Hello, I want to change to a different type of slide show and I cannot find anywhere to delete the current slide show. How do I do this please?

Just select it and delete on the keyboard. If you are having a hard time selecting it you can select it from the layers panel. Alternatively, just delete the images in the current slideshow one by one and when there is no images it will delete.

The way that you would transfer photos from iPhoto to the iPad would be to sync with iTunes. Connect the iPad to your Mac with the cable and launch iTunes. I am not sure how the iPad will handle a slide show in the photos app that was created on your Mac. You can create basic slide shows on the iPad using the different albums, events or faces that you have in the Photo app, but as for the captioning that you have already set up, I don't know how that will work in the app when you sync the slide show.

I moved about a 1000 photos from iPhoto to a new folder I created in an external drive to save space in iPhoto. How do I create a slide show in the new folder? When I click a photo to enlarge it it goes into Preview mode which enables you to have a slide show. But do I have to click and enlarge all 1000 photos? There is bound to be a simpler way.

I see you are still using Jaguar, is this true?
With Tiger (10.4) you can select all the photos in a folder
control click on the photos and scroll to "slideshow"
You can also select all the photos in the folder
double click on the selection to have them open in Preview
In preview use the option for a slideshow.
This does tell me that you might have a newer version of OS X than what is noted in your specs.
Also, I think there is a limit to the number of photos that will open in a slideshow or preview. It might be around 99 or 150 (I can't remember right now)

I don’t think it’s possible in the slideshow editor but the simplest method is to place your photos in an album and then select the first thumbnail and hit the F11 key. Select the tools icon and choose repeat.

You don't.
Slideshows are exported as movies and these are very large files. Email is not an appropriate medium for very large files as they can cause immense issues for the receiver.
Better to share some other way.

JJMack covers some possibilities, predicated on the embedded player in your Web site.
You might want to look at another pair of Adobe programs, that work well together: Adobe Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements. They are available in a bundle, and, if you do not have Photoshop Extended (up through CS 5.5), or Ps CS 6, or Ps CC, they cost MUCH less.
One can create the SlideShow in the Organizer (sort of like Bridge, but with some differences), then can Send to Premiere Elements for final editing, such as the addition of Narration, or a Soundtrack. From PrE, one can then output to many, many different formats for linking to the player on the Web site.
Now, if you have Ps Extended, Ps CS 6, or Ps CC already, you have video-editing capabilities, but some of the output options (and even Import options), will be limited.
If searching for a program (or bundle of programs), then the Elements duo will do exactly what you need. Also, both of those programs have their own, very active forums, so you will have two communities to offer you support.

It doesn't look like the xml file matches the code. While folks here like to help, there's a point where the effort is fairly time consuming and it becomes doing your design work for you, which is what we normally do for a living. Your best bet will be to find something that has all of the features you want included in it. If you are willing to spend a little money, you can probably find one fairly inexpensive that you can tailor to your needs without having to edit the file code at all.
You can always wait to see if someone else responds.

There is a problem with 1/2 wmv display related to a recent Windows Update kb. The issue is highlighted in the Announcement at the topic of this forum and has been discussed in numerous threads here. For your convenience, the Announcement looks like the following:

MicroSoft has issued an Update for Windows, that is causing problems with Displays. The following is from Talbot McInnis, who tracked down this problem, and offers a fix:
"MS bulliten MS13-057. Specifically, on XP kb2834904 and on windows 7 kb2803821 is causing a problem
For us, it occurs when decoding WMV9 files. Not all uses of WMV decoding are affected, but I confirmed that when connecting the WMV decode DLL to a sample grabber for RGB32 video, the frames arrive black on top, so that points directly to decoding internals of the WMV Decode dll.
You can uninstall these Windows Updates to resolve your problem."
There are several threads on the problem that this Update is causing on the PrE and PrPro Forums, so one can get more details. So far, there is not another fix from either MS, or Adobe.

The general suggestions in the threads have included
a. For now, set up Windows Updates to require notification and your approval before any downloading and installing of them.
b. If you catch the offending Windows Update kb in the Important Updates, right click it and select Hide. That is supposed to keep it gone.
Your problem mostly likely popped up when you selected a route that involved the transfer of the slideshow as a .wmv file. You should be OK after deleting the indicated Windows Update kb. But, consider using the Photoshop Elements Slideshow Editor Output option Edit With Premiere Elements which sends the slideshow over to Premiere Elements in a non wmv format. If you go this route, the slideshow can be broken apart for further significant edits with the Break Apart Elements Organizer Slideshow command.
