How do I delete APPs from my iPad that I no longer want?

I have a couple of APPS that I downloaded and do not use anymore. I tried deleteing by holding down and getting the X on the apps but it will not let me delete.

Did the 'x' appear ? If not then have you got Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps set off ? Also are you sure that they are apps that you downloaded, and not built-in ones that cannot be removed ?

Photos that were synced from your computer using iTunes can only be deleted by de-selecting them from the folder from where they were synced -  and then re-syncing.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
If you want to remove all of the Photos - uncheck the Sync Photos from Heading
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
If you are using iTunes 11 - this will be helpful, Setting up syncing in Windows.

  • How do I delete photos from an IPad that was synced with a Macbook?

Hope someone on here can help!
We own both a Macbook and an IPad.  When we linked them, the IPad brought over ALL (like, around 2000) photos from the Macbook.  I would like to delete these from the IPad, but it won't let me.
Any suggestions on what I need to do?
    Thanks!

  • How do i delete photos from my iPad that were imported from a camera

On a recent vacation, I backed up some 1,100 photos onto my iPad each day.  Now that I'm home, I've imported the photos into Aperture (or iPhoto) from the camera and no longer need the photos on the iPad.
I can't find a way to delete them except:
    one-by-one.  VERY time consuming
importing them into a photo app again, selecting remove photos, then deleting the new redundant photos from the phot app
There must be a better way...

  • How do I delete apps from my iPad

I have downloaded a couple of apps that I wish to delete from my iPad.......how do I do this

    DELETING APPS
Touch the app and hold your finger down until all the apps start to jiggle. You will see a circled "x" in the upper left corner. Tap it to delete an app. When done press the Home button.
You cannot delete any pre-installed iOS app.
If the app is in iTunes, then you delete the app in iTunes. If you then sync with your iPad, the app will also be deleted from your iPad.

  • How do I delete apps on my ipad that aren't showing up on itunes

I have several apps on on my ipad that aren't showing up on itunes.  I want to delete several of them but I not seeing anyway to do it.   Some of the apps were downloaded on my ipad by someone else using their itunes account.

    Hello jimsacto,
This can be done directly on the iPad by holding your finger on the app that you'd like to delete until it wiggles. Once it's wiggling, tap the 'x' in the corner of its icon.
    Apps
    iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the app you deleted again (it depends on where you live).
Tap and hold an app you want to delete.
The apps will begin to jiggle.
Tap the "x" on the app you want to delete.

  • How do I delete photos from my ipad that have been imported directly from a memory card.

I have searched loads of forums and they all talk about using itunes to delete photos, but this seems to only apply to photos that orginated from a PC. The photos I am trying to delete were loaded directly on to my ipad from a memory card and don't appear in itunes. I know I can delete photos individually on my ipad but I have hundreds of them, The only option I have found that comes close to what I want to do is back-up ipad, delete photos I don't want to restore (not sure where to find back up or how to delete), rebuild ipad and restore -  this seems a long winded way of doing something that would take less than a minute in windows. I have an ipad1 and am running windows 7 on a standards Windows PC.
Many Thanks in anticipation that someone will be able to help me
    Regards
    Keith

Photos copied to the iPad via the camera connection kit (and those taken with the iPad or saved from emails/websites etc) should appear in Windows Explorer on a PC so you should be able to delete them from there - those types of photos should make the iPad appear as a camera to your computer. You should also be able to delete them at the end of the photo import process via, for example, the camera wizard.

  • How do I delete documents from my iPad that were added when it ran regular Acrobat, now that it has switched to DC?  The docs are not on the cloud, and DC does not seem to have a delete function for non-cloud docs.

I use an iPad.  It automatically switched me from old-fashioned Acrobat to DC.  How do I delete docs that were put on my iPad with the old Acrobat?  They are not in the cloud, and DC does not seem to have a delete function for them.

    Hi,
By default, Acrobat DC for iOS displays recently viewed files.  You need to switch to other file location (such as Local, Document Cloud, Creative Cloud) to delete, rename, move, or duplicate files.
You can switch to Local, if you would like to see the files and folders that are locally stored on your iPad.
Would you take a look at the following document to see how you can switch to other file location and delete files?
How to manage files in Acrobat DC for iOS
Please let us know if you have additional questions.  Thank you.

  • How do i delete apps from my ipod that have the icloud icon

I have apps that i use to have on my ipod, but now i dont want them anymore what can i do to get them off. right now it has the icloud icon

Touch and hold the app until all the apps start to wiggle. Then tap the circled minus sign by the aps yo want to delete.
Apps that came with the iPod/iOS can't be deleted. You can set a Restrictions which prevents deleting apps.
    You can redownload apps by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not know where you are looking when you say the iCloud icon.

  • How do I delete music from my iPad that my laptop erroneously uploaded?

I was attempting to begin to download some albums and my ENTIRE library downloaded to my new iPad mini. How can I delete it and start over?

I assume you mean when you synced to iTunes? Simply resync with iTunes but this time select the option to "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music." This will deselect the automatic sync settings for the Music, Movies, and TV Shows tabs. Click Apply.

  • How do I delete videos off my ipad that are no longer on my computer

I have some TV shows that I want to delete off my ipad but I cannot seem to use the swipe to the left method. There is a cloud to the right of the button. I have stopped syncing them with my computer, in fact have deleted them from the computer.

If you are seeing a cloud icon, they are not actually on your device, just available to download. If you wish to turn this off: Settings app >  Videos > Show All Videos [turn OFF]. This is also available in for the Music and iBooks apps.

  • How can I delete movies from my iPad that it thinks are in the cloud?

I noticed that I was running out of space on my 32 GB iPad Air running iOS 7.1, so I looked at my pictures and moved them to iCloud and then deleted most of my un-used apps. This did not help in the gaining back a ton of space. So I looked at my videos. I have purchased content from itunes through the apple tv, and have watched some of it on my iPad. It is not clear to me if it downloads those files when I do this or if they are streaming like on my Apple TV.
Anyway, when I hit the edit button in the video section none of the videos display the little "x" symbol letting you know that you can delete them. Instead, all of them show the "cloud" symbol even the movies and TV shows I watched. So I then turned on airplane mode and went back to Videos. I thought no wi-fi = no connection to the cloud = list of videos stored locally. This is where it gets weird. The majority of the "Purchased" items normally shown with the "cloud" symbol were not there, however the videos that I had watched were listed and still had the "cloud" symbol on them. They even played in airplane mode like they were stored locally. The problem occurs when I go to delete them. When I hit the edit button I cannot select these videos, it is treating them as if they are in the cloud even though I know they are taking up space locally.
Is anybody elese having this problem?

Based on previous discussions and in this thread I went to I went to Settings > General > Usage > Storage > Show all Apps > Videos.  My iPad Air indicates no data.  Sync movies and TV are unchecked in iTunes.
iTunes is showing I have 12.61GB of data and 92 videos.
    Any other ideas?
