e.g RH) and assign it to Vendor Master.In SPRO setting define the % as 5 for Retention Code in formula.
    While doing MIRO you need to Choose the Tax code , it will work. This concept generally at FI document posting .Check with FI consultant and do posting in FI string you may get some solution.

  • Outlook/Exchange 2013 Delayed Delivery of emails

    We're currently migrating from Exchange 2010 to 2013 and a few of our users are saying the "Delayed Delivery" option in Outlook is not working as it used to.
    They are claiming that they were able to set a time for delivery, close Outlook, and the email would be sent at the right time. Right now, emails are sitting in the Outbox until the specified time and then sending; Outlook must be open.
    However, everything I can find on the subject says that's how it has been since Ex2007. Some say if the user is Online mode instead of Cached, it will work, but these users were always in Cached Mode.
    Does this sound correct?

    Hi,
    Please make sure that Outlook Anywhere is enabled on Exchange server 2013 at first.
    What's more, please check if you can log via OWA. If yes, the issue is related to your Outlook. If no, I recommend you use Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer tool to test Outlook Anywhere connectivity. For your convenience:

  • How to default Concurrent Program delivery options to Email.

    As of r12.1.3, we have a new button in concurrent request submission window called "Delivery Opts"
    Clicking that button opens up a new window with delivery options.   Second tab contains the Email option.
    I have a need where a concurrent program is submitted it should email the output  by default without needing to manually enter email details every time.
    I know that this can be done via scheduled concurrent requests. But in my case this concurrent program will be part of the shipping document set and will be submitted through the form and not SRS.
    In concurrent program definition window under AOL,  we have ability to assign default printer, but we do not have any ability to assign default email functionality.   It would be nicer if we had one.
    That having said,  does any one know how to do this ?  How can I submit a concurrent program from a form and default to email option ?   Where would I control this setup?
    Please advise.
    Darsh

    you may not be able to do that by setup, but if you submit this request using pl/sql code you can do this
    please check example below
    DECLARE
    l_conc_id NUMBER;
    l_user_id NUMBER := xxx ; -- you can assign it from profile option value
    l_resp_id NUMBER := xxx ; -- you can assign it from profile option value
    l_resp_ppl_id NUMBER := xxx; -- you can assign it from profile option value
    l_boolean BOOLEAN;
    BEGIN
    l_boolean :=
    fnd_request.add_delivery_option (TYPE => 'E', -- this one to speciy the delivery option as Email
    p_argument1 => 'Testing the Email option from back end', -- subject for the mail
    p_argument2 => '[email protected]', -- from address
    p_argument3 => '[email protected]','[email protected]', -- to address
    p_argument4 => '', -- cc address to be specified here.
    nls_language => ''); -- language option);
    IF l_boolean = TRUE THEN
    FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE (l_user_id, l_resp_id, l_resp_ppl_id); -- intialize the apps.
    l_conc_id :=

  • Outlook 2010 Delayed Delivery Email not leaving Outbox

    Hello,
    My users are experiencing the following issue:
    1. Email is created with delayed delivery at a later time.
    2. User closes Outlook 2010 for the day.
    3. When user reopens Outlook 2010 the next morning, the message is still sitting in the Outbox and was never sent.
    The problem is this was not the case with Windows XP/Outlook 2003/Exchange 2007 in online mode. Where the user would be able to send the delayed email then shutdown his/her computer and the message would be submitted and sent from exchange.
    My users are now on Windows 7/Outlook 2010 users are still on the same Exchange 2007 server. The clients are now using Exchanged cached mode.
    Please let me know what the problem could be.
    Thanks and regards.

    I posted this on Microsoft home page as well. there is an issue with the plugins below. the stuff in gray is what led me to my solution for me below.
    Disable AVG's addin - it's known to cause problems.
    I have been using AVG for the past 5 years.  I had the issue before I upgraded to AVG 2011.  I've never had a problem until I moved to Office 2011. I don't recall if I stated using delayed delivery before I upgraded to Outlook 2010, however.
    So that is what my guess was going to be.
    I have not tried to disable the AVG add-in yet because it does not happen that often (that a message gets stuck in the Outbox with "none" as the delivery date).
    Todd
    I was having this problem as well. I did NOT have this plugin. but i got thinking about 3rd party plugins. I have the "Google calendar calender Sync" tool that syncs my outlook calendar and my Google calendar together 2 ways. As soon as i disabled this it went
    through no problem. its possible that other 3rd party plugins are not allowing it to function as desired as well. i suggest disabeling all the 3rd party add-ins and and running a test. mine is now working like a champ

  • [E2007][EWS][C#][Windows]: Cannot delete delayed delivery emails

    I am using EWS to schedule delayed delivery emails in advance for a package management system. When a package is "logged" the system creates two delayed delivery emails, one 7 days out and one 14 days out to remind the package recipient they have a package
    waiting for pickup.
    When the package is picked up the system is supposed to delete the scheduled emails. This is where I am having trouble.
    It seems EWS does not allow you to delete a delayed delivery email - you must use a desktop Outlook client to do so. Can someone explain the logic behind this? Are there any plans for future support of deleting delayed emails through EWS?

    EWS doesn't run against Outlook.  It runs against the Exchange Server.  Exchange Server has a copy of all the mailboxes that you see in everybody's outlook clients.  When you connect to a mailbox in EWS using the discovery service, you are
    connecting to the copy of the email box that sits inside the server.
    To connect to just the server without connecting to a mailbox, do the following:
    //connect to the exchange server by server name
    ExchangeService service =
    new ExchangeService(ExchangeVersion.Exchange2007_SP1);
    service.Credentials =
    new WebCredentials(strAccount, strPassword, strDomain);
    service.Url =
    new Uri("https://" + strExchangeServer +
    "/ews/exchange.asmx");
    The name of the exchange server is usually remote.yourEmailDomainName,  however, this could have been changed by your administrator.  You can usually find the name of the server by printing the service.Url of a connected
    mailbox.
    Once you connect to the server, all the EWS commands work on objects outside of mailboxes

  • Outlook 2007 Exchange Delay Delivery Not Working

    I am trying to delay the delivery of 2 emails. I am using Outlook 2007 and the account I set up is an Exchange account provided to me through my college. I saw that Outlook needs to open at the time of desired delivery for the emails to be sent, but that
    this was not the case for Exchange accounts. I tested it when I exited Outlook and the email hadn't sent. Instead, it sent only when I opened Outlook again. How can I alleviate this issue? I have deselected "Use Cached Exchange Mode" and this hasn't
    helped.

    How did you set the delay delivery? With Do not delivery before option or a delay rule?
    After you've clicked the Sent button, please try to click the Send&Receive button to make sure syncing the change to the server. Then close Outlook client and see if the email will be sent at the time you specified.

    Hi All,
    Whenever i am trying to send mail to external address from Business Workplace (Tcode: SBWP), it initially sets the status of the mail as waiting with message 'Will be sent after server date:server time'. But after 6 hours, its status changes to error with message 'No delivery to <external email id>.
    When i checked in error log (in SOST), it displays the following messages:
    1. Document sent
    2. Wait for Communications service
    3. No delivery to <external email id> (after 6 hours from Document sent/Wait for communications service time)
    Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shane,
    Extremely sorry for the late reply.
    I asked the BASIS team to fix the issue.. and i think they did some configuration as a result of which i am not getting any error msg now while sending email.
    I guess you also need to check with your BASIS team to fix this issue.

  • Outlook does not send Delayed Delivery Messages

    Hello,
    I have a client that can set up a delayed delivery but it does not get sent out. The user opens a new message, adds some stuff, sets it to delay delivery until 8 AM the following morning, and then hits send. The message sits in the outbox until the following
    morning. Meanwhile, the user opens the email back up periodically, adds some more information, and hit send again, throughout the day. But since moving to 2010 (and View – they were on Office XP and Citrix previously) the message never sends. Unless you open
    it after the scheduled delivery date, and hit send again, then it goes out. I have checked the "Send/Receive Groups" and verified that the outbox is selected. Other users on the network have delayed delivery set and working correctly.
    Any Ideas would be great, Thanks.

    Hi,
    This behavior may occur if the following conditions are true:
    Outlook is running in Cached Exchange Mode.
    Outlook  is not running at the scheduled time of the deferred delivery.
    When Outlook  is running in Cached Exchange Mode, it uses a local offline folder file (.ost). This file is periodically synchronized with the server.  When you enable the
    Do not deliver before option to defer the delivery of a message, the message is deferred to the local Outbox, not to the server.  Therefore, the message will not be delivered from the local .ost file unless Outlook  is running when
    the message is scheduled to be delivered.  This behavior does not occur in when Outlook is running in online mode.
    To work around this behavior, enable the Do not deliver before option to defer delivery of the message when Outlook  is running in online mode.
    Go to FILE -> Account Settings -> Account Settings -> Double click the account name, uncheck "Use Cached Exchange Mode", click "Next". You'll then need to restart Outlook to use Online Mode.

    Hi Melon,
    Outlook is not running in cached mode because the clients are logging into a Vmware view environment. This is only happening when the user sets delayed delivery to overnight(a test at 45 minutes went through). Other users are able to send emails through without
    fail under the same circumstances.
    We believe it may be an issue with View when the user logs out and back in and gets a different desktop, but I'm not quite sure why.

  • Outlook 2010 Delayed Delivery

    Hi,
    If I were to configure a global delayed delivery timer as a Rule but instead configure another delay delivery when creating an email, which one will take effect?
    Will the individual email delay delivery timer overrides the global delay settings?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Based on my testing, the delay delivery rule will always take the effect in Outlook 2010. The individual email delay delivery timer doesn't override the global delay settings.
