How do I delete a download in iTunes, I have paused them so they have not yet began

I have recently set up my iTunes account and was browsing through it when I accidentally selected the 'miranda' series. Once I had clicked on it, it started to prepare to download so I have paused them. I am not sure as to whether it has charged me or not. Is there anyway in which I can cancel/delete the downloads I do not want from ITunes???????? Please help!!!!!

Once an item enters the download queue, the user cannot remove it. Either let it complete the download (easiest) or contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the Contact page  and ask them if they'll remove the item(s) from your queue for you. You will have been charged, so if you do not want the series, you'll have to request a refund and hope that one will be granted.
Regards.

  • Ios7 - how can i delete queued downloads in itunes?

    Ios 7.0.3 ipad 2
This seems to be a constant problem with itunes on the ipad but there still does not seem to be a clean fix offered by apple.
I have 50 downloads sitting in my download queue in itunes which i want to delete since they are episodes of tv shows which i don't want to watch (the extra episodes). They have been there for a while but none of the solutions offered by other similar discussions have worked (eg. Sign out, reset - all ctrl alt delete type solutions, or swiping back and forward until a delete button appears).
I have since downloaded ios703 and with this, in itunes downloads, there is an edit button. Click on this and i see cancel or delete. Unfortunately i can't seem to select any of the 50 queued downloads to delete and therefore my delete button stays greyed out.
And so i still have the problem of how to delete queued downloads in the itunes download queue.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.

Go to iTunes menu View -> Show browser.
Select a Genre at the top left which you want to change.
This will show all songs with that Genre.
Select all the songs shown and right click - get info.
Change the Genre to what you want and the misspelled one will disappear.

Unfortunately iWeb cannot read or import previously published files, only generate them.  You'll have to recreate your site from scratch.
However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site.

If you tap and hold down the icon - and the X does not appear on the icon - you will not be able to delete it without totally downloading it. Finish the download and then delete it.

Open iTunes with your device connected to the computer. Click on the Apps entry under Libraries in the iTunes sidebar. Locate the apps you don't want, select the app, CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Delete from the context menu. When you've deleted all the ones you don't want re-sync your device with iTunes.

How do I delete/hide songs from iTunes Match? When I mark them, and delete them (and yes, I mark the box where it says delete from the cloud as well), they just reappear once I sync with itunes match again. (the symbol available for download appears). Is there a way to completely remove the tracks?
(And no, I don't just want to hide them (in the menu), since the tracks will appear in my iPhone anyways).

    Hey imol92,
You may have already looked at this; http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4915
It is all the public information on removing songs that you have uploaded to the iTunes Cloud.

How can I delete movie from my itunes on cpmputer?

I think I found a solution to this problem. Go into the Video app and tap on TV Shows and then tap on the icon for the show that is downloading. Next to each episode, there is a circle with a square in the middle of it. Tap the square next to each episode and it will disappear both from that list and and from the downloading queue in the iTunes app. When you want to download a particular episode, go back into the show in the Video season and tap on Show Complete Season. Now each episode has its own Download button.
Needless to say, it is insane that when you redeem a season purchase on the iPad, it insists on downloading the entire season.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

  • I have a "download error" of a purchased movie. How do I delete the download attempt?

I have a "download error" of a purchased movie that I was attempting to download to my iPad. How do I delete the download attempt? Since it has been there several weeks now, it is safe to assume it is not going to download to my iPad. I just want to get rid of it!

Perhaps try the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:

  • How do I delete a downloading movie?

    Hello,
I tried to download a movie onto my ipad using itunes. However, I downloaded the HD movie instead of the SD one, so now i do not have enough storage space avaliable to actually download it. How do i delete the download so I can purchase the SD version? Thanks in advance!

See if you can tap on the download to pause it. Then try swiping across the progress bar to try to delete it. If you can't delete it, you may have to contact iTunes Store support in order to get out of this fix.

  • How do I delete auto download of ios7

How do I delete auto download of ios7

I found a solution from a Chinese website called WeIphone (http://www.weiphone.com/)
Here is the original Chinese version if you are interested: http://bbs.weiphone.com/read-htm-tid-7022768.html
Now I will try to retell the solution for those who prefers English:
Notice: This guide is for those who still have iOS 6 running on their  devices and only want to delete the update file for iOS 7 automatically  downloaded. For those who have already updated their devices to iOS 7  and want to downgrade to iOS 6, this guide will probably be useless.
Part 1. How to prevent iOS 7 from being downloaded automatically:
If your device has already downloaded iOS 7 automatically, please skip this part and read part 2.
Method A: Keep free space on your iPad / iPhone below 3.1GB all the time. You can do this by installing some large games or keep some music / films.
Method B:With your device unplugged from power, connect to WIFI and open Settings->General->Software Update. Now your device will try to find whether there is new update or not. After a few minutes, there will be a notice of new update (currently is iOS 7.0.2) and a button says "Download and Install". DO NOT press it. Now you can use your device as usual. As long as you check the update manually, it won't download it automatically. It's wired, but it works.
Part 2. Delete iOS 7 firmware downloaded automatically:
Method A: If you have backup in iTunes, recover it. (I didn't test this method, so it's on your own risk.)
Method B: Open Settings->General->Software Update, Click "Install Now". There will be a prompt says "Verifying update...", Wait until this prompt disappear, there will be a spinning wheel on the black background. Immediately press and hold both of the power and home buttons at the same time. DO NOT release the power and home buttons for about 10 seconds. Your device will reboot. It's done. The automatically downloaded firmware will have been deleted. Now read part 1 to prevent automatically downloading in the future.
My new iPad (the 3rd generation, 16GB WIFI version) is running iOS 6.1.3 and automatically downloaded iOS 7.0.2, I tried Method B to delete it and succeed. However this is not an official method so there is no guarantee it will work for everyone, please use it at your own risk.

  • HT4847 how do i access movies I have downloaded from itunes and permanently erase them from my cloud?

how do i access movies I have downloaded from itunes and permanently erase them from my cloud?

    Hey okapi22,
Thanks for the question. Assuming you are attempting to clear up iCloud storage, it's important to note that iTunes purchases do not count against this storage. For more information, see the following:
Your iCloud storage is used for iCloud Backup, app data and documents stored in iCloud, and iCloud Mail (your @icloud.com email account).
iCloud: iCloud storage and backup overview
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12519
Additionally, you are not able to delete purchases from iTunes in the Cloud, but you are able to hide them.  Take a look at the following article:
iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
