I have two Apple ID, how can I delete one and use the email address associates to the main one?

If you abandon one of the Apple IDs you will also basically be abandoning any content that you have acquired with that Apple ID. Content can only be updated and re-downloaded with the Apple ID that was used to buy it. Apple will not combine the content of Apple IDs and Apple will not transfer the content from one Apple ID to another Apple ID.

  • How do I delete old .mac and .me email addresses from the new iCloud email server?

Now that I have iCloud, all the old .mac and .me email that I never used feeds through it.  Since there is no SPAM filter, I cannot block these emails from getting through and I get lots of spam now.   How do I delete the .mac and .me email addresses?
    Thanks.

I  set the Rules months ago to automatically put all email sent to those email addresses in TRASH.  However, they still appear in my Mail Trash on my Mac.  Just an annoyance.    Thanks for the response.

  • How to delete massive amounts of email on iPhone

Hi. I have over 1500 emails in an earthlink.net email account on an iPhone running iOS 8.1 and want to mass-delete all but the last 3 months — say 120 emails. Is there a way to do this other than one-by-one manually?

But I need to keep them on my computer. Or, are you saying that, once they've been downloaded to the Powerbook G4 and iPhone 4, if I delete them on webmail, they'll disappear from my iPhone?
I think my experience has been that, if I delete my road runner webmail emails, it has no effect on e mail already downloaded to my MPB or iPhone 5s.
I read a nifty-sounding 'trick' for deleting piles of email on an iPhone, but the tipper said not to try it on massive amounts or it would freeze up the iPhone. You check the top email (which activates the 'Move' button so it becomes clickable). Then holding the Move button, unclick the top email and wait, holding down 'Move' (while, seemingly, nothing's happening). Once all the email has been moved, you are presented with a screen with the option to move the moved mail to trash. I'll attach a screenshot of that screen, showing what happened just now to all the (16) emails presently on this iPhone 5s...

  • Massive amounts of email missing

I keep basically all of my email, and I've recently noticed that there are entire years of email missing from the folder I created to archive my email. The biggest is a gap of three years where there is no email at all from that time period. What has happened to it? I have tried rebuilding the folder, no luck, then I tried breaking it up into smaller folders then rebuilding the original folder, no luck. Recent mail is missing also. Spotlight does not find it. Can anyone help?

  • How do i delete all messages from my email?

I had a server problem over the weekend and all of my email messages that i got from day #1 are reloading as new, unread mail. How can i delete them all(thousands). I'm using outlook and have not been able to sync my Inbox. Contacts and all else is fine.???

Check your account settings with Outlook for removing or deleting messages from the server when downloaded by Outlook.
The iPhone's email client includes the same settings, as do all email clients for a POP account.
I would handle this with Outlook. Delete and recreate the account with Outlook, and before checking the account for new message with Outlook, select remove or deleted messages from the server when downloaded for the account preferences with Outlook.
All messages available on the server will be downloaded again by Outlook, and removed from the server when doing so. You can mass delete all messages from Outlook.
When deleting and recreating the account with the iPhone's Mail client, none of these messages will be downloaded by the iPhone's Mail client after being removed from the server when downloaded by Outlook.
Or since you likely have webmail access for this account using a browser, you can mass delete all messages available on the server via webmail access. After deleting the messages from the server, delete and recreate the account with the iPhone's Mail client.
An IMAP account is much easier in this regard, which is designed to be accessed with multiple email clients on different computers or devices.
A POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client on one computer or device.

  • How do I delete all of my current email?

I have hundreds of emails if not thousands on my Ipad all of which I wish to delete because I have read (and deleted) these on my Mac.  When I delete the emails on the Mac they still appear on the Ipad as new.  So I've got old, outdated emails that I just need to somehow get into the trash.   Is there a way to delete everything in my iPad email account and start over.  I would like to avoid deleting individual emails because of time constraints and because of the sheer volume of outdated emails.  Any how do I synch the email that is on the Mac and laptop with the IPad so that when I delete from one it is deleted from all.  I use gmail.  Thanks very much for any assistance you can provide.

I think your best option would be to delete you email account off your iPad to get rid of the emails and start fresh. It sounds to me like you have your Gmail account set to POP which keeps a copy of your email on the server and transfers a copy to all devices regardless. This can be handy for offline viewing since emails are downloaded to each device.
Setting up your Gmail account to IMAP is the preferred method. IMAP automatically syncs changes to all devices. It does not download a copy for offline viewing (there is probably a setting to activate this as well) but views your email online. All changes such as reading and deleting email are immediate and visible on all devices pretty much at the same time.
I stick to using Gmail through a web browser on my Mac but if you are using Mail on the Mac you may have to re-configure it there as well once Gmail is set to IMAP. Gmail can be setup to support both formats in it's settings.
Read Getting started with IMAP and POP from Gmail help files.

How do I delete an email in I cloud from my I phone

You would have to delete your current iCloud account from your phone "Settings > iCloud > Delete Account" in order to setup and use your old iCloud account for all the iCloud services again.
Of course you could also add your old account only for Mail as a secondary account in "Settings > Maiil, Contacts, Calendars > iCloud" and continue using your new account for all other iCloud service, but I assume that you prefer option 1.

  • How do I delete a large amount of text messages without clearing my SD card?

I have a large amount of text messages that I need to delete because the system is slow but don't want to clear my SD card for fear of losing all my pictures.

Hi, you didn't say much about the problem but hope this helps.  The system should not be slow unless the messages are on the phone memory; not the card. Regardless of where the messages are, you should be able to delete them without any risk unless you are talking about wiping your card which should be unnecessary.  I just read of two apps; one for backup if you want to make a copy and one to delete large threads.  The large threads were causing people problems.   I am assuming the messages are not on the card.

  • How can I delete an enormous amount of e-mails from my computer.  I have the Apple e-mail program, and threesome to be too many to delete.  Any ideas how?

I have thousands of e-mails in my in box such that 'select all' will not work.

Click the first email. Scroll down a ways and hold the Shift key while you click an email way down the list. This selects that group of email. Tap the Delete key to delete that group. Repeat as often as needed until Select All works.

  • How can I delete addresses in a received email before forwarding?

I want to clean up a message before forwarding it to someone on my iPad.  Cannot find out hoe to delete sections of received email before sending on.  Read a double tap would give me a delete option but it does not.  So much for buying books.  Also have never figured out how to delete a saved photo from iPad either.  Anybody out there know how?

You have 2 options, 1: tap and hold on the first word of the message and select-drag or select all the text you want and copy it, then start a new mail message and tap into the body of the mail and paste, or 2: tap forward, and in the new mail message tap on any of the recipients you want to delete and back space/ delete, and the same goes for the text; tap and hold on the first word and select-drag-backspace/delete the text.

  • How can I delete a no-longer-valid email address from iPhone's Mail?

My son has changed his email address, and I have made the changes in the Adressbook (they sync correctly via MobileMe). But his old email address continues to pop up in the Mail application. I know how to delete this from the desktop's Mail application, but don't know how to do this on the iPhone.
Any suggestions/pointers? Thanks in advance. Cheers, Veit

The only way to remove this data from your phone is to restore the phone as a "new" device, & not from a backup. Of course, if you do this you will lose all saved data & have to sync back your itunes content. Some view this as a feature, others a PIA. You need to decide for yourself if it's worth going through restoring as new or just living with it. You can leave feedback here:
