How do I delete my "pre-entered" iCloud password from other devices on my account?

I set up "Find My iPhone" on my kids' phones by logging into iCloud on each device.  But now, my iCloud password is now "pre-entered" (but not shown) onto each of their devices.  How do I delete the password so that no one can log into my iCloud account?  If one of their phones were stolen and someone figured out their 4 digit passcode (not that difficult) that person would have access to my iCloud account and could just turn off the "find my iPhone" feature.  What am I missing???

You can set up a restriction with a different passcode by going to Setting>General>Restrictions>Accounts (near the bottom) and setting it to not allow changes.  This will prevent access to the iCloud setting without turning off restrictions with the passcode, but it's still a 4-digit passcode and can be defeated by forcing the phone into recovery mode and restoring it.  (This would erase the phone, however.)
If you do enable restrictions, be sure to write down the passcode.  If you ever forget it, you cannot turn off restrictions without restoring the phone as new, without using a backup made while the restrictions passcode was set on it.

  • How do I delete an app in iCloud storage from my iPad?

I'm trying to delete the gmail app from the I cloud so I can download it again fresh.  I want to change the primary gmail account on the app and I can't figure out how to do it, so I figured I'd just re-download the app and make sure I sign into the app first with the gmail account that I want to be the primary. I feel like a real idiot but I need to know how to do this.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I think I may need to clarify. I already erased it from my iPad but I can't erase it from the cloud using my iPad....  When I re-download it without erasing it from the cloud it still has the same primary email saved. It won't let me change it. I have to completely erase it from the cloud so I can fully erase all the saved data.

  • How can I delete a Note in iCloud on only 1 device?

I have 3 devices on iCloud with Notes on - an ipad mini, an ipod touch and a macbook. I need to send my ipod in for a new battery and want to temporarily delete all my notes (some have passwords etc.) on it, but still leave them on the other 2 devices. I've tried various pemutations of switching icloud notes off in the settings on my devices, but they always seem to synch ie if I delete a note on my ipod, it also gets deleted everywhere else.
    Anyone any suggestions?

Perhaps you should check out an application called 1Password available for both OS X and iOS. If you're keeping passwords, account numbers and other sensative data in the Notes app you should be concerned.

  • How do I delete my Twitter username and password from iPhone 4?

I upgraded to iOS5, and when i was setting it up I put in my username and password but I thought it was just for the App and not in the settings of the iPhone itself. Every time I delete the account under setting, it comes back! Why?
I do not have the official Twitter app, I use Echofon.
And every now and then my Twitter account comes back to the setting after i delete it. I really want it gone for good from the iPhone's setting.
Can you please help me? And please provide instruction, they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Try this, I did it on an iBook that someone gave to me because it was slow.
    1. Reboot
    2. Hold apple key + s key down after you hear the chime. (command + s on newer Macs)
    3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
    mount -uw /
    rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
    shutdown -h now
    4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and your good to go again!
Apple stores wont reset it for you. Computer shops may charge you $50 to $200 trying to reinstall the Mac OS and failing at end.
NOTE:  This will not work with the classic OS, only OS X.
What this does is tricks the Mac into thinking that OS 10.? was just installed. It will play the intro video and then guide you through setting up your new account.

  • How do i stop automatic downloads of tv shows from other devices

If i buy or download a tv show on another device such as apple tv or an ipad, how do i stop it from downloading automatically when i open up itunes in my IMAC?

There is no way to designate one specific purchased item to not auto-download and remain in the cloud, but you can specify certain kinds of purchased items like videos, music, books, etc.
In iTunes > Preferences > Store Preferences on your computer, make sure to uncheck "Always check for available downloads" and "Automatically download pre-orders".
Initiate the purchase on a device other your computer. The simplest way would be to initiate the purchase on a Apple TV, as those purchases will now remain in the cloud and not auto-download to iTunes on your computer.

You can't delete an existing account, you can only choose to stop using it.  It will still be there should you decide to use it again in the future.

How do I delete photos in the icloud and have them stay gone!

The only way you can do that is to import them into your library first, but you may have done that already.
The easiest way to tell is to select a photo from the photostream album in iPhoto and ctrl-click on it, if it gives you the option to import it isn't in your iPhoto library, if it offers you the option to show in library it has already been imorted.

I bought a used iPhone and found him email iCloud does not affect me so how can I deleted this email in order to use the device freely and privacy
    help me please

You can't. Return the phone for a refund, if you can, because without the previous owner's Apple ID/Password, you will not be able to re-activate the phone. It will be useless to you.
Apple can't/won't help you with this.

on a macbook air, how do i delete a photostream in icloud?

A PDF is a PDF.  If it is an app then it isn't a PDF unless it is an app that is supposed to install the PDF somewhere in which case I wouldn't trust it.  From where did this originate? If it is some unknown web site there are plenty with fake links that say you are downloading one thing but they send you another in hope that you will blindly install some malware.  Usually they target Windows users but there's getting to be some for Mac (in particular MacKeeper).

  • My iPhone is requesting to sync with icloud, but it is using on old ID and password. How do I delete the old ID and password?

My iPhone is requesting to sync with icloud, but it is using on old ID and password. How do I delete the old ID and password?

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
