Hi all! im using the OS XV10.6 not 4 sorry. Anywayz, i tried to delete all data that i dont need to have more free space. However, after i deleted all the files that i dont need, then empty the trash cane, my free space is still the same! I did research and try the "erase for free space" But it is still the same! please help!!! Is there anyway to increase my free space?

Hello, are you using Filevault perchance?
How much free space does it report if you do a Get Info on the whole drive?
Could we be confusing Memory (RAM), with Hard Drive Free Space (Virtual Memory)?

All songs not showing under artists name - even though spelling is the same

I have 8 songs by a particular artist. Only one shows under "artist". I have checked 5 times - spelling-everything is the same for the artist. All of the songs can be found under "songs". I have checked spellings over & over. What could be my problem?

There are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song is marked as part of a compilation or 2) the song has no album name associated with it.
if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. If you are using iTunes 8 and view the multiple items info box the compilations setting is in the "Options" tab. Setting "Compilations" on your iPod main menu prevents you getting lots of single artist entries when you load an album by various artists.
Also if the tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances (for instance I read somewhere that if you have at least two tracks with different album names the rest will appear), however the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous to all the blanks in place of a title. It would appear that your system is somewhat mangled, and it is time for some general 'servicing'.
Start here:
Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two in Tiger, but much longer in Leopard.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

If not, hold down the power button until the screen goes back and you are forced to restart the Mac entirely from the power button (do not respond to any shut down window.

If youre like me, I have so many Apple devices, I always move things over manually rather than remember what to sync and what not to sync........ There’s an option to UNCHECK sync on any device if that helps you in ITUNES.
On any device, like your phone, in ITUNES you can check the option for manual vs. automatically sync.

Ohhh!
All you have to do is to put your iPhone into DFU Mode
Just simply connect your iPhone to iTunes, hold the power button + home button for 10 seconds, later by holding the home screen button continuously (Without leaving it) until it appears to be in recovery mode in iTunes.
You now hit the restore button in iTunes. It will download the latest version of iTunes, which might take a while.
After that, it will install the iOS (51.1) which might take 7-10 min. And you're good to go!

I have the same problem on my notebook but I don't restart. Just do the control, alt, delete and bring up your task manager. Then scroll down to Firefox, end process and close. Now you should be able to restart FF. Not a fix but better than having to restart your laptop.

iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.2) My wife and I were able to log into iCloud when we bought and activated the phones. In the last 2 days, we have not been able to do so. Have reset the password 3 times. Can get into iTunes and iCloud via MacBook Pro. Every attempt to log in via iPhone we get a message saying the password is incorrect. I noticed someone else had a similar problem about 1 hour ago.
