I recently upgraded to the EA6500 from the EA4500, however under Linksys Smart Wifi i can still see "EA4500 (offline)". How do i get rid of this? The EA4500 is no longer being used - i will shorlty flog this on fleabay.

i guess you can re-register to a new Smart WiFi account. not sure if there's an option to use an existing one.

So upon getting my new Macbook Pro, I of course began to sync what songs I had purchased from iTunes on my old Windows computers, and iPod and iPhone, that were supposed to be stored in the Cloud. Well, as I've been importing all the physical CD's i own, I began to notice that some of my iTunes purchases hadnt downloaded from the Cloud. So now I've gone through my iPod to see what songs are missing and which aren't. I know now that I am missing two full albums, as well as what I think is another 25+ single songs I've downloaded, and unfortuantely I cannot figure out how to retrieve them for the life of me. I'm very frustrated that all my purchases didnt show up from the Cloud in the first place! Any help?

How can I delete previous owners ID from iMac without original media?

Hi there,
Hope someone can help me as I'm relatively clueless!
We have purchased a 2nd hand iMac from Amazon and have been trying to download from the Mac App Store, we both have Apple IDs but when we are trying to download/purchase an app that was previously downloaded by the last owner it is only giving us the option to Accept and not purchase, after signing in it then gives us the error message that it has already been downloaded to the previous ID and if we want to download it we need to re-purchase it, which is fine.
So my question is how do we do this? we did not get any original media in the box so cannot factory reset and redownload.
Fingers crossed someone has the answer as I'm itching to get on and use the machine!!

Hi Vicky ...
Since this is a 2nd hand iMac, you can reformat the drive by using Lion Recovery
That will delete all the personal data from the previous owner so you can start fresh from factory settings.
we did not get any original media in the box so cannot factory reset and redownload.
New Macs do not come with optical media.

I would like to so precisely that with some hideous purchases that keep showing up on my phone as downloadable from the Icloud even when I "hid" those purchases, and it annoyes me since I don't want to listen to those songs ever again in my life. Can somebody help me please? Let's remember the main issue here is that I'm not subscribed to Itunes match, and I don't want to subscribe to it. Is there any way to permanently delete those songs from my account without having to subscribe to Itunes match? Thank you.

How do I delete digital movie downloads from I cloud

I have a half dozen or so digital movie downloads in iTunes. I think they were originally downloaded onto my iPad 2. And then shared via the cloud with all of my Mac devices ( MacBook, iphone 5, iphone 4, iPad 2 and iPad 1). One of the movies is copying itself onto my Mac hundreds of times. I highlighted the copies and clicked delete. Clicked move to trash. They all cleared and then started popping back up at about 1 copy every 2-3 minutes. How can I stop this? Thank you for any help.

I'm not sure you can delete them from iCloud. They don't use your personal iCloud storage. You can hide them though, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919.
If iTunes is acting up, try signing out of your Apple ID (Store>Sign Out). Then quite iTunes (command-Q), restart your Mac, then go back and open iTunes again and sign back in with your ID (Store>Sign In). See if works properly now.

Try this (assuming you're using iPhoto 12): make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the three fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
Select options #1, #2 and #6.
Fix #3
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:

Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

You will need to connect your iPad to your computer, and on the Photos tab de-select those folders that you no longer want on the iPad - they can't be deleted directly on the iPad. If you no longer want any synced photos on your iPad then you can select and sync just an empty folder.

I spent some time looking through my calendar and couldn't find any option/way to delete a whole year's entries and appointments. My suggestion is to make sure to constantly update your calendar as things occur that way you won't have to delete the events one by one. I could be wrong and there could be some special/hidden setting I don't know about to delete a whole year's entries.

You can delete photo stream photos from iCloud by just deleting them on your iPod. My photo stream photos are automatically deleted from iCloud after 30 days anyway. Just so you are aware, deleting photo stream photos doesn't free up any space in your account as they don't use your personal iCloud account storage.
You can't delete music from iCloud because the music isn't stored in your account; it's stored in the iTunes store. What you are seeing are links to your previously purchased music in the iTuens store, allowing you to redownload them if you want to. You can't remove anything from your list of previous purchases. If you don't want to see these "iTunes in the Cloud" purchases in your song list, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and turn off Music under Show All. LIke photo stream photos, this music doesn't use any of your personal iCloud account storage.

You can't delete an account, you can only stop using it. If you're getting that error message you won't be able to create a new account on your device. Your only options are to re-use one of the accounts previously created, or create a new account on a different iOS device or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher), if you have one.

You'll need to contact the previous owner to get them to remove the account.
There is no way to bypass this security feature. If you can't contact the previous owner you have wasted your money and have a phone you'll never be able to use.
