How do I delete a standard user off my mac pro?

The standard user account was initially the main administrator account, however I have created a new admin and set the old one as a standard user. I have tried to delete this account but it won't even allow me to select it in order to do this. Does anyone know how to go about doing this?

It's really confusing. I deleted the 'standard' account which was the original admin account, but when I restarted the mac so I can get out of safe mode, the old account which I had deleted showed up for me to log into. It shouldnt be on there since I deleted it, and even when I go back to system preferences, that account is no longer visible. So why is it showing up and asking me to log into it when the account has been deleted. How do I make my new admin account show up on the log in window?

But I can't click on the standard account I want to delete or the minus sign on the bottom because its grey...  Is this suppose to happen?! Is there something wrong with my laptop D: My laptop is pretty new, I got it like 3-4 months ago. I've been trying to look up ways to like fix this but I couldn't find it. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I really want to delete it. Please help! Thank you!

From Accounts: click Login Options (bottom of the User window pane). If there's a check mark infront of "Show fast user switching menu as" it's enabled.

  • How do i delete all my stuff off mu old iPad without a pass code?

how do i delete all my stuff off my old iPad without a pass code?

Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
       1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
       2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
                  * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
      3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
      4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
      5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
      6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
If you have a problem getting into recovery mode then try: RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode.
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

Did you update your Apple ID, or did you create a new one? To change the Apple ID signed in on the phone, see this support document. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311

  • How do I delete my old user completely?

It's more complicated than just deleting a user.
I've just upgraded my Mac to Yose mite and deleted my old User and created a new user.
I went to preferences and Users & Groups and I've checked it, i only see my new user as Admin.
Though when I shut down and turn my mac back on the first thing it opens is my old "deleted" user type in its password and wait a while for it to load then it goes to my new user and i have to log in with that to get to my Desktop Screen.
I've even tried this website (http://support.apple.com /kb/TS3981) and went to where to told me and find my old user but it's not there. I've even went into my User folder and my old user isn't there.
How do I delete my old User so when i turn on my mac and it goes straight to my new user and then i would type in the new users password etc and go into it skipping my old user?
    Please help! Thanks.

Open the Sharing pane of System Preferences and change the computer's name.

  • How do i delete all the music off my iPad mini?

how do i delete all the music off my iPad mini?

    Hello Tami,
Thank you for the question.  You can remove all the music stored on your iPad mini from the Usage section in Settings:
    View usage on iOS
Tap Settings > General > Usage to view the amount of space each app and its content takes on your device.
Tap an app for more detailed information about its usage.
Depending on the app, you may also be able to delete some of the app's content, or delete the app and its content.
After you have tapped on Music in the Usage section, swipe from right to left over “All Music” to get the option to tap Delete. This will remove all the music stored on your iPad mini.

  • How do I delete all the photos off my phone

how do I delete all the photos off my phone ?

    Hi tehdeh,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
There are a couple of ways to do this.  As a precaution, I like to import my pictures to my computer first ... which gives me a backup of the photos, AND gives me the option to delete them after import.  This article explains how:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
If you have synced photos or albums from iTunes to your iPhone, you can remove them that way as well:

Go to the folder in your computer that you previously synced to the iPad, delete the photos you no longer want on the iPad and re-sync.  Alternatively, if it is a complete folder/album, un-check it before the sync.

As a registered developer you have access to the registered developers discussions area and direct access to the appropriate Apple personnel in regards to such a question. Pretty sure app reviews can't be deleted, but this is far from the appropriate place to get an answer for this.
