How do i delete an "On-The-Go-Playlist" from my ipod

hey,
by mistake i made an On-the-go-playlist and now i would like to delete it...i know how to delete a normal playlist, but inside itunes your on-the-go-playlists don't show up under your source list..so does any one know how to delete them any help would be great thanks!

Im having trouble freeing up some space on my ipod so that I can download more TV shows on it. How do I delete the old stuff?

I use automatic sync, but only checked songs/podcasts. When I had a Classic 160, I synced everything, because I had the space. Either way, my podcasts would be removed from the iPod after I had listened to them, but I don't know if TV shows do that too. If not, you can always uncheck them in iTunes after you are done, and they will be off the iPod, but still in iTunes. You can also manually sync. Instructions for both are in the manual, which you can download here.
By the way, I haven't used my Nano 6th gen for TV, but I've heard it doesn't support video. I know that my video podcasts don't work. Are you using an older Nano?

How do i get my "on the go" playlists from ipod to library.

I have an ipod classic that I manually sync. For speed I make playlists using "on the go" and now have a number of these that I want to transfer from ipod to my library. The only way I can think of doing this is to revert to automatic syncing. When I start to do this I get a warning message saying my ipod will be wiped and only content in the library will be sync'd. Does this mean I will lose any playlist created on my ipod ? Can anyone advise please?

Despite the fiend's confident manner and his curt correction, I believe he is very mistaken about this. I sensed this was baloney and kept looking, to find a thread in which the same is discussed for iPhone, but it worked on my Classic iPod as well. (I don't mean to get overly down on a.f, but one should be careful and try to be sure before telling someon they can't do something that seems like a basic function that should by all reason be possible - Not that all lack of reason doesn't often apply to these products...)

The procedure described here did work for me, but know this: if I hadn't somehow actively saved an on-the-go list long ago (and forgotten,) I never would have known, because although I have been selecting tons of tracks for "on the go," apparently it erases all lists when you power down, unless you do that deliberate save. That's right; c beyond all sense of reason (case in point of above) the iPod does not continue to save selections in one growing on-the-go list unless you save it before shut-off. Saving auto names that list and starts over. So while I would like to have one big list in which to save all songs for future DJ choices, I will have to have a new list for every time I select even one single song before power off, or POOF gone. Wish I'd known that before, I stupidly assumed 100 or more songs were saved cause I never checked.

I guess considering how tedious and dysfuntional this is (also not a first for Apple,) I will find another way to earmark tracks on the fly, like use a star rating which I've never really used with consistency. You might consider the same if you have similar purposes. If you're sitting down and deliberately making a specific list all at once, save it and you should be good to "go."

Is it really 4 complete copies of the same album? Or, is it 4 separate pieces of the same album, each with different songs?
If you have 4 complete albums on the Touch, are you manually managing its contents? If so, connect to iTunes and delete the extra copies. I don't remember if the Touch is affected by this, but if you manually load an album onto your iPod, then make tag changes to that album in iTunes and drag it over again, you'll get a 2nd copy.
If you have 4 incomplete albums, it is likely due to a difference in tag values that should be consistent (e.g. album name). If this is what's going on, check the album to make sure that all songs have the same Artist, Album Artist, Album, and the values for # of songs and # of disks. Any variations in these fields will be seen as different albums by your iPod. If the album has multiple artists, then set the Album Artist of all songs on the album to "Various Artists" and tag all songs as "Part of a Compilation".

I don't believe there is a way to remove it from the Nano. You can remove it from your Menu's via your iPod's Settings.

If you tap and hold down the icon - and the X does not appear on the icon - you will not be able to delete it without totally downloading it. Finish the download and then delete it.

Do you mean photos that were synced from a computer ? The only way you can do that is to import them into your library first, but you may have done that already.
The easiest way to tell is to select a photo from the photostream album in iPhoto and ctrl-click on it, if it gives you the option to import it isn't in your iPhoto library, if it offers you the option to show in library it has already been imorted.

the settings are gone, i guess. But even worse, I cannot get the iPad2 to play Full HD thru the Apple digital AV adaptor using apps that support (and advertise this), like AVPlayer HD. This definiteley used to work before one of the last iOS upgrades. (I am now at 5.1.1).
