How do I delete a Library

Hi. On my Apple TV I have 3 shared iTunes libraries listed under Computers. The thing is that one of them shouldn't be listed - I think it's from a library I had on an old hard drive on one of my computers.
How do I delete it? If I select it, nothing comes up - I just get a spinning 'cursor'. I've checked our computers and the only shared libraries are the other two listed on the Apple TV.
Any ideas?
Joe.

Ok, sorted it out. I logged out of iTunes on all computers and on the Apple TV. I then logged back in on the computers, followed by on the Apple TV. And now it's all good!

I try to open I photo and  I get the message, your iPhoto library is damaged...please restore from backup. But i din't made backup copy. How can i delete previous library and work wrom the new one?

Try this (assuming you're using iPhoto 12): make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the three fixes below in order as needed:
      Fix #1
delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
    Select options #1, #2 and #6.
    Fix #3
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

hello , i want to add a folder of photo to my iphon from my comp. i select that folder in itune and sync with my iphone . but i have 2 folder in my iphone .
1-in name of the folder 2-in name of photo library.how i can delete photo library from my iphone but i still have my photo folder?

You can't delete the Photo Library. The iPhone stores photos the same way iPhoto does on a Mac. All photos are synced to your Photo Library. The various albums/folders merely contain pointers to the actual photos which are in your Photo Library, they are not duplicates.

  • How do I delete photo library from my iPad?

how do i delete the photo library from my ipad?

Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen or via the Edit button in thumbnail view. If you want to select and delete a lot of photos then in thumbnail view tap the Edit button and then try touching the first photo with two fingers and then slide the two fingers (not too quickly) across the photos that you want to remove and they should get ticked (it might take a few attempts)
Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing - if you want to delete all synced photos then try selecting and syncing an empty folder.

  • How do I delete itunes library and move library from old windows machine to

My daughter bought a new macbook and would like to move her itunes library from the windows machine to the mac. I copied it to the mac and moved the existing itunes folder to the trash. By the way, she got 3 free downloads from Apple and they were in the library I moved to the trash bin. I then moved the backup folder to the location of the itunes folder I had deleted. When I open itunes, it sees the 3 songs in the deleted folder. How do I get itunes to recognoze the new itunes folder?

Thank you. As I understand it, if the original iTunes folder had never been populated, we would have been able to move the library exported from Windows into iTunes and preserve the playlists. Because my daughter downloaded 3 songs she does not even like, we have no way of preserving playlists? There must be some way to remove all connections to the first library. Is it possible remove the iTunes application and then either re-install it from the original disks or else download it. I know you can download iTunes for Windows, not sure if it is there for Macs. My guess is that if she starts itunes from scratch, there would be no references to the intial DB and we could then move in the folder from Windows without a problem.

  • How do I delete a Library from Final Cut Pro 10.1?

I created a new Library in FCP 10.1 but now I can't delete it (option to delete it in the menu is grayed out).  I know you have to have at least one Library but there is another Library so that isn't the problem.  Thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Paul

No, Libraries are independent little universes, all unto themselves.  They operate at the Finder level only. This allows you to duplicate, and copy them in the Finder, without the database UUID conflict we had with Events and Projects beofore.  That was why that function was inside FCP X, so it could duplicate and copy things, and be sure to assign them unique UUID numbers internally.  That is not an issue now, FCP should bow out of the process.
But I can see how it would be slick to have a Library "Move to Trash" function.  It would make me nervous.  Who knows, it may be coming.
Either way, once you get the hang of it, you'll learn it is a really easy, very flexible system.

  • How do I DELETE ENTIRE Library

OK here is the detailed version. I have been in computer **** for four weeks and I want this over. This is one last try. I am so weary. I have had to wipe the drive and reinstall the system 4 times now. It began with 10.3.9, then 10.4.4 then 10.3.9 then 10.4.5 I keep trying new things to make it stop happening. Updates, no Updates, New System, Old Sysytem, Old system with updates and without, ILife 04 etc... I thought IPhoto might be the culprit but it happened again without me having my original library reinstalled on it yet. What I have realized is the only common thread is this . I like to use a 800x600dpi projector with ITunes and ever since I updated my ITunes when a playlist ends and the computer goes to sleep with the program running it can not wake up ever. If it tries, it fails and upon restart it gets worse fast. I'm guessing that ITunes 6 is unable to wake up at 800x600 dpi. Reboot gives a blank screen eventually. PRAM PMU Disk Utilities Etc etc. You name it. (FOUR TIMES NOW) So now I have updated everything possible, I bought ILife 06 hoping to resolve the issues and I have done every darn update known to man. I'm almost there. I have the computer set to never sleep. So as a temp measure while I troubleshooted the causes of my woes I was using a library that was a year old. I want to delete it and replace it with the proper backed up version. The correct one has 13,000 pics but says 85,000 items and it is 13Gigs. It won't replace the old one because disk space issues it says(there is now 40Gig available) I try deleting it by moving it to the trash. It will do one item a second and gets hung up every few files that it will not delete because it can't read them. PLEASE HELP. I want my pictures back. I want't my treasure laptop back.

I just noticed your post and wondered if you have solved your problem yet.
You might take a look at Lori Diloreto's directions for fixing a corrupt library and see if anything there is helpful, especially about creating a new library and then moving the correct photos into it: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1885752&#1885752

  • How do I delete photo library on my phone

My memory is getting sucked up because of my photo library. And finally discovered where pictures went that I just took but not going into my camera roll. I saw a suggestion via Google and deleted my photo library AND everything else but the camera roll. I did back up everything before I did, too. But then I was blocked from adding any of my picture files until I allowed the photo library back onto my phone. And then it's back to sucking up my memory. I just got my 32GB iPhone 5 and cannot afford to get the 64GB one. But that would be wasted if all my pictures go into this sunflower box! And you cannot delete any picture, never mind the file. Please help! I don't have a lot of apps, but I've had to delete them to take a picture or shoot a short video. It's that bad!

I went to second link. On my laptop, from sync photos from, my only choice is pictures. I do not have either of the folders the second link mentions. On my list on my laptop (Windows Vista), I was hoping Photo Stream was the same as the Photo Library as it has the same sunflower button. All this did was ADD photo stream onto my phone. But I was able to delete it. So I say again, I really want this tab/app off my phone and I cannot seem to be able to get it off of it.

  • How do I Delete Photo Library and Albums on iphone 5

Someone please help me!!! I've been all over trying to get help.  My photos are safely on my PC.  I was able to delete all the photos on the Camera Roll only.  I need to delete all albums including PHOTO LIBRARY which has over 3000 photos.  I don't want any photos on my phone.
Does Apple prevent this so you will have to buy more storage?  You should be able to delete an album.

Connect the phone to your computer, click on the iPhone name in iTunes, click on the Photos tab. Check Seleted folders. Uncheck the albums you don't want on the phone, then click Sync.

  • How do I delete a library on itunes? Its not mine, I dont know who it belongs to.

my iPod touch got stolen 4-5 years ago and I have since then gotten new apple electronics. A few days ago I updated the itunes to the latest version and found someone else's itunes library, and I dont know who this belongs to. Its labeled "Bryson Richmond's Library" And I've figured it was the person that took my iPod all those years ago. The thing is, I've looked at my authorized devices for my apple ID and they only show mine, as well as I have not once gotten a receipt email for anything I myself have not purchased. My library sharing is also turned off. Is there anything I can do to get this person's library out of my itunes?

Are you sure it's not picking up a shared library from someone else's computer on the same network? Presumably "Bryson Richmond"?  That's what it sounds like.  When my Wife and I both have our machines on, she can see my library and I can see hers...
What you're seeing is a shared library on someone else's machine. If you have your own wireless network and don't believe there should be anyone on it other than you, then CHANGE THE SECURITY SETTINGS and the password on your network IMMEDIATELY.
