How do i delete sync photos from 3g iphone

I've sync pictures from camera roll to comoputer but itunes will not let me organize or delete photos..?

Hi Patricia,
The only way I know of is to delete them from the folder they are in on your Mac/PC and then resync your iPhone.

  • How do I delete synced photos in my iPhone individually?

I can delete photos taken with iPhone but, how do I delete synced photos in my iPhone? I do not see a trashcan.

So basically there is no answer to this question except workarounds. In my opinion, I think this is another bad design of the iPhone. I already love all the things that my iPhone can do but it just small things like this that I think Apple could have done it better. Why can't I delete the photos on my iPhone without tied down to a computer and if when I am syncing back to my computer it gives me the option if I want to sync from my iPhone to my computer or from my computer to my iPhone. I don't think that is so hard to do.

  • How do I delete synced photos from my IPad 2? My computer is no longer holding a charge and I would like to delete photos I synced without my computer

I hope that it is not true that I cannot delete photos thaI synced to my iPad. I cannot use my computer because it is not charging. How do I remove synced photos from my iPad without the use of my ITunes?

This is a problem. Normally you do need to connect to the computer you've synced ith previously to delete albums that were copied from that computer.
In the case where the old computer fails, crashes or is sold or discarded, you need to get all of your stuff off the iPad and onto a new computer. Visit Apple support to learn how to do this. Once you establish a new tunes library on a different computer you can sync and delete the photo albums you no longer want.
Another option is to restore your iPad to its original state. That will delete everything including photos, non default apps, music, videos, etc.
Once reset and erased you can download all purchased apps again.

  • I would like to know how I can delete sync photos from my ipad as I have tried everything to delete them as they are unwanted and it was a first time try

I am having problems deleting unwanted photos from my photos app on my ipad, I synced with my pc as i wanted to see how the system worked, and now i cannot delete any of them, even with the delete button at the top left hand side, which does not function

If it was synced from your computer then it can't be deleted directly on the iPad, you will need remove/de-select it from where you synced it from on your computer and re-sync.

  • HT4236 How do I remove synced photos from my IPhone?

I have tried to delete my photos that I have synced from my photo library and it just won't work! I followed the Apple Support directions and still nothing, the photos are still there!!!

    Hello there, Shrid.
The following Knowledge Base article reviews how to Sync photos:
    iTunes: Syncing photos
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
You will just sync to the new computer. Keep in mind:
    Additional Information
Syncing photos with your device will create an iPod photo cache.
Syncing photos can only happen from one computer or user account at a time. Syncing photos with a different computer or user replaces the photos on the device.
You can't reimport pictures synced from your computer to your device back to your computer. You can only import pictures in the Camera Roll or Saved Photos from your device to your computer. If you need to retrieve synced photos from your device:
Email them from the device to yourself.
Copy them from the emails to your computer.
On iPhone and iPod touch using iOS 5 and iOS 6, all synced photos will appear in a unified category called photo library. Photos are not duplicated; this is a way to view all synced albums in one place. You can also tap a specific album beneath photo library to view individual albums.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro D.

  • Why can't I delete synced photos from my iPhone?

Early iPhones did not have especially good cameras, so this was not an issue. However, starting with the iPhone 4s, it became clear that iPhones would begin to replace standard point-and-shoot cameras. Space would soon become a problem. You could be on a trip and begin to run out of space and find that any photos you had synced using iTunes (before your trip) could not be deleted. Even if you had an iPad with more storage, you could not delete those older synced photos. Apparently, you were supposed to have brought your Mac or PC on the trip, just so that you could use iTunes To delete synced photos.
I don't understand Apple's rationale for this limitation.
As of this writing, Apple does not provide a tablet that runs iTunes. So it would seem that the only solution is to buy a PC tablet such as Microsoft surface tablet. Only then would you have a full fully portable tablet that would allow you to run the iTunes program to delete old synced photos and make more room on your iPhone.
Of course you can use airdrop to transfer photos from the iPhone camera roll to an iPad and then delete them from your iPhone, but why would you want to get rid of the newer photos on your iPhone rather than the old ones that had been synced before your trip?
SInce Apple does not offer a tablet that runs OS X (and therefore is iTunes capable), this policy would seem to be in advertisement for Microsoft.
    Am I missing something?

When the new iCloud Photo Library and its accompanying Photo app for Mac is available, this problem will go away. In the mean time, you have another option. Instead of syncing albums or photos from your photo library onto your device, why not create a shared Photo Stream with the older photos you want to have with you? Those can be deleted as you wish.
Or, as Ralph suggested, if you are planning a trip, remove the excess photos before you leave so you do not run out of room.
    Cheers,

  • How do I get synced photos from an iPhone?

I just visited a couple of friends and we took some photos with their camera. I wanted to bring the shots home with me so we loaded them into iPhoto on their iMac and created an album with the new photos. I then used iTunes on their iMac to sync that album to my iPhone (replacing everything but the camera roll on the iPhone).
I'm now home and have tried iPhoto and Image Capture but neither will get the synced album from the iPhone; they just get the camera roll. How do I get these photos off the iPhone and into my MacBook Pro?
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve  = : ^ )

You can e-mail them to yourself.
The picture sync is one way - computer to iphone.  There are also not of the original quality, as they are reduced in quality when synced to iphone.  It may be best to have your friends e-mail you a full quality photo.

  • How do I delete all photos from the iPhone?

    Hi,
I want to delete all the photos from my iPhone4 running iOS5. I have copied all the photos on my HDD. I cant use the individual delete process as i have almost 2500 images.
    Thanks and Regards,

Delete the pictures in the "camera roll" using computer.
    On Windows:
Open up the DCIM folder from "My computer", select all the pictures/videos (Ctrl + A) and hit delete.
You could have selected the option "erase after importing" while importing the pictures on to your HDD.

On iOS7 the described option is no available so there doesn't seem to be an easy way to delete all images.

  • How do I delete duplicate photos from my iPhone 6?

I have double the amount of pictures on my iPhone 6, which I actually should have. (Over 11,000). I did have "save original photo" with HDR off but have since turned it off. When I synced via iTunes with iPhoto Libray a couple weeks ago, somehow the files doubled to over 11,000.
I have since deleted all my duplicates in my iPhoto Library but can't figure out how to delete from the phone.
I am not using iCloud Photo but do have Photostream activated.
How can I access my duplicates and automatically delete them?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Just in case you're confused about what you see inside your Photo app ...
You have sync'd a set of pictures from your Mac to your iPhone.  These appear as an Album within the Photo app on your iPhone.
There is also the "Photos" category within the Photo app, and that is a summary of all your sync'd albums (if you had more than one) plus what is in your Camera Roll.  The Photos category lets you look at all pictures that are loaded onto your iPhone.
So pictures you sync from your Mac will appear in at least two places -- the album you sync'd and the overall summary in "Photos", but these are not duplicates of the same pictures, just different ways to access the same picture.

  • How can i delete these photos from my iphone?

I had to do a dfu reset on my phone (without restoring a backup) to fix a data problem i was having, so i have spent the past week manually backing up specific app data that i can't live without (such as the songs i have written/recorded with garageband) and my notes and contacts and photos...etc to my computer. I did that with a program called iexplorer. Then after the restore i had to get all that stuff back on my phone and it's all been sorted out so far except this problem i encountered with my photos: i wanted my photos back in the camera roll just like they were before the reset and the only program i could find to do this was "iFunBox". I started with the first folder of about 70 pics, the import appeared successful from my computer, then i looked on my phone and it did not show them in the camera roll or even a folder beside camera roll (under the albums tab), but when i switched the tab to photos it showed them all there. But the strange part is i am unable to delete them and it shows the date as 1947, which obviously isn't right. In itunes it also does not show the pictures, even in iFunBox it doesn't show them. I tried syncing my photos with an empty album and it did nothing. How can i get rid of these photos without having to do another factory reset? And once i get them off, how do i get all my photos back onto the camera roll? Emailing them isn't an option because i have over 1500 pictures and emailing them 21 at a time is simply not going to happen. Please help!!

If the photos were synced to your phone from your computer using iTunes, you have to sync them off to remove them (by deselecting them on the photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing).

    Hi QuisB123,
If you are having an issue with reclaiming free space after deleting photos from your iPhone, use the steps in this article to assist -
If you get a "Not enough free space" alert on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    Specifically -
Orphaned files might remain on your iOS device if it's physically disconnected while syncing music, podcasts, videos, or photos. This can prevent iTunes from syncing the iOS device on subsequent sync sessions. When this happens, you might see a large amount of "Other" disk usage for the iOS device in the Capacity indicator in iTunes. Try these steps:
Turn off the music or photo sync option in iTunes for the device.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Turn the music and photo sync options for the device on again.
Click Apply again to try to sync the device to iTunes. If you see the "Not enough free space" alert, continue to step 5.
Turn off the automatic syncing functions for the iOS device:
Select the iOS device from the iTunes window and click the Summary tab.
Deselect "Automatically sync when this device is connected" and select the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Reduce the amount of data that is being synced to the device and resync the device. For example, if syncing your Music library exceeds the memory capacity of the device, choose "Selected playlists" to transfer rather than "All songs and playlists" under the Music tab in iTunes. If you see the "Not enough free space" alert, continue to step 6.
    Restore using iTunes.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Brett L

  • HT201077 How do I delete some photos from my photo stream only on my iPhone?

How do I delete some photos from my photo stream only on my iPhone? I do not want the photos that haved been placed on my MAC and Ipad deleted, just my phone. I also want the videos off my phone.

If you delete them from photo stream they will also be deleted on your other devices.  To keep them on your iPad, save them to the camera roll (open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Save to Camera Roll).  To keep them on you Mac, go to iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream and check Automatic Import.  You can confirm that they are saved in your iPhoto library by clicking on Photo Stream on the left sidebar of iPhoto, open your My photo Stream album, then control-click on your photos.  If the pop-up says "Show in Library" they are safely stored in your iPhoto library. Then you can delete them from your phone and they will remain on your other devices.
To import videos, see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  If you only want to delete them go ahead.  Photo stream doesn't sync videos so this will have not impact on your other devices.
