How do I delete extra copies of episodes of a show

When I upload a bunch of episodes, they uploaded double.  I wanted to know how you delete the extra copies of the episodes.

Hello Dgfromok,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iBooks: Tips for managing your iBooks library and storage on iOS devices
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5544
When you delete a purchased book from your iBooks library on your iOS device, you have the option to Delete This Copy or Delete From All Devices.
Best of luck,
Mario

How do you delete extra "sheets in Numbers program? Everytime I start a new document it adds extra sheets..

    Hi Beast,
You might find it easier to duplicate the whole doc and delete the sheets you don't want. Otherwise you are copying and pasting tables from each sheet.

  • How do I get digital copies from my computer to show up on my AppleTV without having my computer on?  Is there a way to get them to appear under purchased?

How do I get digital copies from my computer to show up on my AppleTV without having my computer on?  Is there a way to get them to appear under purchased?

Actually, if you mean Apple/iTunes purchased content, you can go to the content area and go to Purchased... e.g. if you go to Movies > Purchased all the movies you have purchased through iTunes/Apple will appear there... ditto for Music, TV Shows, Music...
for local copies of media, computer needs to be on with iTunes running...

  • How do I delete extra downloads?

Recently I've downloaded the iTunes Store HD episodes special offer, you know the Office, 30 Rocks...
I've got one more extra SD episode for each show, this is helpful to others but not me.
How do I get rid of those without downloading the whole SD episodes?

    Hello,
Keep in mind that only the SD version can be synced to an iPod or iPhone, so, if you have intentions of every doing this, you'll need the SD version and not the HD version. You should be able to cancel/delete the download, though, if you really, really don't watch the episode. (Remember that there's no guarantee you'll ever be able to download the SD version at no charge to you in the future). If you select the item in your Download Manager, you should be able to click your Edit menu and choose Delete, or hit the Delete key on your keyboard. From what I understand you can't really right-click on items in the Download Manager anymore with iTunes 8.
    Hope this is helpful

  • Accidental copying of files. How do I delete the copies?

I was organizing some files on my laptop, when my mouse inadvertently dragged the "Documents"  files into the "Picture" files in the navigation pane, which are located right on top of each other.  After all of my documents were copied over to the Pictures file, I tried to Ctrl + Z the issue, but to no avail.  I also tried to drag the files from the pictures folder to the documents folder, but that would not work because the computer recognizes that the files that I am dragging over to the documents folder are the same.
How do I get rid of the extra copies without completely deleting them all?
    I am running Windows 7.

  • How can I delete multiple copies (600 ) of the same contact that ended up on my iPhone after backing it up on iTunes?

In syncing my iPhone 3GS on iTunes, I now have many copies of the same contact -over 1,000 in one case-on my iPhone.  How can I delete these multiple copies without doing it one by one on my iPhone and how can I prevent it from happening again?  I have Outlook Contacts and MSN contacts -- iTunes is supposed to be syncing to my Outlook contacts, but I don't have multiple copies of any of my contacts there.  HELP!  Thanks!

The cause was probably a USB glitch during a sync or when copying. The music resides on the phone in separate files. A master file contains a database with an index to the music, an entry for each track and a "pointer" to the file containing the track. Somehow the index got corrupted with duplicate entries. It's likely that the music itself wasn't duplicated, but some tracks had more than one entry in the database. I've seen this happen when syncing (rather than manually managing) also. In my case deleting the track from the Music tab in iTunes, syncing, then adding it back fixed it.
A related problem I've seen is an album may be split, with some tracks in each of 2 or more album entries in the listing. Fixed the same way.

  • How do I delete just one season of a tv show on iPad 2 running iOS 7?

Hi, since upgrading to iOS 7, I've been having two problems with the video app. The first, and more minor problem is that if I tab out of the video app while watching a show, and then tab back in, it doesn't open to the show I was watching, but rather to the 'home page' of the video app, so that I need to navigate back to the episode I'm watching.
The second, much more annoying issue, is that a can no longer seem to delete just one season of a tv show. If I go to the TV section of the video app, I can press the 'Edit' button and remove an entire tv show (all the seasons on my iPad). I can also go into a season and delete episodes individually by swiping left to right (though this seems to make my app crash back to the home screen - a third issue!). However, on the show's page in the video app (where all the downloaded seasons are listed) I can't find a way to delete just the one season. There is no 'Edit' button that I can see on the page, and swiping left to right does nothing.
Any help on this (these) issue(s) would be much appreciated!

Ok this is even harder than I first realised! If multiple seasons of one show are downloaded to the iPad and I click on the 'edit' button, the show with multiple seasons can't be deleted at all. No cross appears in the top left corner of the show's icon.

  • How do I delete a Gmail folder which doesn't show in the Subscribe list?

I have a folder in my Gmail Inbox which I can't delete using either Delete, and which isn't showing up in the Subscribe list. How do I delete it? It doesn't exist in my online Gmail account. I get an error message that the Gmail server can't delete an 'unknown source folder'.

Correction: the folder I can't delete is in my Tbird Inbox.

  • How can I delete extra returns in my document?

When working in Pages I will sometimes copy and paste from the internet. It will be single spaced lines. Then I will hit 'return' to say, begin a new paragraph, and it double spaces and leaves a one line space between the previous text and the new I type. I have tried making the entire document "Line Spacing - 1" but it still does it. Does anyone know how to adjust? For example:
Debriefing can serve as an opportunity to reflect on an experience and make it meaningful by identifying what we learned about ourselves and others. The technique of debriefing is useful for group members following the completion of an activity or event.

    mel,
One way to approach the problem is with Find and Replace.  Start by Saving your document in case anything goes wrong.  Next,  View > Show Invisibles, if you don't already have invisibles showing. Then Command-F to bring up the Find and Replace window.
Next, click to set your insertion cursor right at the end of the sentence before the extra space in one of your blocks of text. Hold down the shift key while you click the RightArrow twice to Select the two "New Paragraph" markers.  Then, Command-C to copy them.
Set your insertion cursor in the Find field and Command-V.
Then set your insertion cursor in the Replace field and Command-B and delete one of the two characters.
    Now, click Replace All.
Your extra lines should be gone.

  • How do I delete multiple copies of songs on my iPhone when my laptop's iTunes only has one copy of each?

    Hi, everyone.
I've seen many versions of this question, but mine has some key differences.
The problem is that my iPhone 4S has multiple copies of almost every song that I've selected to copy from iTunes. The easy answer is to delete all the music from the phone and then re-sync from the iTunes library, except that I don't sync, I manually manage, because I have a 9000 song iTunes library. According to iTunes on my laptop, I have 835 songs on my phone, but there are actually over 2000 on the phone due to the duplicates. The fact that the duplicates do not show up in the iTunes library means I also cannot use the "Show Duplicate Items" tool.
I'm thinking that the only two solutions are:
    1. Manually slide and delete all 1200+ dupes on the phone
    2. Delete all music from the phone and then go back through the library and cherry pick what I want on the phone. This seems okay, but I don't know why this happened, so I'm afraid it will happen again.
I'd be thankful for any advice!

  • How do I delete multiple copies of a SMTP server under iOS 7.0.6 on an iPhone 5S?

I have a conflict in trying to set up email using the iPhone mail application.  I had to change the password for the email account, which was done via the host's control panel.  I am able to send and receive mail (POP) via the computer and logging in through the provider webmail.  I have deleted the mail account multiple times on the iPhone and keep getting an user authentication error when setting up as new.
The only was to fix this was to revert back to the password originally in use prior to the change.  The provider was watching the log files as I tried to change the settings on the iPhone and also was seeing the user authentication error when using a new password.  Once I changed it back to the old password, all worked fine.
They think that because there are now multiple instances of the SMTP server listed, that the login is actually pulling the info from the old SMTP server info, even though all the others are turned 'off' in the settings.
I can find no way to permanently delete all the instances of this SMTP server so that I can set the account up as totally new.
    How do I do this?
    Thanks.

All of the sudden, my itunes digital copy movies are on the iPad (were not before upgrading), and there is no button to delete them.  They are not set to sync through iTunes, and i cannot get rid of them.
Are you sure they are on the device?  Sounds like they are just in iCloud. Do they have a cloud icon next to them?  If they do they aren't on your device and as such not taking up space.  If you don;t want to see them you can go to Settings->Videos->Show All Videos and turn it off. This will hide all your iCloud movies from the videos App. but again they aren't really on your device.

Lastly, with the new Video app, how can i get it to list the name of the movie on the listing screen under the picture?  I have to tap a movie to find out what it is.  I NEED to be able to see the movie names without having to touch each one individually.
    Thanks.
Unfortunately that's not something you can change. To see the titles you need to tap on the movie. I guess Apple assumes the cover art already has the name so there is no need to repeat it.

  • How do I delete one of my episodes on my podcast?

I use "feedburner" to submit my feed (.mp3's) to iTunes, and recently it unfortunately loaded a ".pdf" (that was in my blog) that I did not want to be uplodaded to iTunes. How do I go about removing it? I'm not sure if I can go somewhere into iTunes and manage my podcast from there and can't seem to find a way to change it on "feedburner", any suggestions?

You can't do anything in iTunes: it just reads the feed, so you will have to remove the episode from the feed. Presumably you created your podcast in some program, and then submitted the feed it creates to Feedburner. I wouldn't have expected Feedburner to add anything itself, so you will need to remove the episode from your blog and republish.
it sounds as if you are mixing podcast and non-podcast episodes in your blog: this isn't a good idea and can lead to problems. Episodes with no playable media will not appear in iTunes; but for some reason PDFs are acceptable. So if you have an episode with a PDF in it as an 'enclosure' it will show in iTunes.

  • How do I delete extra spacing between paragraphs?

I have created a PDF but when I edited some sentences, it left extra spacing between paragraphs.  How do I adjust the format so it is double spaced and how do I get rid of the extra spacing?

You don't, to be honest. Editing a PDF is a desperate last resort, for when the original is lost, cannot be had for any amount of money, and the backups were eaten by termites. So there is no situation ever in which you should be editing a PDF you created. Rather, make the correction and remake the PDF. Sorry to be blunt, but it's best to really understand how desperate you have to be to edit a PDF.

  • How do you delete a SINGLE podcast episode?

ok, so say I've downloaded ten episodes of a podcast, but want to delete one of them...what do I do? in itunes, they all show up under 1 icon and if you delete the icon, you delete ALL of them and I just want to delete one.
    Any help would be appreciated

Make sure you're using the list view. Click on the expansion triangle next to the name of the podcast. At that point you should see each individual episode. Highlight the one you want to remove and press delete.
    Best of luck.
