How do I delete an email account completely off my 4s so I can't see it anymore? I go into settings -- hit mail, contacts, calenders, then in my list i clicked the one I want to delete and there is no delete button on the screen anywhere. This was an email address that was added as spam without my permission. I don't want it on here it keeps sending my contacts spam email. so annoyed...

I figured it out!! It was a VPN profile that was installed by mobiexpressions or something. I deleted the profile which then deleted the email address. I noticed a VPN icon at the top of my screen thought that was weird so searched settings for it, found it, and removed it!! Thanks!!

As James says, make sure that you are using the IMAP servers for your email. You will need to check the help pages for your email provider to get the correct settings in all your devices. POP really doesn't fit the needs of todays mutiple access, always on internet, so you are better off moving to IMAP.

So I have hundreds of unwanted messages showing on my phone but I have not found an option to delete all messages, only individually. When I go to the trash folder on my Stratosphere, I can check individual emails and then hit "Menu" and "Delete", but if I hit the "Menu" button before selecting any e-mails, then I see the "Delete all" button, but it's greyed out, so I cannot select it. There's also a "Restore All" button next to the "Delete all" button, and it's also greyed out. So, currently the only way I can delete the 100's of e-mails in my trash is to put a check mark next to each one, which is painful. Anybody else have this problem or know of a solution?

How do you delete duplicate tracks off your playlist - everytime I connect my hard-drive it adds another of every single track - argh!!!!
I remember there being a 'delete duplicate tracks' option on a much older version of itunes - is this still available and if not if you opt for the 'consolidate library' option will this automatically save to you computer as I have too much music for my laptops memory capacity! You are doing something wrong, iTunes doesn't add tracks to the library unless you ask it to, so there is a problem somewhere in your workflow which is creating the duplicates. For example, having iTunes set up to "Copy files to the iTunes Media folder when adding to library" and then repeatedly adding in a folder from an external drive would do it.
Once you've worked out how to stop creating new duplicates you can look at the issue of deduping what you already have. See this recent post for some thoughts and a script that may prove useful.

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

I have a Droid Turbo, and love it. But I cannot figure out how to mass delete (all) emails from the phone. I use Pop3 to my email.
I know you can swipe individual emails to delete or press and hold on an email to select, then do the same individually to many and then delete, but I cannot find a "delete all" option like my previous Droid Maxx. Because I haven't been able to keep up with it, I have over 999 emails sitting in there with no way at the moment to delete them all unless I spend a few hours deleting each one, one by one.

That is extremely disappointing. If I delete the account from my phone, will it delete all the messages that way? I might have to find a way to delete and re-add the mail into the phone as the current amount of messages is a large bloat to the phone.
Also, where do I suggest this "delete all" be added to the phone? This was on the Droid Maxx and previous versions. It is odd they would remove an option that could cause extreme bloat.

You can only delete them one at a time on the iPad. If you have an IMAP email account, go to your email in on the server using a web browser and select as many as you can at a time and delete them that way. That action will be reflected on the iPad. In IMAP - whatever you do on one device syncs across all devices. If you have POP email - start deleting one at a time.

You could always try the Mark All thing again for sorting. Do the same as before, for delete (come to think of it, do it before you Delete All, otherwise you'll have nothing to sort). Having Marked All, instead of Delete try Sort. Does this make any difference?

These are iMessages only.
He activated iMessage on his iPhone with the same Apple ID that you activated iMessage with on your Mac.
On your Mac, go to Messages preferences.
Under the Settings selection for your Apple ID, deselect your brother's phone number for you can be reached for messages at.
