How do I delete pages templates?

I have forgotton how to remove templates from pages.I remember having problems with this last time I had a clean up when the published solution didn't work, but with a bit of trial and error I did manage to delete old no longer used templetes. Sorry for forgetting this procedure - it's my age!

Hi AnaMusic
Yes it was. Simple really.
My problem is that despite using Macs since 1988 (Still have a working MacPlus) with all the developments of the OS's, models, etc. and a true Apple fan, I just get on with my work and use the equipment. That's part of the reason why I am probably obsessed with them.
This then creates problems, like my one today. Things rarely go wrong and I am familiar with everything that I use, in general, and actually produce a lot of work. So when I come to do a bit of clearing up, for example, because it is such an infrequent event, I just don't remember.
It is very reassuring to know that I am part of a global community, including Apple themselves, who tolerate people like me who probably should know better but just do not.
Thank you for responding.
Kind regards
Mick

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion & Mountain Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Or you can choose Go to Folder from the Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:
    ~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates/

I have created some new temlates in pages that i no longer need. How do I delete them? thx.

    Hi Jj,
The same way you delete any other files:
In the Fnder, navigate to the folder containing the file(s), select the files then either press command-delete, go File (menu) > Move to Trash, or use the mouse to drag the files to the Trash.
With templates, though, the difficult part is navigating to the folder containing the files.
It's at the end of this path:  username > Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
In Lion and Mountain Lion, you can get to your Library (from the Finder) by pressing the option key as you go to the Go menu and choose Library, then follow the rest of the path as listed above.

    Barry

  • How to create a page template?

    Hi!
I need to create a page template. There are any templates and the page preview option show an overview about the region and areas these. I would like to create a based page in this template. I think that I should know:
1 - How to create the shortcut?
2 - How to create the page template?
3 - How to assign a region with a page template?

    Hi people!
I get to resolve any items. Anything important are:
    - you can to view a structure of page template. The first you view it in the menu Shared Components >> Templates. There is a icon in the column "Preview" for the page, report and region template items. In the click on the icon you can view a template structure that should be shown in the execution.
    - You can view where will be inserted a region on the option "display point". You need to click on the icon in the right of the "display point" option;
Well, If you pay attention in the two options you will know how to modify a template and how to create.

How do I delete pages temporarily from my website, but still save them in iWeb 2008, so I can re-use them later ?
    Kay.

    There are two ways:
1 - go to the Inspector/Page/Page and uncheck the "Include page in navigation menu" checkbox. This will keep the page with the site but it won't be available thru the navbar.
2 - create a new site with iWeb, a holding site, and drag the page down to it.

How do I delete my templates from Word 2011 in OSX 10.8.5?  I cannot find user/library in the finder.  Please help.

They will be in the MS Templates folder located in the MS Office folder in your Applications folder.
    Exposing the /Home/Library/ Folder
Pick one of the following methods:
    A. This method will make the folder visible permanently. Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and paste the following at the command prompt:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library
    Press RETURN.
    B. Click on the Desktop, press the OPTION (⌥) button, select Library from the Finder's Go menu.
    C. Select Go To Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Paste the following in the path field:
    ~/Library
    Press the Go button.

How can I delete pages from a pdf file

    Hi timk,
None of the Acrobat.com online services allow you to edit a PDF file. But, in checking your account, I see that you purchased an Acrobat Standard subscription, and you can certainly use that to edit a PDF file.
Have you downloaded and installed Acrobat Standard? It sounds to me as though you may be opening the PDF file in Adobe Reader, rather than Acrobat. (Reader doesn't allow you to edit PDF files.)
If you haven't already, download and install Acrobat from https://cloud.acrobat.com/acrobat. Then, make sure that you're opening your PDF files in that rather than Reader, when you want to edit them.
Please let us know how it goes!
    Best,
    Sara

In Reader, you cannot. In Acrobat control-shift-D (Windows) or command-shift-D (Mac). If you tell us what version of Acrobat and your OS we can give you a gui way to do that, but it changed between versions 9 and versions 10.

Hold you finger down on the iPone App icon until it starts shaking then hit the x to delete it.
Pages does not get deleted from your Mac because they are 2 separate applications on two separate operating systems, that just share a same file format.

  • How do I delete pages on a sheet in Numbers?

How do I delete pages on a sheet in Numbers? I have 6 pages, and only need 2.

"Totally unintuitive" is often a way of saying "not the way I've become accustomed to."
In the Numbers Help menu, you will see "Numbers '09 User Guide." Choosing this item downloads a searchable PDF file containing the guide—a much better and easier to use resource than the indexed, but not fully searchable Help files.
Numbers uses a model sufficiently different from "what you've been accustomed to" that I'd recommend reading at least the first two (or three) chapters straight through. The rest of the guide can be left to read on an 'as needed' basis.
You'll also find a link to the iWork formulas and functions User Guide in the Help menu. If you're going to write formulas in your spreadsheets, you'll want to download that as well, and keet it available as a reference guide.
    Regards,
    Barry
PS: I found this particular aspect of Numbers (what you see on the screen is what you get, but you can scale it to fit on fewer—or more—pages if you want) a fairly 'intuitive' (read: 'familiar') concept, since I'd been using the similar 'resize' feature with copy machines to make copied originals fit the page size to which I was copying them for as long as it has been available.
