How do I delete facetime beta in Lion
I was just wondering if anyone had any idea how to delete the facetime beta in Lion. I would like to update to the actual app instead of the beta but I can't figure out how to delete the beta in order to do so. Any thoughts? Thanks

You have to figure out where it is being launched from. The standard locations are your user/Library/LaunchAgents, user/Library/LaunchDaemons, or user/Library/StartupItems. In the first two, it will be a .plist file. In the third, it is a folder. They will be named with the company, program name, or both.

There's nothing to fix, you're not understanding. I was not suggesting to delete the contact entirely, just remove its "Favorite" status and re-add it as a Favorite but this time designate it as a "Voice Call" instead of FaceTime.
I think people get confused when using the FaceTime app they set up a "FaceTime Favorite", not realizing that doing so adds that contact entry to your phone's Favorites too, but as a FaceTime contact. Either that, or when adding a Favorite from within the phone's contact list, they inadvertently select FaceTime as the way to contact the person. -

Right Click or Control Click FaceTime Icon in Dock > Select Options > Make sure Open at Login is unchecked
You can also do this by removing FaceTime from "Login Items" found in:
System Preferences > Users & Groups > Your User > Login Items ( Tab ) > Highlight FaceTime then tap minus.
Right Click or Control Click FaceTime Icon in Dock > Select Options > Remove from Dock
Or you can Remove the icon from dock by dragging it off.
Note if FaceTime is Running it will show in the Dock, even if you choose Remove from Dock.
If this is the case the only way to remove it is to quit the app.

After upgrading to OS 8 on my iphone 5, suddenly all my contacts had Facetime capabilities. I only want to FT with a few people Unwanted FT calls now ring on both my iphone and ipad. I tried to edit and delete FT capabilities in both Contacts and Facetime icon, but there is no field to delete for this. How do I delete Factime from my contacts list? thanks for any help with this.

Thank you for your suggestion. I backup on itunes. I went to itunes, deleted syncing my contacts, then re-synced them. But the Facetime capability option continues to be there on most (not all, for some curious reason) of my contacts. I am not sure I posed my question correctly. I want to be able to FT with my family, so don't want to delete the FT capability totally from my iphone and ipad. But I don't want all these other iphone calls from various contacts to ring on my ipad as FT calls. I want a way to select with whom I have FT capabilities. Any further suggestions? How do i delete bbLaunchAgent.app process from Blackberry desktop manager in lion? This process prevents my MBP to go to sleep on idle as set in preferences. Unlike other Lion sleep problems, my MBP does go to sleep if i do it manually. I also noticed that my battery is going down faster than usual, at a rate of about 1% in 5 minutes with only safari running, without keyboard backlighting. I have removed Blackberry desktop manager using it's own uninstaller from the .dmg file and trashed folders associated with "rim" or "blackberry" but this process still runs and i can't even force quit it. Any help?

Kayleen BIf you downloaded and installed it, and you made no backup, then you'll have to erase it and re-install another OS.
You can't uninstall an OS, it's not an App. It's an OS. It's not the same thing as an application, like Excel, that runs on an OS.
It's always prudent to make and keep a backup. -

You can't delete it.
Why do you need to? Why can't you just work with your documents like everyone else does, by opening iWork software on your Mac and using File > Open, etc to see your docs that are in iCloud? Why would you need to use your browser? -
How do I delete an extra Apple ID in Lion?
I just upgrade and it seemed to me that the final set up was telling me I needed a new ID that was also an email address so I fillowed the instrucitons and set one up.
My first time having to Log In (adding phonenumbers) my LastPass auto filled my old ID and it worked so I know that I have two active ones not that my new one replaced the old one.
