How do I delete iPhoto video?

When I open iMovie I get an old iPhoto video in the Event library. Must be a mistake made when I first got my camera and certainly don't want. I can't find it in iPhoto; how do I delete it? It's driving me mad!

I assume you are talking about iPhoto rather than iMovie that you reference
I'm not sure how to reconcile "I get an old iPhoto video in the Event library" and "I can't find it in iPhoto"
if it in the iPhoto library in an event drag it to the iPhoto trash and empty the iPhoto trash
If it is not "in the Event Library" then make a smart album with keyword = movie and select the move in the album and depress the option (alt) and command (apple) keys and press the delete key
Do not delete it from the iPhoto library using the finder - never make any changes to the iPhoto library using te finder

How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream in iCloud?
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices."

  • How can I delete the video and keep the Audio  in a few frames using Imovie 11

How can I delete the video and keep the Audio  in a few frames using Imovie 11?

I've met the problem too before. but i solved it with  Audio Converter Mac instead of iMovie. If you have similar situation that just want to keep audio but not video, and if your file format is not workable in iMovie, you can use the Audio Converter for help too. it can easily help to extract audio soundtrack from any video format. Or if you need to convert one audio format to another, it is a good choice too, because it supports many common audio output formats.

  • How do I delete pics/videos from my iPhone 4

How do I delete pics/videos from my iPhone 4 if it is not even able to do a restore/backup? A couple days ago I received an alert on my phone that said something like, "You cannot make or receive calls. Connect to iTunes to restore." I connected to iTunes and backed up the phone then started the restore. Before the restore could begin it ended the process and said, "Something is wrong with your iPhone please contact support, Apple Store etc". The Apple Store could not even complete a restore. I have since got a new iPhone but, I want to sell the old phone and I am afraid all my info/pics can be retrieved. Is there any other way to delete all of my pics, videos etc?

  • How can i delete a video in photos of ipad 2? there is no delete icon!

How can i delete a video in photos of ipad 2? there is no delete icon!

They are deleted in the same way as photos, which are deleted by : only photos/videos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/wesites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo/video in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view. Photos/videos that were synced from your computer are deleted by removing them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing.

  • How can I delete hidden video files from the iPad?

How can I delete hidden video files from the iPad?  These files were created on my MBA and when I changed the media type to iTunesU and then copied it to my iPad via iTunes, they did not appear.  I can see them using 3rd party software, but they don't have delete functionality.
    Thanks
    York

Interesting note:  I can see the files when I use the search function, but when I tap either file, I return to my home screen.  The video does not open.  I can transfer the file to my MBA, and it plays fine, but I cannot figure out a way to delete them.

  • How do i delete imovie videos and still have them on my time capsule

how can i delete imovie videos and still have them on my timecapsule

You can copy them to the TC.. do not expect Time Machine to keep something that you delete though..
And please recognise you are breaking the idea of Time Capsule.. it is primarily a backup target for TIme Machine.. once you move files to the TC and delete them on the computer.. the only copy of the file is now on the TC.. which has no automated backup.. no easy means of recovery if the drive fails. no parts even.. Apple do not fix.. they give you a replacement and chuck your old one.
You are hoping that the TC will preserve your files.. when it is well known to be a less than reliable device.
Think hard if this is really where you want to go.

  • How do I delete a videoe

How do I delete a video off my iPad completely? When I've tried in the past it just goes to iCloud but I just want to get rid of it.

If you have it synced in iTunes, delete it in iTunes, then sync the device. Same with iCloud.
If you just want to make more room for other apps in your iPad, go to the Videos app, tap on Edit, and remove from there.

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

  • Re-import a deleted iPhoto video to iMovie??

    Hi,
I've posted here before about discrepancies in the date and times of some iPhoto Video as shown in the iPhoto Video library of iMovie '09.
I've manually changed the dates in iMovie of some video and this corrects the issue. However, there are far too many clips to do them all manually.
Also, while attempting to find the cause of the incorrect dates I deleted an iPhoto Video from the iMovie library. iMovie has scanned iPhoto for new video several times, but does not re-import the clip.
Can anybody tell me how I can re-import that clip to iMovie?
How can I correct the dates of the other video?
I thought of deleting all the iPhoto videos in iMovie and when I restart iMovie it would scan for them again, but I am worried that it will not import them again, like that clip I mentioned.
    Can anybody help?

    Everyone,
Thanks so much for contributing to this topic and making effort to answer my questions. I called Apple to inquire about this and I have a couple of suggestions that were given to me that may be of some help.
Two solutions were given to me:
    1) As QuickTimeKirk stated earlier, .mov or .(whatever else might go here) is only a container for other files. So .mov is not the problem or the unreadable file for Imovie, but whatever other file that may be contained in the .mov container is the problem. Therefore, you may have to obtain a 3rd pary converter. They suggested something like flipformac or quicktime pro. I don't know how hard or easy it may be to work with a converter and I am somewhat on a schedule so I opted for option #2.
2)Download Imovie HD 6 for free, create your project therein, and then export it to Imovie 8 if you wish. Imovie 8 has a tutorial on how to do this if necessary. To download Imovie HD 6 visit http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/imovieHD6.html.
I hope this helps and thanks again!

  • HT204370 iPad is full, how do I delete a video so I can download more?

iPad is full, how do I delete videos so I can download more?

You can press and hold a film or tv show on the selection screen in the Videos app and after a second or two you should get an 'x' on its top left corner, tap that and it should be deleted. Have you got copies of them on your computer's iTunes (File > Transfer Purchases) ? Films and TV shows can't currently be re-downloaded in all countries, and even where they can be there is no guarantee that they will remain in the store for future re-downloading.

  • How do i delete a video from my phone

Hi, i want to delete a few videos from my phone in order to free up space. I went to my photos app, i clicked on albums, clicked on videos, and i even selected them, but my garbage icon is not highlighted, not letting me delete videos. I cannot access them from my videos app. How do i delete them? thanks,

How did they get on your phone? If you synced them via iTunes, you'll have to de-select them, then sync again to get them off your phone.
