How do I delete an icloud from my iphone without the password?

My ex set up my new phone and now he refuses to give me the password, so I can't update the phone or any of my apps. I created a new Apple ID, but his id continues to show up, for me to sign into things, and I don't have the password. Please help. I would rather not restore to factory settings, because I would lose all of my contacts. If anyone can explain to me how to keep that I would be very appreciative.

I downloaded an app directly to my iphone. I want to delete the app. Usually I simply sync to my PC, and then delete the app from itunes and it is gone when I re-sync.

I changed my Apple ID password due to a phishing email and it started a downward spiral of issues. My original ICloud email address no longer exists. I have tried to sign out/in in itunes that worked but I cannot delete the ICloud account because the field is not editable for apple ID. I tried setting it back to the old email address to turn off Find my IPhone but it will nopt allow because the email address cannot be verified because it no longer exists.

Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. You should then be able to delete the old account. When done, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.

If you are only wanting to reduce the visual clutter and make scrolling through the list faster, you could set up a group on the computer containing only the contacts you want to see on my phone (called, for example, "Show on my Phone") and enable only that group inside Contacts on the phone. You might even have one or more existing groups that you could enable that way (maybe "Family" and "Personal").

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

What I was trying to do though was to mass delete the voice memos from the phone, and I was told that one can do that via iTunes. Problem is that when I do open iTunes, I am not able to locate a TAB thats says ON THIS IPHONE
I was told that one could click on this and then select multiple Voice Memos and delete this way.

is it a movie you have shot yourself or is it one you have downloaded?
if it's a download then you need to uninstall via iTunes, just uncheck the movie and then sync,
if it is one you have shot yourself then :
Tap select top right: tap the video you want to delete: tap the bin.

i realised i have this 200mb of messages this morning & tried deleting my messages but it started to hang half way and my phone gets very hot. thn i do pressed my lock & home button to reset the phone, thn it cool atfer awhile but i got all my messges back lol..

Just delete them. Or, do you mean beyond just deleting them? Then, you'd need to wipe the phone - select Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. That's a secure wipe of the iPhone contents, takes several hours (connect to AC power). You'll need to set your phone up from scratch (and erase the old backup(s) from your computer, since your SMS history is part of the backup).
