How do i delete iTunes Match and revert to iTunes without it?

My library, multiple devices and the music on my iPhone have all become corrupted since paying the money, subscribing to iTunes Match and turning it on. It has caused sync problems, hanging problems with iTunes that is constantly needing to be reset and now I have had to restore my iPhone four times!
I give up. I'd now like to delete it all and get a refund.

There's nothing to delete. Just pull down the Store menu > Turn Off iTunes Match. You'll need to contact iTunes Store support for a refund.
Also turn it off on the iOS devices.

Everyday I get to work and open iTunes. Everyday the iTunes Match logo next to my library is constantly working and never stops. The only way I can have access to my iTunes Match library is to "Turn Off iTunes Match" and "Turn On iTunes Match" immediatly after. It checks libraries and then everything is available.
Is there a reason and a way to have my iTunes Match to work as soon as I open iTunes?

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately that did not work for me. I turned off match and let it sit for over 3 hours and music never disappeared. I made sure to turn off auto-lock so the iPhone/iPad didn't go to sleep and neither device ever cleared out the music so I just restored from iCloud backup.
Now the other thing thats strange is I still have autolock turned off and both devices are sitting on the music app and on my iPhone I have the cloud icon going with the status bar and took 3 hours to get it complete the first time and then someone called me and foolishly answered the phone and then it started all over again. On my iPad I don't see the cloud icon but i have the spinning wheel going in the corner for almost 24 straight hours now. I have all my music/artwork back but none of my playlists so I am going to let both these devices sit until the spinning circle stops.
I do have a large library of just under 25,000 songs so maybe thats why its taking so long but I haven't had this issue before iOS 5.1 and iTunes 10.6.

How do I uninstall itunes 11, which I find a chore to use, and revert to itunes 10? Is it possible? Or should I just get on with it?

The main differences between iTunes 11 and earlier versions are the loss of coverflow and ability to have multiple windows open.
In Windows, you can restore much of the look & feel of iTunes 10.7 with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album (Grid) view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
With iTunes 11.0.3 and later you can enable artwork in the Songs view from View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) making it more like the old Album List view
View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) also contains options to change the sorting of grid based views
N.b. iOS 7 requires iTunes 11.1 or later. Do not downgrade iTunes if you have already upgraded your devices... Roll back of iOS is not possible.
If you feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

ITune Match and "others" in iTunes

Hi all !
I have noticed using iTune match and playing "streaming" songs was responsible for most of my "others" on the phone in iTunes.
It grows up to the point were my iPhone will tell me to watch out for storage the iphone being allmost full.
Appart from erasing all music and downloading the one I want again on the iphone (wich is a PITA), is there any other solution ?
What will happen if I deactivate iTune Match on the phone and activate it again ?

Keep in mind that iTunes Match is not a streaming service per-se. To get music from the cloud, your iPhone has to download it. If you select a song to play, it's getting downloaded in the background, and it won't do that on 3G unless you've enabled it in your settings. By default the iPhone is set so Match downloads won't happen on 3G
For what you are doing, I think you need to put on the iPhone the music you think you will want to play in the car (you can always change it). I'd suggest you use WIFI to download the music, as 3G is going to eat up your data plan.
Once you've got the music downloaded, go into the settings for your iPhone and toggle the music view settings so you only see what is on the iPhone. See if trying your USB setup in the car works then. If not, next step would be to keep Match turned off while you're driving, only turn it on for the purposes of refreshing what you've got on the phone.

You don't have to use the Podcasts app. If you delete it and sync to iTunes on your computer via USB the podcasts will appear back in the Music app. You can delete them there.

Go to Settings > General > Usage, select Music, then Edit. There will be a delete option there. It may take a few minutes to delete if you have a large collection on your iPhone.

If the tracks were not in your iTunes library on your computer when you subscribed to match, I am afraid that they are lost. Do you have a separate back up of this music?

How do I separate my friend and me from iTunes match?

In trying to do my friend a favor, I downloaded all her CD's onto my computer into what I though was a separately created iTunes library. I put all the downloads in a folder on my desktop. I dragged the contents of the folder to an external hard drive. I then downloaded the contents of the hard drive onto her computer. We have separate iTunes accounts. When we each open iTunes on our respective computers, with iTunes Match turned on, we both have each other's music as well as our own - sort of a yours, mine, and ours situation. We don't want access to each others' music. I have tried turning off iTunes Match, trashing out her iTunes folder, several times, and re-downloading her music from the external hard drive. It still turns out the same. How do I fix this so we each have our own music and iTunes Match ? Thanks so much. Starting over seems like the right approach.
1. Delete all contents from both your iTunes Match collections.
2. Clean up your computer, removing all references to any of her music. (You can keep references to your music.)
3. Clean up her computer, removing all references to all music.
4. Use her computer to download her CDs. Do not use any external hard drive, previously existing folder, etc. Simply download the CDs into her iTunes. Period.
5. Populate your iTunes Match from your iTunes. Validate it only has your stuff
6. Populate her iTunes Match. Validate it only has her stuff.

Thanks so much for your help. I took the time to go through all the songs saved on my Time Machine backup drive used by the older machine and drag those music files I want to keep. Now I'm using an old hard drive to backup up the entire iTunes folder on the old Mac to be able to keep those files until I'm sure I have all that I want.
Everything is now in iTunes Match and my iPhone seems to have sync'ed successfully. Now I'd like to delete those files stored in iTM from my hard drive and just keep them in the Cloud. Is this a good idea? I'm thinking I can save a lot of hard drive space.
My iPhone does have Match turned on. So I should be able to keep everything sync'd just by using iTunes Match, right?

It depends upon what preferences settings you use. Most people use default settings so when you delete an item it asks you if you want to get rid of the file too.
If iTunes absolutely refuses to get rid of the file (I have never heard of this by the way) you can always go to the media folder or wherever the file is located and drag it to the trash yourself.

Iphone will sync with one and only one cpomptuer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer. This is the design of the iphone.
It will erase the content when you sync.
Why not update from the comptuer with which you normally sync?

I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

When you are done with this issue, consider the computer back at the office may still
have access to your iTunes account, and it should be de-auhorized. You can do that
remotely, but be sure you carefully do not mess up your other computer iTunes libraries.
