How do I delete an exchange account without losing my calendar and contacts?

I just switched jobs and kept all of my personal appointments and contacts in my Outlook and iPhone.  I disabled the email from my previous employer but my iPhone isn't syncing my calendar and contacts with my new work email account.  When i go to delete the old email account it tells me it will also delete the calendar and contacts.  is there anyway to delete the exchange email accoumt but keep the calendar & contacts???

We have no way of knowing what format, if any, they would use to send it to you.
Honestly, if you're really hoping they will do so, I think you shouldn't hold your breath... The odds are almost infinitesimal that they would do so. Everything on the server is company property. IT would probably laugh hysterically at any request to pull data out of Exchange to send to a former employee.
I'm not trying to be mean, it's just the truth. If there's no court order, it's not leaving the network. At all...
Besides, if you were not an uber-important muckity-muck, they've probably deleted your account already, which means contacts, calenders, and e-mail are already gone. They won't resort to pulling something like this from a backup.

  • How do i delete an icloud account without a password

I bought a i phone 4s  and i am trying to set it up.  Forgive me if these are obvious questions - i am new to all this.  I have a apple ID/password which i have created, however my current itunes account/icloud account are set up/picking up my old email address which i no longer have access to and dont know the password.  i have tried to delete the icloud account but it says i need a password.  I have tried the forgot password option on apple to which it doesnt recognise my birthday as being the same as their records for some reason, and i cant access the reset email as i dont have this address anymore.
how do i delete an icloud account without a password?
    thanks for any help

you can´t delete an icloud account without using the password.
if you can confirm that your iphone is not locked to icloud device activation with this AppleID your are not aware and you have no access for - you can attempt to "erase all settings and content" on your iphone, to remove the icloud account from your iphone. all your data will be erased and iphone is set to factory settings

  • How do I delete songs from Itunes without losing them in my IPOD?

How do I delete songs from Itunes without losing them in my IPOD? I don't want 11gb of music stored on my computer when I already have it in my Ipod. Anyone have some info?

You can Transfer music manually, then delete the files from the PC without having it sync to the iPod.
    HOWEVER.....
Deleting songs off of iTunes or your computer is a very bad idea unless you have created one or more backup files of all your songs.
Using the iPod as the sole repository of any of your songs is a very risky practice. When (not ‘if’) you need to restore the iPod, return the iPod for service, or it's song files are somehow lost or damaged, you will be re-ripping all your CDs back into iTunes and re-purchasing all your iTMS songs. Restoring the iPod is a common ‘fix’ to many small issues that arise.
If you cannot store your songs on a PC or within iTunes, then you will need to have some storage medium in use (an external hard drive, DVDs or CDs). You should also consider a secondary backup medium for additional safety. Whether you keep your music in iTunes or on an external source – Multiple copies of your music files are a must!
The iPod is really designed to be playback device - not a primary storage device (although it can be used as such), and certainly not as the only storage medium for all your music.
Always backup your PC files: both music and data. Backup as frequently as possible. The usual ‘metric’ is to determine just how much work (hours, days, weeks) or money spent you are willing to repeat by extending out your time between backups. Your choice, your potential headache &/or loss.
Many data-savvy folks have more than one backup and create incremental backups every time they add to or change their Library. Depending on the work I am doing, I may perform several backups during the same day. As they are incremental, and placed on my Backup ExHD – it is a very quick operation to perform several times a day, when needed.
If you are heavily invested in your Library data (Playlists, Play Counts, Ratings, Last Played, Date Added, etc.), then:
it is critical that you also make multiple backups of your ‘iTunes Library.itl’ file.
iTMS REMINDER: While you can always take the time to re-rip the CDs you own to restore your iTunes music, if you lose your iTMS purchased music and have no backups, you will have to re-purchase them. Few exceptions are made to this rule – at least none that I am aware of.
Here is a post on developing a backup strategy:

  • ICloud on my phone, and I want to delete his iCloud account, without losing all my data, including, my apps, contacts, calendar events, music. If I delete his account, will I still have everything saved from before?

My nephew set up his own iCloud account on my phone, and I want to delete his iCloud account, without losing all my data, including, my apps, contacts, calendar events, music. If I delete his account, will I still have everything saved from before deleting his account?? I don't want to lose a single thing...I'm afraid to delete his iCloud account, and risk losing EVERYTHING I have on my phone. Is there another way to save everything without the risk of losing everything from deleting his iCloud account?

Deleting the iCloud account from your phone only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with the account (that is, any data that is set to On in Settings>iCloud).  However, when you delete the account you are prompted about what to do with the iCloud data.  If you want to keep it on your phone, be sure to choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.  Also, be sure to save any photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else before deleting the account.  To do this, open the photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Deleting the account will not touch any other data on your phone (music, apps, etc.).

Your iTunes library isn't deleted when you uninstall it, so uninstall iTunes without worrying about this

  • I have an iPad and and iPhone. They share an iCloud and I want separate iCloud accounts. How do I create a new account without losing any information? I want to keep the original account on one device.

I have an iPad and an iPhone that share an iCloud account. I didn't realize when I got my iPad last year that when I signed up the iCloud on the device that it would share and use 5g of iCloud between the both of them. How do I unsync them and have two separate iCloud accounts? I don't care about sharing between them. When my kids put games on my iPad, I don't want them going on my phone. How do I create a new iCloud without losing any info on the other device?

  • How to setup a local CalDav/CardDav server to synch calendars and contacts

Since it is now not possible anymore to sync contacts and calendars without the cloud I would like to setup and CalDav/CardDav server in my local home (WiFi) network so that whenever my iOS devices are connected to that network calendars and contacts get synched. Is there any good resource (a step by step tutorial preferably) to learn how to do it? Will I be needing a dedicated machine for the server (I just have one iMac and many iOS devices)? Will all my devices automatically be able to sync once they are connected to the local WiFi?

But then I would need to buy another Mac. That seems a little overklill just for a CalDav/CardDav server. Can't I just run a little service on my iMac? As stated above I have only one Mac and I probably wouldn't want to use OSX Server as my day-to-day desktop OS. Or would I?

  • How do I delete an apple account without knowing the password?

My daughter has another persons apple ID account on her phone and we cannot contact the other person to obtain the password to remove their Apple ID on the phone.  Is there any way we can delete/remove this account from her phone without the password?  Any help would be very much appreciated.  Thank you.

If you mean the iPhone is logged into the AppStore or iTunes under
another account, just sign out and then sign back in with your daughter's
    ID.
If you mean the iPhone will not allow any access because it is locked to someone else's
ID, that is a security feature of iOS 7. You must have the other person remove
their account or provide their ID info.

  • How can I delete my icloud account without wifi or sim

Hi my wifi is greyed out so won't turn on, I need to delete my icloud account from my phone, as I am selling it but I also now don't have a sim for it,
Can account be deleted without wifi or SIM card?

Have the new owner force the phone into recovery mode and restore it, as explained here: If you can't update or restore your iOS device.  They will then go through the setup process which includes connecting to wifi.  At your end, perform the steps listed under "If the previous owner is not present" at the bottom of this article: Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account.  Once the phone is erased and you remove it from your account, the new owner will be able to activate it normally using their own Apple ID (they may need to turn it off and on after you remove it from your account).

  • Removing Exchange account without losing its contacts

    Hello,
I used to sync my iPhone contacts (work & personal) through my corporate Exchange server.
I no longer work for the company no have no more access to the Exchange account.
When I try to remove that Exchange account, it says that all contacts will be deleted!
How can I back up (on my PC and/or in Gmail for instance) and continue using these contacts on my iPhone?
    Thanks for your help.
    Luc

The iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients. The email address autofill feature pulls from the contacts or address book and from the list of previous recipients. Different from the Mail.app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients to add a previous recipient to the Address Book or Contacts, or to remove a previous recipient from the list.
The only way to clear the previous recipients at the present time is by restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the iPhone's backup.
You still have access to the list of previous recipients when addressing a message and I seriously doubt there are many that send email to all Exchange contacts or to all company contacts or addresses.

  • How do I disable a mail account without losing the mails?

I would like to disable one of my @me.com mail addresses, so that it is no longer possible to send mails to that account, but I want to avoid losing the mails that have been sent to that account.
Is that possible, and how do I do that?
    Kind regards
    Willi Prochnow Sletten

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Simply move the mail to a folder that isn't associated with that account, before deleting the account from your device.

  • I want to delete an email account without losing my contacts.

Why is this so difficult? I never wanted them associated with the email account in the first place!  I have everything set up to sync by Icloud and it doesn't seem to matter they are syncing with yahoo and if I delete the email I lose all my contacts!

I'm not sure what's wrong with your setup but I have numerous contacts in my Contacts app that originally came from my Mac's Addressbook.  I have a gmail and 3 other IMAP email accounts on my iPhone.  I have all my devices syncing to iCloud and I can add and delete email accounts from my iPhone 5 and it affects the Contacts in no way.
I was having wierd issues when I first setup iCloud with my email and contacts.  I was getting many duplicates showing up in my contacts.  I sign out of iCloud in the Settings, deleted all my email accounts, made sure my contacts were all correct in Contacts app, added my email accounts back as IMAP (instead of POP) and turned iCloud sync back on.  Everything has worked perfectly since doing that.  I love the IMAP setup because when I delete and email on any device it is automatically gone on all other devices.

  • How can I change my iCloud account without losing everything on my iPhone?

When I got my iPhone 4S, I created my own Apple ID with my own information. When my mom got her iPhone a few months later, she used my Apple ID to get it going. I didn't think any harm would come of it, so I let her. But ever since then, she gets all of my iMessages and I get hers. It's really annoying and there's no privacy. I tried asking her to change her ID and get her own, but she doesn't want to. So I figured I would be the one to change even though the information (email address, etc.) on this ID that we share is all mine.
But I'm not quite sure how to do that, and I'm skeptical because I've heard that I might lose all my photos and other saved content. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
iTunes, iCloud, Messages and FaceTime are all seperate services. You could change your ID for Messages without affecting anything else. If you wish to change your ID for iCloud, you would need to save your data, please let us know if you wish to use another ID for more than messages.
