How do I delete data? I cant download stuff?

I need to delete data from my iPad 2. I can't download new issues of a magazine. Screen warning says I have to delete data. I don't power off the iPad routinely so files keep accumulating, I think. I dont want to reformat. What to do?

The simplest thing to do, would be to connect your iPad to your computer via USB and manage your iPad via iTunes Sync. You can remove music, photo's, apps, etc., which will free up space so you can download what you want to download. When you delete via iTunes, you can see exactly what space was freed up and how much space you have left.

I WANT TO DELETE THE DATA FROM MY DOWNLOAD FILE.

In List view, hold shift to delete a range from the first one you click to the last one you click. Then hold down the command key and press delete and they will all go to the Trash as a group (no dragging needed).
Be sure to "Empty Trash" to actually remove them.
The command key can be used instead of Shift to 'pick and choose', adding each newly-clicked item to the developing group.

• How do I delete data (mail, files, photos, etc) from iCloud?

I'd like to stay below 5Gb on my iCloud account. How can I delete data from ICloud once it's there? For instance, once I've transferred files from my iMac to iPad (or downloaded and deleted Mail from both) do these data accumulate on my iCloud account, or can I selectively delete some. A corollary question is whether synched data, such as mail, is automatically deleted from iCloud if I delete it from all synched devices. Thanks!

It appears you cannot delete

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
You have to do it in the Video app, not in the iTunes app.

• How to recover deleted data in os/400

Hi ,
Can anybody let me know how to recover deleted data from a table in os/400 .
Thanks in advance .
Thanks & Regards
Dhaval Raje

Hi Dhaval,
unfortunately this highly depends on the thing you did :-((
In general SAP says (with good reason!): You recover nothing or the COMPLETE DB - otherwise it could be inconsistent. In your cae, that means, you go back to the error case.
For experts RSTOBJ of this table would be of help. But, then you need to know what happened in detail and you need to be familiar with the dependent files like indexes & views.
So, if this is a test system, I would go back to an olde backup, if this is productive, I would ask a good DB2 for iSeries basis consultant. That is a problem, that can be solved.

itunes shows 1800 pictures but my phone only shows 548 and my icloud is full how can i delete pictures i cant see

i saw this under the summary tab in itunes. when you hover over photos at the bottom it shows how many pictures. i don't have it set to sync pics off of my computer files to the phone which is over 6,000 which it said when i clicked on sync photos from but i didn't sync. My phone shows 1.4GB on my camera roll while itunes, under the summary tab of my iphone shows 2.89GB.
i just read this morning to delete photos from the stream which removes them from the cloud and all synced devices. this is why i get confused because i read that on apple.com as well.

How do I delete programs from my download queue? I have some just hanging there in "downloads" that won't download and won't go away.

Thanks, uselesssabotage, but it isn't the app, it's the individual episodes I'm struggling with. I've tried the usual as you describe, no dice.

Whilst downloading a movie, my iPhone ran out of charge. Since recharging the "processing" bar has frozen. How can I delete or complete the download?

I called Apple and spoke with a customer service representative regarding this issue. I was given the two things to try, and if they don't work, I was told I can call back in:
1. Go to iCloud.com and look at the advanced options. Since Photos can be deleted here, the representative thought there may be an option to remove songs here as well.
2. Go into the library that has the songs that were deleted and click Update iTunes match.
I tried #1--this didn't resolve the issue, as there is no option to remove songs this way. I can't try #2 right now since I'm at work, but if anybody else with this issue can try that step it can help us get the ball rolling on it. After I try that, I'll call Apple back to discuss this further.

How to i delete files in my downloads, have several PDF's, this is on droid ultra...thanks

Interesting. On JellyBean and KitKat? Wow.
So the OP should go to the App Drawer, and try to locate a file manager, and if one isn't there, they should download one. Most people need to be able to locate files, and not everything is placed in Downloads.
Jelly Bean, KitKat, ICS, Gingerbread, FroYo, Eclair and Donut Android OS versions. The HTC devices on those versions never had a file explorer installed from the factory. The Galaxy Nexus never had one either. I have used a file explorer app from the Play Store since Eclair and maybe Donut.

• How can i delete data in psa and how can i partation psa?

hi friends,
can i delete data from psa and how can i partation psa?

hi Suneel,

Using partitioning, you can separate the dataset of a PSA table into several smaller, physically independent, and redundancy-free units. This separation can mean improved performance when you update data from the PSA. In the Implementation Guide with SAP NetWeaver > Business Intelligence > Connections to Other Systems > Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer you define the number of data records needed to create a new partition. Only data records from a complete request are stored in a partition. The specified value is a threshold value.

If you are using this database you can also partition PSA tables. You first have to activate this function using RSADMIN parameter DB4_PSA_PARTITIONING = 'X'. SAP Note 815186 includes more comprehensive information on this.
hope this helps.

• How do I delete and then re-download my library.

Over the last three years I have been downloading songs from iTunes mostly from my phone. This works fine 99% of the time, however, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of songs in my library that I have paid for and "downloaded" yet they will not play more than half way through. Some albums have half, or nearly all of the songs cut off, and other albums will only have one song that is cut off. They seem to be completely random occurances, and the one time I singled an album out and tried to delete then download it again, the same songs kept reloading cut off, no matter how many times I tried. The songs appear in the library just like they should, in the right order and everything, and like I said they will play something, but never more than half of the song, and most of the time it's just the opening or a few seconds and then nothing. If I scroll out the track to the part that gets cut, it just jumps me to the next song. The genuis told me to delete my linrary and then re-download it, yet I am a little hesitant as I have no real way of knowing I'll get it back. Is there a specific proceedure for people with my issue, or some kind of iTunes/Library reset i could trigger? Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi, Strayor.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
To verify what you have purchased with your Apple ID, see the steps in the article below. It will give you the option to view all purchases or what is not in your library.
Downloading past purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
The best option would be to just delete only the problematic media verses the whole library and just download what is missing. However, to delete all of your music you would select a song in your music library and select Command+A. From there you would hit the delete key.
How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5772
I would recommend making a backup of your media library as a precaution. Here are the steps on how to process these steps.
iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

Hope this helps,
