How do I delete a Shared Printer that is no longer here?

In the left pane in a finder window under "SHARED" there is a printer that use to be my sons. He moved out and took that printer with him, but I can't remove the shared printer reference now.
It's no big deal, but it is a small annoyance.
Anyone know how to remove this?
27" iMac
OSX 10.9.1
It's an HP printer. Not sure of the model, but the anme is hp00237df74c8d

Hmmm. Think I just solved this myself...
For those others that have this problem,
System Preferences

Set recent items to zero then back again.
NOTE:
This will remove your recent apps and documents as well.
Thanks anyway!

  • Group Policy To Delete Old Shared Printers That Are No Longer Shared

I am having an issue where I am successfully using Group Policy to deploy some new printers.
(Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Printer Connections > Use the Share name \\Server\Print_Shared_Name)
but I have on those same desktops some old shared printers (\\Server\Old_Printer_Name). They are IP printers being shared off the server but this printer no longer exists on the server and the IP address is also no longer being used. Tried to use some group
policies to delete the printer for the non-admin users but am having no luck with the printer being removed from the machine. The desktops are all Win7 Service Pack 1 and the Server is Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
    Things I have tried:
    1. In my same working policy that I use to install the new printer I tried to add on the following
(User Configuration > Preferences > Control Panel Settings > Printers > New > Shared Printer > Delete > For the share path I enter the old share path name that it shows but actually no longer works so \\Server\Old_Printer_Name)
^This did not work when I sign into the desktop as a non-admin user that has the printer still installed or as an admin that also had the printer installed, ran gpupdate, gpupdate /force, rebooted, restarted print spooler
Tried the same steps above but with the following instead
(Computer Configuration > Preferences > Control Panel Settings  > Printers > New > TCP/IP Printer > Delete > I then enter the \\Server\Old_Printer_Name IP Address that it used to use
    Same results
    2. I also tried to create a registry deletion policy still under this policy that installs the printer as follows:
(Computer Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Registry >
New > Registry Item > Delete > I used the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER for the hive and key path is Printers > Connections > Manually entered the key from the desktop for the printer I am trying to remove so ,,SERVER,Old_Printer_Name)
^This did not work when I sign into the desktop as a non-admin user that has the printer still installed or as an admin that also had the printer installed, ran gpupdate, gpupdate /force, rebooted, restarted print spooler
    3. I also ran a Group Policy Result and it says that it ran the policy just fine
I've tried these steps and everything was case sensitive but have had no luck. Anything that anyone can suggest or if I am in the wrong area, please kindly point me in the right direction

    Hi,
    >>(Computer Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Registry >
New > Registry Item > Delete > I used the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER for the hive and key path is Printers > Connections > Manually entered the key from the desktop for the printer I am trying to remove so ,,SERVER,Old_Printer_Name)
For we are editing the registry hive under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, the setting should be User Configuration\ Preferences \Windows Settings \ Registry

  • How can I delete an email personality that I no longer use

I have been accessing several different email addresses that I no longer use. How can I delete those email personalities from Thunderbird

Looks like you already found this answer but to save another volunteer from answering again and for future searches here is how to remove an old email account.
'''Before you remove an account in Thunderbird, move any messages for that account that you want to keep into a local folder. Removing an account will take all messages associated with that account that are not in a local folder with it.'''
Press the alt key if the Menu Bar is not showing.
From the Menu Bar select Tools-Account Settings
    Select the account
    Account Actions-Remove Account
Please mark this solved it you are satisfied with the answer.

  • How do I delete an email address that is no longer in use nor it my contact list?

I keep getting email addresses automatically entered when I send email....they are no longer in use or changed,,,they do not show up on my contact list...how can I delete them??

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients. The email address autofill feature when addressing an email pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients to add a previous recipient to Contacts that is not already entered in Contacts or to remove a previous recipient from the list - not at the present time anyway.

  • How do I delete or close Apps that I no longer want or need?

I need to open up space on my ipad and need to delete apps that I no longer need. I don't know how to do this though! Please HELP!

You press on any app and hold for about 3 seconds. Then the apps will start to shake. Click on the little 'x' on the apps you want to delete.
To close apps, hold down the home button until a black bar rises. Again, hold an app for about 3 seconds and it'll start to shake again. This time, it'll be a '-' sign. Click on that to close the app.

  • How can I delete topic index keywords that are no longer associated with a topic?

I am trying to clean up the index of an older Robohelp project before it becomes part of a merged webhelp project. I do not want to include any of its index keywords or topic keywords. I've managed to remove most of them, but I have a group of troublesome entries that refuse to go away. In fact, they cause RH8 to crash. I am running Windows XP.
Looking at the code in Visual Studio, it appears that an instruction is pointing to field which contains "zero".  (see image below)
I have tried creating a new index and deleting the old index, but RH just keeps adding these topic keywords (in bold typeface) to the new index. If the keywords are no longer associated with a topic, where is RH storing these disassociated keywords? If I open the .hhk, it is empty.

Not sure why RH crashed when deleting a portion of the topic keywords manuall
y from the index pane, but I was finally able to remove them with the Remove Unused Keywords tool. Duh! Thanks anyway!

  • HT203180 How can I delete old rental movies that are still on my iPad, but no longer viewable?

How can I delete old rental movies that are still on my iPad, but are no longer viewable because the rental has expired?

I have a similar problem.  The default answer on the web is to open Videos on your iPad, then touch and hold the movie you wish to delete, then tap the little cross that appears. Alternatively, you can connect to iTunes, select your device in the list, scroll down to the Rentals summary and delete from there.
I have a problem with both of these solutions!  The Video App on my iPad does not contain any video icons, just an option to browse my shared library, so I can't delete it from there... ANd in iTunes, the movie in the Rntals tab on my device summary is greyed out, so I can't do anything from there either.  But the movie is taking up 2.5 Gb....
Can someone please offer an alternative to resetting the device entirely?!

  • How do I delete family sharing from i pad

how do I delete family sharing from my i. Pad air

    Hey Lacey07,
Depending on your setup for Family Sharing, you can either remove others if you are the organizer unless the accounts are for kids that are 13 and younger. If they are 13 and younger, they can be transferred to another Family Share account to then be removed from your account and at that point you should be good. Take a look at the article below to explain further about Leaving Family Share.

  • My new I5 uploaded doubleded all the songs from my library! Please, can somebody help me showing how can I delete just the songs that was doubled?

    Hi there everybody,
My new Iphone 5 uploaded doubleded all the songs from my library! Please, can somebody help me showing how can I delete just the songs that was doubled?
Some help will be greatly appreciate.
    Thanks much!

When you say "account," do you mean your iTunes library, because your iTunes library is what is on your computer?  Your iTunes library does not have an email address.  An account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID (which is an email address) and you use it as your user name to sign in to the iTunes Store, to make purchases.  Changing your Apple ID will not make songs disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you had an Apple ID and used it to make song purchases from the iTunes Store, and then started using a different Apple ID, you should be able to re-download the songs purchased with the old Apple ID.  In iTunes, sign in to the iTunes Store using your OLD Apple ID (and password).  That may not be your current email address, but Apple uses it as your user name, so it does not matter.
On the iTunes Store Home screen, click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS.  This takes you do the Purchased screen, where you can re-download previous song purchases (for that Apple ID) at no cost.
NOTE:  If those song purchases are from more than a few years ago, you may also need to authorize your computer to play (and sync) songs for your old Apple ID.
For songs that were not purchased from the iTunes Store, if they are also gone, you cannot get them back unless you have a backup (or they are still loaded on your old iPod).
If that's not what you mean by "changed the email address on my account," please post back with more details.
