If it does not respond when plugged to a computer running the latest version of iTunes, then it is indeed dead and no content will be recoverable.

  • How do i delete everything off of my icloud account that was backed up last year and backup my phone with all of my most recent things on my iphone?

My iphone4s was last backed up in november and I am trying to back it up with all of my current data. I do not have enough storage to back  everything up so I would like to delete the existing data on my icloud and replace it with all my recent data. How do I delete old data off of my icloud account?

The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud.  Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available on the device.  Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
    Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud as well.  Tap Show All Apps to get the complete list of apps and MB used for backup storage.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.

  • How can I delete the "Other" on my MacBook Air HD?

I recently noticed that on my 128GB hardrive on my MacBook Air, there is only about 1.66GB left of space, and that 59.97GB is taken up by "Other". This is really frusturating seeing as I have no idea how to access these files and delete them. I think it might be local back ups from Time Machine, but I have backed up my hardrive to my external drive since i noticed the huge loss of space and I have since then turned off Time Machine but stiill the "Other" is still there. So could someone please help me in figuring out how to get rid of all this excess filler would be fantastic. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me figure this out, its highly appreciated

Local snapshots from Time Machine are in the "backups category".  "Other" is considered a miscelaneous category.  It is made up of everything that doesn't fit in the other, more defined categories.  You don't want to delete everything in there as is contains some important things, such as the operating system, system files, etc.  You can download OmniDiscSweper to find large files.  Also, read these: http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/freeingspace.html, http://pondini.org/OSX/DiskSpace.html, http://pondini.org/OSX/LionStorage.html

If they came with an uninstaller then use that.  Otherwise just delete them from the Applications directory.

  • How can I delete all data from my macbook air?

I'm trying to delete all the personal information from my hard drive, but leave the iOS.  HOW????

Oops -- the Mac's Operating System is Mountain Lion, not iOS.  I will assume you mean delete all your information, but leave Mountain Lion.
To do that, you can reboot your computer holding down the "Command" and "R" keys at least till the Apple logo appears (6 or 7 seconds).  Choose the recovery disk.  You'll then be able to erase your hard drive using Disk Utility and then reload Mountain Lion.

  • How do i delete "other" storage from my macbook air?

The entire storage bar is yellow - although I have many photos and music files - it's ALL yellow

"Other" includes all your personal files.  So you'll have to do your own housekeeping.
