How do I delete several emails at a time on my Airbook?

I have over 8,000 emails.  Most of which I want to trash.  Is there a simple way to group them together and delete all at once?

To delete contiguous emails in a list (for example old mail sorted by date), singe click on the top one, scroll down to the bottom one, hold down the Shift key and single click on the bottom one, right click (or Option-click) on the messages highlighted in blue, and then select Delete.
Then Mailbox > Erase Deleted Items.

A new window appears allowing you to move all messages to the trash.

  • How can i send several emails at one time

Im trying to send an email out to several addresses and im getting a mailer demon message. How can i send this one email to several addresses?

How many addresses are you trying to send to at once? Normally you can send a message to a reasonable number of recipients at once, but your mail provider may impose limitations.
What does the mailer message say? Is it bouncing on a specific email address? (In which case, make sure you typed it correctly)

  • How do I "delete all" emails at one time ??

I use POP3 email accounts. There isn't a slick way (that I can see) to select every email from your inbox and delete them. Has anyone come up with a solution for this ??
And please don't answer with: switch to an imap account.

    Thanks!

I don't access an antiquated email account type, so I have nothing to complain about.
If Apple included a delete all at once option for an account's Inbox mailbox, the habitual whiners that did this by accident would come unglued.

  • How do I delete multiple emails at one time

I have a ton of emails that I don't need to keep on my iPad. Is there a way to delete everything at once without tapping each individual email? If not, can I just delete the accounts and then re-enter them?
    Thanks,

You can do it from the Email app the way described by Japid, it's still not fast by any means at all. but, I believe that if you use Yahoo or Google, etc.......you can go to the site on Safari and log into your, say, Yahoo account from there. That should give you more & faster options for deleting groups of e-mails at a time. I know, I literally have tens of thousands on an account I've had for years. I should just delete it, but I'm unable to convince myself for some stupid reason, as if I'm going to miss some important  message from a work mate I had 8 years and 2 jobs ago or something lame.

  • How do I delete many emails at one time

I just upgraded to ML and can no longer paint the messages and delete many at one time. I can only delete them one by one.Thanks.

you need to click on 1st message
release the mouse or trackpad click
press and hold SHIFT or CMD
and click again on another message
if you still have envelope instead of cursor you mouse or trackpad may have a problem.

We'll I don't think there's a easy way to delete a lot of emails besides deleting all of them. To delete all of them click on inbox them edit then "mark all" then trash/delete. Other than that you will have to specifically deleted the ones you want to delete.

I have been accessing several different email addresses that I no longer use. How can I delete those email personalities from Thunderbird

Looks like you already found this answer but to save another volunteer from answering again and for future searches here is how to remove an old email account.
'''Before you remove an account in Thunderbird, move any messages for that account that you want to keep into a local folder. Removing an account will take all messages associated with that account that are not in a local folder with it.'''
Press the alt key if the Menu Bar is not showing.
From the Menu Bar select Tools-Account Settings
    Select the account
    Account Actions-Remove Account
Please mark this solved it you are satisfied with the answer.

How do I delete stored email addresses in my iphone? When sending photos, I don't want to have certain email addresses  "popping up" from the internal memory, I've deleted my entire "Contact" list but they still appear.  Help please!

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

  • How do I delete ALL emails on Droid Turbo (pop3)?

I have a Droid Turbo, and love it. But I cannot figure out how to mass delete (all) emails from the phone. I use Pop3 to my email.
I know you can swipe individual emails to delete or press and hold on an email to select, then do the same individually to many and then delete, but I cannot find a "delete all" option like my previous Droid Maxx. Because I haven't been able to keep up with it, I have over 999 emails sitting in there with no way at the moment to delete them all unless I spend a few hours deleting each one, one by one.
    Any help here?
    Thanks.

That is extremely disappointing. If I delete the account from my phone, will it delete all the messages that way? I might have to find a way to delete and re-add the mail into the phone as the current amount of messages is a large bloat to the phone.
Also, where do I suggest this "delete all" be added to the phone? This was on the Droid Maxx and previous versions. It is odd they would remove an option that could cause extreme bloat.

You can only delete them one at a time on the iPad. If you have an IMAP email account, go to your email in on the server using a web browser and select as many as you can at a time and delete them that way. That action will be reflected on the iPad. In IMAP - whatever you do on one device syncs across all devices. If you have POP email - start deleting one at a time.
