If you've admin privileges and there are no files in the user account that you want to keep, just go to System Preferences>Users & Groups and unlock it with your admin password. Select the user that you want to delete and click on the minus button. You'll get a warning before you completely delete the user but once it's gone, it's gone.

How to completely delete Photoshop Elements from my computer??

I am trying to completely remove Photoshop Elements from my computer.   So far, I have failed in my attempts to do this.   The reason I'm doing this is b/c for some reason that I can't fathom, the folders in My Pictures -- the folders named by shot date -- contain random duplicates.When this happens, the file names folow the convention of DSC_0222 and DSC_0222-1. Exactly the same file size and metadata. In some folders, every picture is duplicated. In other folders, only selected pitcures within the folder are duplicated.   I can't figure out how they got there -- e.g. it doesn't seem to bear any connection to the photos I've edited, which was one theory I had for a while.   Is Elements responsible? Or is this some sort of bug in the download process from the camera (I have a Nikon D40). Anyway, I've given up on trying to sovle this problem and decided I would go back to the beginning and reload everything from my camera.   So, my real question here is about how to completely uninstall Elements.
Here's what I did:    I uninstalled Photoshop Elements through the Add/remove programs utility. I got no errors during the uninstall process.   Then I completely deleted the My Pictures directory (don't worry -- I have it backed up in multiple places!!).   So, at this point there are *no* pictures on my computer at all.    I reinstall Elements, open it up and -- you guessed it!!! -- the catalog is still there with all the thumbnails of the pictures that i deleted from my hard disk.   Of course, each thumbnail is flagged as "Missing File".
So, how do I uninstall/reinstall Elements and get it to forget all memory of the previous catalog?   Why is it "remembering" it in this way when the pictures aren't even on the computer anymore? Isn't this a bug???
I've been working on this issue for much longer than I care to remember-- if anyone can tell me how to get myself truly back to ground-zero so I can start over I would be deeply grateful.   After upgrading to Elements 9 (from 7) to try to solve this problem I am close to just abandoning Elements entirely.....
WHile we're at it, if anyone has any idea where the duplicates pictures are coming from and how I prevent that from happening, I'm' all ears!!!!

Thanks so much for the response.   So, Help/System Info says that the catalog is here:
Catalog Location: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\My Catalog\
but no such file appaers to exist. In fact, I can only get as far as All Users.   Then there is no directory under that called "Application Data".
i'm still seeing the thumbnails when I got into Elements tho'....   :-(

There were two users on my computer for awhile. I deleted my brother's side when he got his own computer and I keep getting app update alerts. The apps are ones that I know I haven't downloaded, just on his side/user, so I don't know how to get rid of them. It's incredibly annoying that I can't get rid of his profile.

Check inside your brother's HOME Preferences folder for those apps plist files. Trash them & empty the trash. You may want to manually search and/or use Spotlight to find straggler files too.

No need to. Simply connect the new iPod and start syncing it as you did the old one. There is no limit to the number of iPods, iPads, or iPhones you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or account.

Our company has a volume license for CS4 and I am trying to move an employee from one MAC to another MAC. When she logs into new MAC and tries to open InDesign or Creative Cloud they both crash. The other programs are opening up fine. The new MAC has a user that all CS4 programs work fine as well.

CS4 is from LONG before the Cloud... but recent messages that are about Cloud programs indicate that the Apple "migration tool" does not work... you need to do a new install & activation

How can you disassociate a user from a computer in Profile Manager?

Our elementary school manages around 250 Macs. This year, we upgraded all our Macs and Mac Servers to Mavericks. We're now embracing Profile Manager as a replacement for WorkGroup Manager. This has not been a smooth transition. I really like Profile Manager, or at least what Profile Manager purports to be. But, we're running in to really odd issues that we just can't seem to figure out. Specifically, the issue we're having now is that we've noticed that when a student logs in to a Mac, Profile Manager recognizes that student being associated with that Mac. We can push out profile changes to that student's account and, though not perfect, will usually provide the updated settings within moments. However, when the student logs in to a different Mac, Profile Manager now associates that Mac with the student also. So, the next time a payload is sent out, there are two Active Tasks attempting to update each of the Macs that the student has logged in to. This would make sense if the student if the student regularly used both Macs. But this issue persists even when that Student's user account has been removed from the Mac. The student only has one user account on one Mac out of all the Macs in the elementary school, but when we deploy profile changes, it wants to update the student's account on two, three or however many Macs that student has ever logged in to. This is a particular problem for some students accounts who we used for testing and troubleshooting.
I feel like there's something basic that I'm missing, but I just haven't been able to figure it out yet. Any help or advise with Profile Manager would be greatly appreciated!

I joined the Zibzoom.com company they were encouraging everyone to download the zibzoom toolbar so I did but it don't look like it all installed properly. You should be able to find it in the Extensions menu if it's been installed. Click the orange Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Extensions. Remove it from there.

If the app did not come w/an uninstaller, you can manually drag the app to the trash. Also trash all its preference straggler files if any. Or you may be better off by contacting Microsoft for Mac Support and/or post in their forums.

That's because you didn't log out of iCloud on his MacBook.
You have to contact with him. He must go to System Preferences > iCloud, and press "Sign Out" button, at the left side of the iCloud window, so you will have logged out of iCloud on his MacBook
