How do i delete account?

I have created new apple account as i have lost my access to my old email account that i have used to create an apple account. So i was wondering is there any way for me to delete that account. If there is may i know how do i go about doing it. I have also forget about my password for my old account. So i hope that i can hear from someone soon as it has been a long time.

In your admin account, go into the Accounts preference pane and recreate the account, if you deleted it from the list. If you didn't delete it, do so now and then create it again. That will create a new home folder for the user. Then log in as that user and restore the files.

If you delete a mail account all is gone. If your mail account was an IMAP account, then all your mail may still be on the server unless you deleted the mail from the server. If the account was a POP account then your pretty much out of luck.
Your best recourse is to contact your email account ISP and see if they can restore the most recent backup of your account. You may not recover all of your lost mail but you may be able to recover a substantial part of it.

Par for the course with so many companies - "Delete My Account" is virtually impossible to find. How can I delete my Apple account? I don't want yet another account that people can hack and buy stuff fraudulently. Thanks. But really, these companies should be forced to let people know how they can delete accounts if&when they want to.

I wholeheartedly agree. It seems rather pedestrian given that *supposedly* lesser sites/brands allow 'opting out gracefully' at any time - most with the ability to scrub everything clean and start again.
It's annoying enough that Apple fail to contribute much practical help here, but to obfuscate the fact it's also impossible to leave is rather unbecoming to say the least - just see the number of questions on account deletion etc.
So in short then: spending 1000s of $£¥€ or whatever on the 'best tech' on the planet and still no ability to do a basic account closure (or even a trace of Blu-Ray support even)...
Nevermind. Clearly Apple feel that life in "The Village" is just so great that who in their right mind would want to go.

You can't do this, and you can't transfer purchases between accounts. There is no conflict about using one ID for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match (the ID you've been using for iTunes) and using the other ID for iCloud.

I deleted an old Apple ID with the help of a call to Apple Support. However, my iphone is still trying to use the old ID. How do I log out of the old ID and into the new? Or, how can I delete the old ID when it has already been deactivated? (Cannot delete with phone)

At the moment you can't - just remove any personal info from it (e.g. credit card details) and stop using it. If you purchased any content from Apple with it (music, films, apps etc) then you will need to remember the account id and password in case you ever want authorise it so as to use it on a different computer (or the same computer if, for exampel, you upgrade the OS)

If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) i have an ipad 2, a while ago i did some updates and somehow managed to create a new apple id and link my ipad to that. i have logged on to apple and changed my user id and password several times. now every time i try and download an app (or try and delete i cloud) it still comes up with the old Apple ID/Email. Does anyone know how i can delete this icloud from my ipad and put the new one on there? i have called apple support 4 times in the last 2 days and no-one can understand why the ipad keeps showing the old account. I have tried restoring ipad that did noting (didnt even delete photos or anything!)

After restoring you should sign in with your new apple-id. Then the iPad should not know the old apple-id at all. So restore it, set is up as a "new iPad" and you should be good. When restoring from a backup it will automatically restore your old apple-id as that is what was backed up. Also note that if you restore through iTunes, then your iTunes should also be signed into your new account as it will transfer the currently signed-in account to the newly set-up iPad.
If a restore didn't delete photo's or anything, then is wasn't a proper restore for new, but a restore from backup.
Note that setting up as a new iPad will delete all your contents.

Although your profile says you're running iOS 5.1.1 it sounds like you're running iOS 7 (otherwise you would not need your password to delete the old account).
