Lol! I'm not cheating on anyone, never have... I just delete multiples of calls so my phone doesn't get too filled up.. But I'm also guessing now that I have an iPhone and not an htc I won't have a space issue. Thanks very much!!

In general, one doesn't.
I suggest you create a new folder (I use "Trash Soon") on the desktop near the trash icon. Move all the stuff out of the Trash bin into the Trash Soon Folder. Then move the things you really want to eliminate to the Trash can. Empty Trash.
DO NOT store anything you want to keep in the real Trash can. There are many activities that may cause "Empty Trash" a a side-effect.
If you have multiple drives, The Trash is an illusion created for your convenience. The actual Items may be on several different drives, but all marked as "in Trash". Moving them to a folder on a different drive may cause unexpected copying.

Depends on which photos.
Camera Roll pics ( taken with the iphone) can be deleted one at a time from the iphone, or when you import them to your computer as with any digital camera.
Pics synced to your iphone from your computer are deleted the sam way - the sync process. Open itunes, select what you want on your iphone, sync.

Seems that IOS 6 no longer allows me to select and remove songs from iTunes as it used to. The only way I can do it now is one song at a time on the phone which is insanely tedious for the amount of stuff I add and remove on a regular basis.

I can't possible delete the thousands of junk files that showed up in Finder once I downloaded Maverick. I can't delete more than one at a time now. Why won't the highlighting stay in place on more than one file that I want to delete?

Well, I guess my heading says it all. I am trying to delete multiple (like A LOT) of photos from my camera roll on my iphone 5 without connecting to my computer. All other instructions I've read on here do not work. (I'm not saying I read ALL instructions though) But the ones I've read, do not work.

In prior versions you could select a rabge and delete them all at one time.

When you open the History sidebar (Ctrl-H), you can only right-click an entry, Delete This Page, but if you open the History Library (Ctrl-Shift-H), multiple entries can be selected as above and then press the Delete key.

My iPhone 4 automatically downloaded the iOS6 update. I have no intention to update because of the change to the maps. I use the maps everyday for work. Go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores
Click the Apple ID at the top then click Sign out on the pop up menu.
If there are any apps that the old user has downloaded on your iPhone still you will need to delete them as it will ask for the password whenever you try to up date them
